Thunderboat has always treated us A1. Our boat had fairly extensive engine repair needed, they were on it immediately and were transparent about what needed to get done to get us back out on the water. Through hull LiveWell leaked overnight, they pumped it out and saved our boat and then sealed it. If I call they have our boat in the water promptly, never any issues. Fuel service is great and love having complimentary bags of ice for our fishing trips. I sell boats and recommend everyone in the area to give thunder boat a call. Great value. Great service. I was interested in keeping my 23 foot boat in dry storage so I called this place and confirmed the price over the phone for a 23 foot boat, my boat is listed as a 23 foot walk around . This place uses their own way of measuring boats and came up with a 32 foot measurement on a t 23 foot boat. Be careful and do not fall for this bait and switch tactic, the low price per foot is used to lure you in then they send out their "expert" with his tape measure and lay it on you . This is one is definitely The best location right off I-95 ... they have Hot showers clean bathrooms , they have plenty of docks with built in bumpers so I can leave my boat in the water for a few days in a row .... there's always free ICE... plenty of parking with a big gate ... the staff will fuel your boat up with just a simple request ... the staff and crew are friendly and helpful when you have questions about your boat or the weather .... and it's the BEST price in town read more

This would be 5 stars if they had more boats for rent. Get yourself a groupon, or Yelp check-in 30% discount (Thank you!) or a living social coupon etc. They have some different size boats and you have to be careful running around our beautiful South Florida waters especially at low tide. It will take you about 30 minutes to get to the Intercoastal and you'll see many a mega yacht along the way, pretty cool! Don't expect to flying full speed much as many no wake & Manatee zones. Still it's a beautiful ride. If you're into hitting the local food and watering holes and what Yelper wouldn't? Then heading north on the Intercoastal will give better and more choices to pull up to the dock and chow down. I'll be baaaaaaaack! read more

If you value your property, you will not store your boat here!!! I have stored my boat in the inside storage racks for approximately 10 years. Over that time, a few incidents have occurred such a scratches to the hull, vessel left outside for days, motor not flushed as promised. But those seem like trivial items compared to how incompetent and careless the marine staff truly is. I needed to have my vessel transferred to my trailer so I may have some work done offsite. I was told to bring my trailer on a specific day at a specific time... I arrived at that time and there was no forklift driver to move my boat to the trailer. I was told by the staff present, to just leave the trailer and they will gladly put my boat on the trailer and store it in the yard. I explained to them that I was leaving for vacation for two weeks, and I wanted to make sure everything was good. They told me that I didn't have to worry about anything. Well... I returned from vacation and was horrified at what I found (see photo). My boat was filled with water!!!! These morons put my boat on the trailer, installed the plug and then stored it in the yard!!!! As you can see it rained. When I finally was able to locate the manager (about an hour later) he had the nerve to tell me that it was MY fault. He also stated that they will do absolutely nothing to repair the major damage that they caused. To add insult to injury.... they have the nerve to continue to bill me for storage!! Your boat is safer stored on the side of the road rather than storing it here. Do yourself a favor and store your boat someplace else, anywhere else!!! read more

My experience with dry storage at this marina has been below average. Sales pitch is convincing but after some time it becomes apparent that facility just meets the minimum standards, wash racks and parking are scarce, launching area is exposed to dangerously strong currents, channel access is shallow on low tide, security is lacking and there have been thefts, mistreated staff doesn't show up for work leaving your boat stranded for days, customer service is very poor. The only positive is that it's relatively cheap but you get what you pay for applies here. read more

We have stored our boat for several years at this marina. All the people who work here are terrific from Don the manager to Donna in the office and Tulio on the dock. Their service has been excellent. We just call and our boat is ready for us. Their mechanic is top notch.They just put new docks in which are great. We had rented here twice both times we had no problems and had a great time we will be back again

total scam they told me to be careful with the boat because 80% of the people come back with damage on the boat. think about that 80%. we rented a boat for the day and slowly rode up and down the waterway because most is no wake and you cant go out to the ocean. really nothing to do. when we got back the guy lifting the boat out of the water says oh u hit something he was thirty feet away. we said no that was there when we got the boat. i asked to speak to the guy who initially checked the boat when we rented and conveniently he wanst there any more. so thats their trick run living social ads for cheap and then charge 80 % of people any where from 250 to 1000 dollars for damage to the boat. never again. read more

TAKE THE WATER TAXI!! Save yourself a lot of time, aggravation & MONEY - take the Water Taxi!! We had gotten a Living Social Deal back around Christmas time for $145.00 (first expense). We just realized recently that it expired on June 21st so I called a few weeks ago and booked it for June 20th. There were no weekends left available so my husband & I had to both take the day off of work (second expense). We stopped at the store on the way for drinks & snacks - $32.00 (third expense). We got there yesterday morning & we were put in our boat with very few instructions. We have rented boats before (mainly in the Keys which is a whole different ballgame). We had to idle out a waterway for over a half an hour to get to the intercoastal. To make a long story short, when I booked the boat, the woman on the phone gave me a list of things you COULDN'T do & warned me that a lot of people say it is boring - but I assured her that we like to sightsee and restaurant hop so it would be fine for us. WRONG!! It was a completely BORING day of idling (the areas you are allowed to go are mainly idling zones, avoiding stopping at restaurants because of the hassle of tying up the boat & getting our kids in and out which is not easy!! They told us about a sandbar & showed it to us on the map but we never found that. We started in early because we were all tired, bored and had to use the bathroom. When we were pulling back into the waterway where the marina was, a small fishing boat was coming out under the bridge so my husband went to the right to avoid hitting them. All of a sudden the boat hit something on the bottom so my husband immediately stopped the engine & we called the Marina. They came out to pull us to a safe area and when we got back, after we all RAN to the bathroom, we were informed that we had damaged the Prop & Skeg. So after we put fuel in the boat, paid for the damaged prop (which one of the workers informed us that it happens all of the time), that charge was $557.00 (fourth & final expense)!!!!!!!!! In summary, our total expenses for the day (not to mention the lost earnings at our jobs) were over $700.00!!!! All for a day of stress & boredom! We could have had a FUN WEEKEND in the Keys for that much money or had a stress free informative fun boat ride on the watertaxi for a fraction of that!!!!!! TAKE THE WATER TAXI!!!! read more

I previously used this marina for boat rentals (prior to owning a boat), then for storage and most recently for hurricane storage. The staff is incredible! I called at the last minute as Hurricane Irma was approaching and they couldn't be more helpful. The storage is completely enclosed and I was able to pick my boat up a few days later when everything settled down. If you're looking for storage, their prices are competitive and a great deal for all the amenities you get. I particularly liked that I could leave my boat in the water for a few days and the engine would be flushed when they pulled it out. One of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. Overpriced, they charge for every little thing. They kept charging me without asking for things that weren't occurring. I had to call several times to get refunded. Specifically they charge 50/day for you to have a mechanic out and your boat on a rack. I got charged extra days for that when my mechanic wasn't there. They charge $25 if you leave your Bimini top up. I was charged three times for that when it only occurred once, I had to fight to get the money back and I still have not received it, it was months ago. But even worse, they ripped cushions in my boat, the ignition to the boat got ripped out they had to fix it, they stained my boat and it took them three months to clean up that stain. They do not have many slips at al, l if you bring your boat back after five, you are constantly trying to find a slip to park in and often have to tie up to another boat. They take a lunch break between 12 and one and will not drop any boats in the water during that time it is very inconvenient. After they raised their rates I highly recommend going down the road to another marina versus this very small time, poorly run operation. read more

Thunderboat Marina is a complete scam--BEWARE! We rented one of their cheap boats for the day and had a horrible experience. The boats are in bad shape and beat up. We babied the boat as we were warned about rocks in the intra coastal. When we returned we were blamed for a minor bend in the propeller. The propellers are very cheap and not serviced--therefore are very easy to damage. They rent to inexperienced boaters for a reason...to try and scam them. The front desk secretary, Ashley, was defensive and completely rude when we pushed back on the $150 charge to fix the propeller. We asked if she could give us an estimate in writing from their maintenance department. She said she was the maintenance department and would type it up for us. She then changed her story and said she would need to send it out to be fixed. We called the Manager and he was no help either. We will NEVER rent from them again. What a shame and a huge disappointment. read more
