"diverse" crowd so to speak, being that they have ciders, wines, and spiked seltzers all mingling with the normal beer guys; it definitely can add to the unique dynamic of the event. Also altering this event is the rather large area you're spread out in as well as the one and only real food vendor being Bobbique of Patchogue. All of the reps at these things are friendly and this one was no different, walk up and ask any and all questions you have and they'll be happy to talk to you about their product. I wasn't as much of a fan of the beers this year, though winning tickets took a whole lot of the pressure off to get everywhere as fast as possible. (also I was a bit hung over from the day before so take this with a grain of salt... like a Gose) The addition of the home-brewers at festivals is quite nice because they try some pretty out of the box recipes, yes they are usually a bit less carbonated and a bit less... well executed in my opinion but I appreciate them so much for their dedication to creativity and explorations. The VIP session affords you an extra hour to start before they open the gates to the masses, it also includes a meal voucher which saves you 10 bux, as well as certain exclusive beers not available to general admission ticket holders, plus how badass is it to roll up and skip those losers waiting on line? The events good to say hi to all my rock-star brewer and owner friends and family as well as my fellow drinkers, it's always fun trying new things and socializing a bit so I've got no major complaints about the day. I enjoyed getting to mix things up with Cider and wine and was stoked to get the opportunity to have some VIP barley wine over at Goose Island as well as a triple by... I forget who. All the local guys were in full swing and the freebies from certain breweries were a cool bonus. If you were nice enough and cool enough... and managed a bit of good timing there were goodies all over. If you're a negative-nancy, maybe you overlooked some of the fun and perks of the festival; noting all your complaints about the generally loved free-spirit that these things usually take on. All in all I'm glad I got to go thanks to Yelp and their promotional giveaway.

Although I've seen a lot of shows here, I think I stopped after a disastrous Morrissey show in the 90s. It wasn't Mozz's fault (but I have to wonder if everything else is). I just lived in the city and getting out to Jones Beach wasn't the easiest thing without a car. So I had no idea what I was missing out on, but my husband went to see Alice in Chains here 2 summers ago for the first and couldn't stop talking about how amazing this theater was. When he saw that one of my favorite bands, Muse, was on the schedule, he suggested we go when back in town and I knew my time to return had come. A core summer memory was made. It has to be the best arena show I've ever seen (I have seen very few, admittedly. I just... can't...) We sat up pretty high in the middle section and while the seats weren't cheap, they weren't insane either. We had a good view of the stage, especially the screens, the sound was amazing and as others mention, there's something pretty amazing about catching a show at the beach as the sun sets (not to get all sentimental, but it's true, it's true!) Also, general parking is, get this, FREE, baby, FREE! What the hell is free? I don't comprehend...

However, the one thing that I did always dream of was having a string quartet at my wedding. Maybe it was those two years of viola in middle school...or maybe it is just something about the culmination of the strings coming together that is just so beautiful... We found Luminous Sounds while at a bridal event after having gotten recently engaged in spring of 2015. After listening and meeting with them, we knew we had to have them play for our wedding. Kim was probably the best and easiest vendor we communicated with from the get-go. She made everything so EASY and was always there if we had any questions on anything. The music they play ranges from classical to upbeat, pop and contemporary. How many grooms can say they walked down to Taylor Swift's (hubby's secret guilty pleasure...shhhh) "Love Story"? They even learned a song for me to walk down to by one of my favorite all-time bands, The Decemberists (The Hazards of Love 4). For whatever reason, the excitement of the day, my dad walking me too fast down the aisle..I didn't get to really hear this song, but it's all okay. Even the photographer commented on how great they were and that they played Metallica while people got to their seats. All in all, the perfect background to our ceremony and the music tailored to our tastes and preferences. We couldn't be happier, and highly recommend Luminous Sounds string quartet - a superbly talented group of women.

This is a great place to bring your children, let them enjoy the sport and feel the experience of a live game without the rowdy alcohol infused environment of the Garden. No ridiculous traveling and parking in the city and no city prices. I was very fortunate to be invited to this event by Yelp and enjoyed the VIP lounge with food and drinks. The staff were 1000x more friendly and considerate. These are our neighbors folks. They work and live Long Island! There is not a single reason you can't come and enjoy a game. They have a few vendors here- mostly jewelry and women's boutique clothes and of course some commercial vendors trying to sell you new gutters LOL. They have a few rides...about 8 and every year 3/8 are made for us adults and that's it. Like why even bother lmao. The kicker however is that the bracelet is $25!!!!! What the hell? We never buy the wrist bands because of that. Otherwise they have music, a dance floor, food and a gambling tent which is fun.

Outstanding musicianship and vocals in a mix of traditional Holiday songs, Carols, Classical including Handel's Messiah, and sing-along. In addition, warm tone with true Christmas spirit. Two and a half hours of wonderful music. Do not miss this in 2018. Better get there before 2pm for the 3pm concert or you may not get in. Admission is free. Also, check the Nassau Pops web site for their other performances throughout the year, especially their outdoor summer concert series. Maestro Lou Petrullo is amazing in his musical leadership and in his crowd pleasing manner.
