I came in last in my foursome of adults but had a great time as did the whole group. Played both courses and enjoyed both.

I've been coming here for many years, and it's always a fun experience--especially great for kids. Adults should be prepared to lose a few golf balls, as plenty end up in the water or hard-to-reach spots. The two 18-hole courses ("Caves" and "Waterfall") are both enjoyable and move along fairly quickly when the crowds are spread out. This mini golf spot has been a part of LBI history as long as I can recall in my 30 years of coming to the island. The location is great, it's right near fantasy island, the thundering surf water park, and bay village. There are two 18 hole courses at Settler's Mill - the "caves" course, and the "waterfall" course. It's great to have two course options here, it offers a challenge for people to come back and also helps keep the traffic of people moving on the course. Caves course looking busy? Play the waterfall course! The course itself doesn't rely on as many whimsical obstacles as some of the others on the island, but the sloping and curves were a fun enough challenge for us actual golfers trying to learn to read the green! After you finish your game, pick up an Italian ice in the lobby, or grab an ice cream around the corner to complete your perfect LBI night out! read more

This is the best mini-golf course I've ever been to! My group opted for the waterfall route and it was gorgeous. The falls were located throughout the course and made for a really pretty backdrop to our game. I liked that the course was on a little hill and we couldn't see the entire course from the start. It added a fun element of surprise. The cave course and the waterfall course were separate but laid out in the same area. You couldn't tell what hole went to what course until you got to your next hole. That was another cool surprising aspect. Fun, top 40 music set the background to our game. The course was also pretty challenging. Par 2 my tush. Maybe I'm not the best mini-golfer but I found a stroke 4 to be more common. Mini-golf courses seem to be a dime-a-dozen in LBI, but this one is worth checking out. read more

We tried to come here a few nights ago to play mini golf and it was just PACKED. I mean packed. There was a group of about 15 in front of us, and they were waiting for a group in front of them. We gave up and decided to come back another night instead. Tonight was much calmer, either we got there early enough to avoid the rush, or perhaps it was that it started to rain while we were playing that kept the masses away. The course is fun (hills, waterfalls, etc) and there's definitely some level of difficulty. Great thing to do to keep the kids busy, or if you are looking for something to do. read more

Settler's Mill is located in Bay Village, right next to the water park. It's probably my favorite mini golf place. They have two courses to choose from - the cave or waterfall course. I've only done the waterfall course, but both look fun. I'm not super familiar with mini golf pricing, but I'm told this place is a little more expensive than average ($11 for adults for 1 course). However, this location is much nicer and bigger than other mini golf places I've been to, so I think it's worth it. I've also never had a wait, which is often a problem in mini golf. This is a good mini golf place. My wife and I went with the Waterfall course. The landscaping is spectacular- you feel like you can get lost in the bridges and stepping stones, so many twists and turns, on what feels like a minigolf mountain. But some essentials were missing. None of the holes had a starting pad - you know, the official thing that has three divots to putt from. The holes were all about the same complexity, unlike most courses that get more intricate as you go along . And most shocking of all: on the last hole, your ball just disappears down a chute. No final long shot challenge where you have to make it into a moving clown's mouth to win a free game or anything like that. Isn't that against international minigolf regulations?!? Still a nice place and we will try the 'Cave Course' next time. read more

One of the more expensive mini golf courses down the shore and in LBI however there are two courses here (waterfall and cave) and the landscaping/layout are pretty awesome so it's worth the extra money in my opinion. As of the time of my writing an adult is $11/per person and children under 12 are $7.50/per person so it was $37 for us. American Express was not accepted. read more

It's mini-golf. Either you love it or you hate it! For a mini-golf place, this was as good as it gets. Although the courses were kinda bo-jenkity (my term, meaning old and kinda crappy-looking), they were challenging without being impossible, and there were multiple courses to choose from. We chose the "Waterfall," but seeing as it was such a hot day we might have been better off with the "Cave." Only 10 bucks, and you get to pick your own ball color! Neat. Been here a couple of times and always have fun. I like that they have the two course options, each with its own theme. I've only done the waterfall course, however I can tell just from looking that the cave course is also picturesque and fun. The price is fine, and it's a really good deal to do all 36 holes at once. I've never been where there was any issue waiting for the groups ahead of us to move either - and this is a common problem at these courses. Overall - fun way to spend an hour or so on LBI. I'm yelping as I'm playing the course. A shame you can't give zero stars. By far the worst mini golf place ever. Not worth the price. Find something better to do like watch paint dry. Bad enough I wasted my night playing this course, now I'm yelping about it. Not Tiger Woods there is nothing fun about this course. If you're not Tiger Woods, don't even bother coming here. This is probably one of the better mini-golf places that I have played on in Jersey. It is the best on the island. The course is little challenging, says the man that had to go back to the counter to get another ball after losing one in the water traps. We played the cave course and enjoyed it. I've been here twice, different summers, and enjoyed it both times. There are two different courses, and there are a lot of elevation changes. The course is one of the best you'll find anywhere in the area. There are a few more north on LBI, but this place is the best on LBI, in my opinion. Happens to be one of the better mini golf places on the island. It may be on the more expensive side, but it's well worth it because the course itself is beautiful and well maintained. The holes add enough of a challenge to be fun, and it's always a good time when I come with my big family (lots of little cousins). My one complaint would be that it is very popular and tends to be crowded, resulting in a wait time for holes if there is a backup. Junk. Expensive with impossible holes and lame features. $10.50 puts this at double other courses and there is not a quality to justify it. They take advantage of the location in one of the most trafficked areas of the island and rely on that to push a sub par course. We took the cave route and each hole is just a basic hole with some barrier or bump/hill. No skill shots or cool features Basically it's more like real golf, but I'm not at a mini golf course to three putt par. I recommend Flamingo, $5 and every hole can be a hole it one of you shoot it right, makes it more exciting seeing who can figure out the trick to the hole. Of course, this place is gonna stay since its part of fantasy island, but really not a good course for anyone not with a toddler read more

Took my money for mini golf for two and then closed the course for inclimate weather just after we picked out clubs. Staff refused to give a refund, only passes for a return trip that were issued to all who were on the course, which are difficult to use at a vacation destination. Very unsatisfied! read more

This place has run its course (pardon the pun), and is need of a major overhaul...or at least a major cleaning. The greens themselves are in okay shape ( but need a good vacuuming , but between the stagnant water (and the debris in it), along with the tattered plantings and the poor attempt of re-routing the courses to make room for the silly boutique and/or candy store (ugh!), you would do yourself a favor if you went to one of the smaller, but cleaner, courses on the island. read more
