Richard and Candace are very helpful and nice, Wyatt is not. Upset every time I have contact with him, unfortunately he is the manager.

The Washington State Fair was going on and there wasn't an available RV park within 75 miles of Pierce and King county. We finally found one single opening at North Sound RV Park so we took it. We have been RVing for over 30 years and this was absolutely the worst park we have ever been in. We had to stay because it was the only one available. The spaces available were very small and unkept. We were told we had to maintain our own space. There were no pull through spaces and only a few spaces to accommodate big rigs. The only amenities available was a laundry room (at least it was clean) but you had to bring your own quarters as none were available in the office. Restroom and available showers were non existent. Our space was 2 feet from a fence and after a couple of weeks they put up 4X4s and bricks to hold the fence up. We had to climb over those boards the rest of our stay. Even though there was a huge parking lot we were not allowed to keep our tow vehicle on site. The majority of rigs in the park were full time renters. One guy was remodeling his RV on site and we had to listen saws and hammering for the time we were there. 30amp electric was available but the connection was old and the power was dirty. It was kinda expensive at $300 a week but we found out everything is expensive in King County. We camped at North Sound RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

When I visited, there were cyclists, roller skaters, people flying kites, numerous dog-walkers and even a pair out walking their pet goats!? Totally amazing atmosphere. On clear days, there are great views of Seattle and surrounding mountains. On lucky days, you can spot orca whales! Keep an eye out especially during the fall and winter, or if you're particularly committed, there are several social media groups dedicated to posting about whale sightings. You might just want to bring along a pair of binoculars whenever you visit...just in case. There's street parking that's a close stroll to the beach, and one public washroom that I could find.

It was sunny. And there was beach volleyball happening. Vendors setting up to sell fruit cups and horchatas and other crunchy treats. Alki Beach Park is a true beach destination! Public bathrooms, public showers to rinse off sand, and plenty of room to camp out if you want. I came to see the lowest tides on this day. In fact, Alki Beach Park was the first beach I frequented when I first moved to WA. Today's visit was truly magical though. The low tide revealed smaller pools and seaweed. Clambs squirted water out of their exposed holes. I saw a crow get squirted in the face! I am not a sunbather but if you are, this is your spot. I recommend NOT sunbathing, but you do you boo. I do recommend coming here. Great views of downtown Seattle too. Parking goes far along the waterfront. Loads of police were patrolling too. Be careful and enjoy nature! SYOY!

I'm here to review the things that actually matter during a hotel stay: * Bed size & comfort * Pillow game * Shower facilities * Towel game * Amenities that stand out Now then ... Jen and I sleep on a Queen bed at home, so every King-size hotel bed arrives with one simple promise: "This better be an upgrade." Thankfully, The Point Casino & Hotel delivers there. The pillow-top mattress absolutely carried its weight and made for a comfortable night's sleep. BUT. Why are we still doing square pillows in 2026? C'mon now, Point. Get it together. Decorative pillows are one thing, but these felt like geometry homework sitting on the bed. Now the shower game? Surprisingly strong. The rainfall-style shower was easily one of the standout features of the room. Ours even had the dual-head setup -- a standard shower head plus a lower horizontal shower head that can run simultaneously. It felt less like a hotel shower and more like I accidentally unlocked a spa side quest. Towel game? Respectable. Not luxury-resort fluffy, not sandpaper gym towels either. Solid middle-of-the-road performance. Amenities-wise, the room leaned modern: * Plenty of USB and power outlets exactly where you want them * Large TV * Comfortable lounge seating * Clean, updated feel throughout Now, for context, Jen and I were there for a grand total of 9.5 hours ... and roughly 8 of those were spent asleep. That means the hotel accomplished its primary mission successfully. One important note, however: this is an old-school casino that still offers both smoking and non-smoking areas. If you're sensitive or allergic to cigarette smoke, keep that in mind before booking. Unfortunately, my fiancée's allergies flared up pretty badly during our stay, so it's worth considering if smoke exposure is a concern for you. Final verdict: The Point Casino & Hotel understands comfort better than it understands pillow aesthetics. Strong shower game, solid bed comfort, modern amenities, and a room that did exactly what we needed it to do. Those square pillows, however, are committing hospitality crimes against sleep posture.
