Pros: We had an amazing view of the river. Sitting and watching the river and all the greenery was really relaxing. Fire pit was handy. Laundry room was big and clean. Lots of pool options if we'd wanted to use them. Cons: We got there a half hour after checkin in and all the full hookups were full. No problem, they have a dump station, so we took a non sewer site. But when we left, the dump station was out of order and they'd set aside a full hookup site to dump. Ok, no problem. Except it was a super tight back-in spot, even for our 16 foot trailer, and on a hill. If we'd had anything bigger, we'd have never made it. As we drove through the full hookup sites, several said "no sewer". So something is up with the sewer there. Bathroom stalls all had broken locks. Plugs didn't work in the bathroom. Showers were gross despite the fact I came in immediately after they were supposed to be cleaned. Like dirt and hair on the floor. And while the showers had curtains, the changing areas are communal. There's no place to put your stuff in your own area to get dressed without it getting soaked. Basically it was fine for hanging out and relaxing but the amenities were lacking. And if I'd had kids with me, the road proximity would have terrified me. Just feels like they've put money into some things and not in others and the things I cared about aren't the things they cared about. read more

WORST RV CAMPGROUND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give this hell hole a -10/10 i could rate it this for gods sake.... Let me just begin with saying we purchased our membership here over 6 months ago. Knowing this we asked if it was ok before we purchased the member ship if it was fine if we didn't have someone else to pull our rv but just someone to pull us in everytime. They said yes and has been like this.... UNTIL TODAY. Good god the people who work here have a combined IQ of 20 (I'm being generous when I say this) all of a sudden before we are getting ready to pull in the here all of a sudden we receive a call saying the manager has always "reportedly" said that you have to specifically have your OWN truck to pull your trailer. If you're looking for a fun place DO NOT come here ever. I hope this place gets shutdown with all the literal health hazards and what have you here. Not to mention the people in the campgrounds steal all the fuckijf time from others and nothing gets reported even with all surveillance. Not to mention the MANAGER. Dumber than a bag of rocks and then more!!!! .not only is she such a fucking power trip and prick she also is just crazy.... Multiple times I have been exiting to go to work or just run errands and if I am even going 1 MPH above 5 she'll literally whip her car or golf cart in front of your car and give you that bitchy look. Though my fiancee and I will never return to this run-down, poorly managed campground with generally rude staff, I must compliment the person who took our last-minute reservation and checked us in, and the couple (who didn't even work there) that gave us a jump start. Our plans changed last minute, so we had no chance to read reviews - we figured, it's two nights, they got us a site, let's try them out. Big mistake on our part. Our experience is similar to what many others have said. I suspect the glowing reviews for this place are from long-term resident campers to prop up the ratings. That's where the positive aspects end. First, you will pay over $50/night for a site (obviously an old RV stall - these are not true tent sites) with no guarantee of getting a fire ring and picnic table. Also, the sites have no privacy at all and are so close to the road that you'll hear loud traffic all night. On top of that, if you are unlucky enough to get a tent site on the lower part of the campground, you won't even have a honey bucket available. You will have to cross the main road in the dark. Having said that, the bathrooms were quite clean. Be aware the promo photos are carefully taken to exclude the run down areas. There's a persistent "outsider/resident" vibe here that's pretty uncomfortable too. It's apparent that many of the campers are permanent or long-term there, and the staff treats those people differently. The kids run wild, the parents give you dirty looks at the common areas, and the staff only enforces the park speed limit on their whim. We returned for the day on Saturday, stopped at the restrooms, and that's when a staff member *blocked* my car with her gold cart, while the camper that apparently had complained also stopped BLOCKING my car, like they were some kind of cops. After lecturing me while effectively detaining me, the staff member continued to talk to the other camper before unblocking me. I'm still exploring my legal options against that employee - I didn't feel comfortable confronting or questioning her. We left a day early - it wasn't worth another loud night with that awful staff. They make you feel "watched". Save your money, and find another local campground with basic site amenities, about half the price, a welcoming vibe, and professional staff. This is one of the best places to go camping with family. The staff are amazing and kind alway helpful and ready to answer you questions. I have been there for a few months as an annual. They have lot of activities for kids on Saturday's in the summer and movie nights for the whole family. The other annuals are kind of like a second staff they always helping out and are willing to answer any questions you would have. read more

Although the park is being run by minimal staff the campground remains clean and fully functional. There are three pools and a hot tub (all heated) so, even on the drizzle days you can swim comfortably. A Mini golf course, shuffle board, and horse shoes that you can borrow the supplies to play from the rangers station. The Staff is friendly and welcoming. The red barn and lounge are open for family time or just a place to escape to get a quick WiFi fix. The park is beautiful. Had a wonderful stay and look forward to our next stay. read more

We were very disappointed... The "free" wifi hot spot wouldn't allow internet access, if you wanted that it was an extra charge - slightly misleading. If you stay in the $51.00/night site you got Porta pottys and to get to any of the amenities you had to cross the highway to the 'nice' (124.00/night) part of the campground. Felt truly like first class/second class separation and not very family friendly, I sure wouldn't let my kids cross the highway to the playground! The veiw way outstanding along the river, but friendliness and amenities are sorely lacking for the price and quality of a Thousand Trails campground. OH! This is our second stay in this TT site. This campground gets us closer to Seattle and Tacoma so we can enjoy some of the bigger cities amenities. Last weekend they were more full and we had to stay across the street. Honestly, it's not a big deal. I don't know what all these people are saying about having to cross a highway to get to the first class portion. It's a road and not a very busy one at that. It's true that the more permanent camp sites look junky but it's like that everywhere we've been. People have too much junk in general. We stayed at one TT site where they had a couch outside! The sites are a good size and easy enough to back in our 30foot 5th wheel. We also have a 43 foot fifth wheel that would fit in most of these sites. My only downfall is it's been pretty muddy the last two weekends up here. Now, I realize TT cannot control the weather but it would be nice if they added some gravel down or mulch (at least on the walkways, park area, etc) so we could walk or walk the dog without getting so muddy. We've only used the bathroom a handful of times between the 5-6 days we were here but they've always been clean. My children have enjoyed the park and the golf course as well. I'm not sure why someone said they had to buy or pack their own the golf clubs. That isn't the case here or any other TT we've stayed in with a mini putt-putt. You do have to purchase a ball ($1 at the gift shop) which honestly seems reasonable to me. read more

My family stayed there this last weekend. Very nice staff, clean bathrooms, friendly people, awesome pools and hot tub. I would only have to say is that grounds are not very well kept. Overgrown weeds everywhere. Also our site was on an incline. We had 2 tents and a travel trailer. There wasn't much room left to sit around the fire so people had to sit on a hill and the whole time we were worried a kid someone was going to fall into the fire pit. I wish it was more level. But we will be back again. Just not with so many people. read more

Other reviewers complained about staff. This is accurate. I will try to make this a brief as possible. The staff is OK. The manager is something else. We've stayed there 3 times this year. 1) 9/23/21: Day after arrival, found an anonymously handwritten sticky note on our truck's passenger window telling us to display our handicap placard when staying in handicap spot over night. Meanwhile, our truck displays handicap license plates in plain sight... 10/12/21: Departure day. Last we heard, road closure was between certain hours due to construction until Oct 15. Got a call telling us check out is 11am. We were waiting until the road was opened. They said the road opened 2 days prior. No one told us so, how could we know? We left right away. Went back 2 weeks later. 2) 11/6/21: 11 days into our stay we get a phone call asking if we were physically in the park. Why? Because they never see us. o_0 What do they want us to do? Sit outside in the cold and non-stop rain in our lawn chairs and wave a them every day as they go by in their cart? Parking in the spot, turning lights on and off, blinds opened and closed, erecting a 10 x 10 and doing laundry isn't enough, I guess. WEIRD! Starting to feel picked on. 3) 11/22/21: Truck was little bit on the grass (not much) in the tight ass handicap spot we were in behind a bathroom with ZERO accessibility. Anyway, they told us to move it off the grass. We did without hesitation. Truck was kept parked in our site and off the grass after that. 12/12/21: Long story but basically a "Karen" neighbor falsely reports us to manager saying things we did and said to them that we never did. Manager REFUSED to listen to us. Our mistake was not immediately going to the office for a face-to-face. We departed 12/14 according to our schedule. 12/22/21 we received a letter dated 12/16/21 (2 days after departure) from regional manager threatening membership due to 2 member rule violations (completely unrelated to neighbor incident) submitted to corporate by Thunderbird manager. (Tell me you're a petty tyrant without actually telling me you're a petty tyrant.) Letter has no names, no phone numbers, no addresses, no email addresses, nothing on how to contact anyone or how to dispute the charges or what they want us to do to resolve these supposed violations. All we could find out is that the regional manager is on Christmas vacation and unavailable. How convenient. read more

I stopped by yesterday and met with a lady about my husband and I getting passes,she drove me in golf cart all over the place showing me all the places to stay and camp grounds,RV slots and fun stuff to do with adults and the kids I Nanny for. I loved the place. My husband is on his way now to go buy a yearly or longer membership. The gal also showed me a bunch of locations all over the Northwest, even met some nice res at the grounds. This park was great. We took our RV and parked right by the river and there were minimal bugs, quiet, and the river was perfect. The staff (the one lady we interacted with) was great. Our reservation got messed up (we booked thru rvonthego) but she spent 20 minutes getting us a refund then finding us a new reservation for that day. Absolutely will NOT be back. Grass is overgrown everywhere. There are no defined separation of sites because of this and people had their tents, dogs and lawn chairs touching our slideouts. Garbage and dog poop scattered around. Rude employees. Scolded at check in for pulling ahead 2 feet further than marked. Scolded at the pool for letting our baby in the adult pool that was not marked anywhere. I guess we are just supposed to know these things. We follow rules in life. All of them. I do not like being scolded by rude and unhappy employees like I'm a felon. Bathrooms were disguising (in the am) amenities are in disrepair. We will not be coming back. read more

We are part of thousand trails so we wanted to try out this campground while we were up visiting family. We ended up renting one of the cabins it was absolutely adorable. Very updated definitely worth the price. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we never got to get out and look around. Hot water ran out quite quickly but I did end up doing three baths at night for my grandchildren. We never ran into any staff so I cannot comment on how they are. But overall I think this place will be awesome to stay at during spring or summer. read more

We had a great time here! We brought a tent , but be aware that the park is really set up for RV campers. Like another reviewer mentioned, tent spaces border the main road which has a fair amount of traffic. Also, the fee for my tent and four campers was only $7 less than an RV spot with electric and water hookups. Not a bargain. Kids enjoyed the pool and mini golf. Pool was well maintained, mini golf course could have used some mowing as the tall grass made it difficult to find balls that went astray. Great playground and adequate bathroom/shower facilities. Bathrooms seemed to be cleaned constantly by staff, who were all quite friendly. Scenic location is a plus. read more

The only compliant I have is that when you rent a cabin they do not provide blankets,sheets or pillows on the beds they have a bag that has all those things and it is vacuumed sealed and it has a note that says that you have to pay $15 and if you open it.It is ridiculous how they don't provide blankets or anything like that considering the cost of the cabin,you whould think it would come included . read more

This was our first stay at a Thousand Trails campground, and it was not what we expected. The staff was not helpful, not happy, couldn't answer our questions. As we pulled in and were getting the fifth wheel unhitched one of the ladies came around in a golf cart and asked why we didn't have our tag in the window....we had been there like three minutes, calm down. There were only a few spots open, which is fine, but three out of four were on ridiculous hills with NO room for chairs, dogs, table or a fire pit. Everything is overgrown!! You can barely see the mini golf because of the weeds. When asked when they usually mow, she said all the time this was not the case. We had a spot, I guess, near long time campers and the majority of the their sites were rundown, lots of stuff outside, just kind of a mess. The few tent sites at the end of the campground looked like a homeless park. The tents had all kinds of crap around them, broken down cars, too many people to one tent. The pool wasn't open, and to play mini golf you had to have your own putters Yup, because those are what I usually pack for a trip.‍‍ Just a disappointment all around. Lastly, like a rotten cherry on top, don't make the mistake of ordering any Amazon packages, they will charge you $5 for each package to receive it and 'hold' it....what?!? Hold it?! My packages had been dropped off about an hour before I picked them up and it cost me $15 to get my own things. With what they charge for this joke of a campground, and extra for money for all the other crap, I would have rather boondocked at a Cracker Barrel. Don't make the mistake we did!! read more

I have not been here as of yet, planning on going this weekend, the problems so far is that if you are not a member of Thousand Trails they have a spot outside the gates to park without full hookup. I will update Review once we stay there this weekend. Ok, so we spent a weekend here with friends and had a good time. Its a first come first serve location as are all Thousand Trails locations so I got there at noon to make sure I got a spot inside the resort. Even getting there when check in opened there was only 3 sites available. If you are not a member of Thousand Trails you have to park across the street and no sewer. First place I have seen this. They also ran out of ice on Saturday mid-day, kind of suprised about that, then we see a golf cart driving by with ice, a head scratcher. The sites in the resort are nice and flat and have some space between them, we did have to bring are own fir pit. We have a 22 foot travel trailer, fit well. Place has a nice pool for kids, adults, and a hot tub, as well as games and organized events like Horse Shoe tournaments. read more

This was our first experience with camping at a Thousand Trails property, so we have nothing to compare it to. The campground was nice overall. My two main complaints are the tent sites are RIGHT NEXT to the main road. There is nothing but a 3 ft chain link fence separating your sleeping quarters from a bunch of speed racer motorcycles that fly down the road at all hours of the night. Super relaxing! Thousand Trails could very easily put the RV sites right there and the tent sites along the tree line. Makes much more sense. I spent the whole weekend terrified of a possible drunk driver barreling through our tent. My other complaint is they don't notify the campers when certain items cost money. When we checked in, we were given a calendar of fun events going on over the weekend. So we attended most of them, and they were fun, until we almost walked out on a $6.50/person breakfast buffet that we thought was free. If my husband hadn't gone up to thank the employees for the nice breakfast, we never would have known Also, we took our son to the ice cream social only to find out that cost money as well. It wasn't the cost that bothered us, but the fact we weren't told. We need to budget every last penny and if we had known about the cost, we would have had breakfast/ice cream at our own campsite. We chose to join the festivities for socializing. A little heads up would have been appreciated. read more

Less than one star , worst campground ever ! It's right off of the highway and we had to stay across the street from the main campground with all of the amenities. So if my 2 year old wanted to play on the slide we had to cross the highway. That would be the least of our problems. The tent camp space is a small stretch of grass backed up to a chain link fence and feet from the highway and there is no separation for the tent campers only a sign on the fence marked T1 - T10 we had one large tent and I think that was a stretch to fit it in. If you have multiple kids or tents you are screwed. And there is no fire pit or even a picnic table we had to ask for one. There seemed to be one every other tent spot. Probably to make it look more spacious. read more

Our family has been staying at this campground on and off for about a year. Our family has been members since the 80's. This thousand trails RV resort is one of the worst we've ever been to. This RV resort reminds us of a run down lived in old trailer park. It is not maintained at all. There is garbage all over the place. The sites are on top of each and completely unlevel. The water is constantly going out. The volleyball net was broken and well since has been taken down not repaired (not due to Covid) The roads are full of pot holes. The sites are mud pits. There is hardly ever anyone at the ranger shack and the security is awful. The wifi is suspect even tho you pay for it and it disconnects constantly. The majority of the staff is friendly however the manager Kim is judgemental and prefers paid nightly customers rather then members. This is contrary to other Thousand trails or encore properties. This isn't what we signed up for. At other locations they treat you as guests and family rather then an inconvenience. Please beware and don't waste a beautiful vacation on this place. Stay at Tall Cheif or Mount Vernon if you are coming to visit the Seattle area. read more

After reading the mixed reviews on this place I almost cancelled my reservation. I'm really glad I didn't! First off, this is a large, family oriented RV park and campground - so if you don't like the noises of happy children, it may not be for you. However, I was looking for lodging with a ten year old while we were attending a nearby horse show for a week. We rented a yurt which was comfortable, had a locking door and electricity for charging phones, etc. the beds were comfortable and it was a unique experience. Make sure you bring bedding or sleeping bags! There were two big pools, a hot tub, wading pool, playground, shuffle board and mini golf. The bathrooms were clean and there were four shower stalls. The staff were polite and it was a fun and economical alternative to staying in a hotel. I'll be staying here again! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The management is rude and has no customer service or business skills. I have been a thousand trails member and this by far is the worst TT I have been to in Washington State. Malcom the manager is very unprofessional. I would highly suggest visiting other TT in the area and skip this one. Instead of calling, they leave unprofessional nasty grams on your camper door with your member number. Since I am handicapped I don't open the door for anyone without my husband at the RV. I didn't respond to their notes wondering where I was because they haven't seen me. Since when do I have to check in daily with the front desk. I am physically not able to go down to the office without assistance. When you call the office phone it just rings and rings. They didn't see a car parked in front so they assumed I wasn't there. It's very upsetting that instead of calling they want to post nasty grams on my door. If they were really concerned they wouldn't have waited till the third day to call me. My husband called them back and they never even bothered to return his call. Management is so unprofessional and assuming. They should have started with a courtesy call to see if I was ok. That's what any professional person would do. I was a nurse before my injuries. People need to learn to be more caring and compassionate. Not only do I feel very uncomfortable because of the notes but now I feel they have gone out of their way to single me out. I don't want to go and use the amenities or anything because I feel I'm being watched. Who wants to be watched while they are supposed to be relaxing and vacationing. The only reason they deserve a 1 is because my kids like the playground. Other issues is that the park feels like a mobile park. No shade or trees between lots to actually feel like you are in the wilderness or camping. No spots for tent campers. Dirty facilities. This park is more equivalent to a trailer park. Small lots on top of each other. Really just disappointed. The park has older RVs too. If I would have had this experience my first time to TT, I would have never bought a TT membership. With service like this I will never upgrade my membership. read more

Worst. Resort. Ever. The manager, David, is a hateful man on a power trip. Despite being a park member & having made a reservation I was not allowed into the park and had to park across the street in their annex, more than doubling the walk to showers, laundry, etc. I came home to passive aggressive notes on my door every other day. And if you have a dog DO NOT visit Thunderbird. They claim to be dog friendly, but my experience did not reflect that. Parking is like a car lot. RVs are sandwiched in & there are notes posted everywhere about behavior guidelines. Based on other parks this place seemed flat out hostile. Based on my experiences I fully blame David for the hostility & issues that resulted in my moving parks. Awful water pressure, bathrooms were neglected even when the checklist on the door had been signed. Oh, and wifi only works in the laundry facility even though it's advertised as an amenity. Do not stay here. Period. The only upside is a sweet woman named Darla who was very accommodating. Other than that, I hate Thunderbird with a passion & will never return. read more

Stayed here for 3 weeks. Got no tv reception. Only had 30 amp hook up. Kept tripping the breaker when needed toaster or microwave. Grounds had some grass but ruts with mud in it. The roads through the camp were full of muddy holes. Not maintained at all. Won't visit here again.... Truly awful ! read more

The employees especially Chris the new manager of this park who allowed his employees to treat us this way, he even said it to me in his emails sent to me, and Troy and Janet and Cynthia are all horrible at there job, we had our power go out for an hour without any notice while they were doing electrical (it's not like they didn't know they had to turn off the power to do the electric work duh) don't play stupid, we paid good money to stay in a cabin for a week, had our electricity go out while my daughter was cooking up some food, then Janet wants to be an ass and just keep saying sorry and that she's in charge, WTH no your not! And I took pics of how I left the cabin in amazingly beautiful condition and there saying I didn't. Good thing I took before and after pics. Not to mention the floor of the pool cut all three of my kids wide open and it smells like eggs bad, and Troy kicked out some of the kids for playing in the pool but not others who we're doing the same, shame on him (((did I mention his kid was one who was diving and running but she didn't get kicked out)))... Bad Management! Customer service is very poor. The manager does not try to help the camper's situation, instead he tried to justify the wrong. The laundry has not been opened on time (supposedly 8am, we experienced this twice). The office never picks up the phone whenever we called them. The employee always parks at the visitor parking so my partner could not park at the visitor parking. We got chewed out today by the manager who called us and told us that if next time we have another parking visitor, we'll be charged. One time, we wanted to have a sewage pump on the schedule day, which was supposed to be $25. Yet, due to a pump problem, he said he would charge us $50 if he did on the same day. During the winter when the rain was hard, there was muddy grass in front of our RV. We asked the manager if it could be better if they pour gravel down on the road so the campers would not experience tracking mud into the RV. Instead of fixing the problem, the manager blamed us that because we parked our car in front of the RV on the grass, that's why it was muddy. We put a complaint on TripAdvisor and on the same day, the manager called us and tried to justify why this was this, that was that. If this is a strong business, they supposed to solve the problem by fixing the amenities instead of talking back and forth. Don't recommend this place. read more
