First of all the photos turned out great, above and beyond what I expected, and it really shows that this is a professional job well done. Secondly, I just loved my photography session with her. She guided me through, talked to me throughout the session to make me look my best. She explained everything, how it works and why it works. She is a real professional, and clearly loves her job. Maria is amazing to work with from start to finish and I'm blown away by what she captured. The experience began with a preproduction meeting that most photographers do not offer and yet I'm now sold on its utter importance: a full hour (included in the price) to discuss in detail all your looks, needs, and goals. It made that actual sitting so much more relaxed and prepared, which had a huge impact on success and the ability to have fun. We did a total of 5 looks and there was a wealth of options to choose from in each set because there seriously wasn't a bad one in the lot. And I know I can't take credit for that, rather it's Maria's excellent lighting and connection behind the lens (as well as the above-mentioned preparation). I believe her background is in 35mm, and it shows because she really doesn't waste an exposure. She's also an actress, herself, so she has an intrinsic understanding of how to compel your inner essence forward, and her understanding of composition just knocks it out of the park with every exposure. Long overdue on this review (our wedding was in June haha), but wanted to share about our…read moreexperience with Nico. She is based out of LA but she actually does a ton of weddings and photography shoots up in SF/Bay area. Our wedding was in Carmel Valley and we were able to meet up with her beforehand since she was often in the area. Nico was recommended to me by another photographer and I just loved her photography style for our garden ceremony - it's very airy and bright. Nico herself is also a bright and cheerful person, she was great to work with and despite the craziness of the wedding day, she remained calm and pragmatic throughout the day. We received our processed photos (800+) about 2.5 months later, which I thought was pretty quick. Pictures turned out great! She is great with the candid photos, it was great to see pictures of family and friends having a good time. We printed the photos to send along with our thank you cards and people loved the pics - I wish I had more! She was also very responsive when I needed a photo touched up to print. I haven't done any extra large blown-up prints, but she uploaded 3 different sizes for various use cases. I think the only downside I noticed is that the black & white shots came out slightly grainy. Overall highly recommend!!
