The whole process was fast and straightforward. What I liked was that you pay after you have taken the final test. The price was fair too. Once you take the test, you receive an email shortly after saying that your records have been sent to the court electronically. They also have amazing customer support. I called with a couple of concerns that were addressed reassuringly. Tip: The final test is open but timed, so take that into consideration before you begin. Hey nobody wants to get a traffic ticket and I had a misfortune of getting one myself. Since it was my very first time getting a traffic ticket and it wasn't a serious violation, I had an option of going through traffic school and remove points from my driving record. I was a bit of skeptical about online traffic school like Ticket Toaster at first (honestly the website design looks somewhat shady), but I can assure you that Ticket Toaster is legit and not a scam. So about a month after I got pulled over, I finally received the official citation from my physical mailbox (you can't sign up for online traffic school until you get the citation number via snail mail). Signing up for an account is pretty easy and the website automatically tracks your progress. You only pay ($14.95 without the discount) after the final exam. Wow did this site make it easy! I was a bit nervous since this was my first time with online traffic school. I was comparing sites and after about 5 sites, I just settled with this one. Fresno seemed to be more expensive than other counties D= The FAQs were very helpful and listed everything they provided. And unlike this other site, didn't try to scare me into using them by saying that other sites will charge me extra for online filing. Which doesn't make sense, because that's better than a paper trail and SHOULD BE free...? Ticket Toaster didn't mention online filing, just that I'd get 2 certifs in the mail. So, I decided to take a chance, since the other place was $22 vs the $14 at Ticket Toaster. The questions aren't tricky and the quizzes and final exam aren't timed =) You're also able to take the test over and over again till you pass =) $13, I found a dollar off coupon code =))), and 4hrs later, I received an email that my case has been dismissed =))) It took me approximately 1.5hrs to complete the course and pay for everything. As an infrequent Yelper who takes most reviews with a grain of salt I must say Ticket Toaster deserves the rave reviews. I've done more than my share of traffic schools and this is the first one I would actually recommend to friends. Here are three things that made a big difference: 1. No hidden fees. The $1 discount is still available but more than that, what they say they charge is what they charge. Other schools I clicked on added five bucks here, another three there. They all ended up being nearly double the advertised rate. 2. You don't even pay until afterward. No up front charges or need to put in a credit card or other payment until you're done and you passed the final test. 3. They send you an email verifying they sent the proof of completion to the court. THEN they send another one verifying they checked that the court processed everything and the case is closed! No other Traffic School I know of does that. There are good, useful tips in other reviews and as of now (May 2020) they are still effective. While it's still not exactly fun going through Traffic School, at least this one does what they claim. That's rare enough these days. read more

So, haven't got a ticket for 25 years so really bummed when I did right before christmas....needed to go to traffic school, decided to Yelp and I found ticket toasters. I read the reviews and got some great input on the how to's. In 2 hours done with 100%, I guess if you get a ticket, this was the best way to get it off your record. I'm going to reiterate using some comments that were posted before I posted this, as well as add my own input in hopes it makes it easier for others who are about to take this. First, let me say that as of today the promo code LOVETT2018 still works. The price I paid was $13.95. Thanks, Nicole C.!! When you're signing up you're asked your citation number, courthouse, etc. so make sure you have all that information handy. You have to read 11 chapters and take a quiz for each then take your final exam, and pay last. At the end is when you use the promo code "LOVETT2013." Immediately after paying, the certificate is emailed to the courthouse. When you first start this quiz it asks a bunch of "security questions." The questions include personal things such as "What is the name of your favorite pet? How many siblings do you have? and What is your favorite sport?" Richard N. below suggests that you answer all these questions with a "1." Brilliant, cause it does save time. At the beginning of every quiz, you are asked one of your security questions and you have to make sure you answer it correctly. If all your answers are "1" it's easy to remember. The way I did this was I had a chapter open on my screen, copied it, went to my word document and typed which chapter it was, then pasted it. For those who need more specifics, see below: 1. While the chapter is open on your screen, highlight and select select "command + C" from your keyboard; 2. Go to your word document; 3. You can take breaks during this test by logging out (or automatically being logged out) and logging back in. I felt that I zoomed through this and it took me 2 1/2 hours, which I was kind of surprised about considering others took much less time. I'd definitely block a few hours for this because sometimes searching was not as easy as I thought like I mentioned above. I recently got my first traffic ticket EVER, boo. After speaking with my insurance company, they suggested that I go to traffic school to avoid having any points added to my record and to prevent my insurance premium from going up. There were a gajillion traffic schools on the website to choose from and I had no idea which to pick. Completed this course from start to finish within a few hours total. You can start and stop whenever you want. Can log in as many times as needed. Or you can finish in one sitting which is what I did. Straight to the point, easy to use website. Much less expensive then several other courses provided. They notify you once you pay (which you can pay at the very end when you pass) and also notify you once they electronically send your completion certificate to the designated courthouse. Final exam is cake, I actually had to call customer service with a question I had. Within a minute someone picked up, she was very helpful and polite which was awesome. I have nothing to compare this to. This is the first time I have taken traffic school since foooooorever.. Someone told me it is better to go in person, take a class and be done with it. Saying that online is harder and they try to trick you. Not this one. Simple to read. Straight forward. Sometimes you catch funny remarks in the content (I guess to make sure you are reading.) You are timed and a timer in the bottom makes sure are on the site reviewing. You also have to take quizzes after each section (again to check to see if you are reading) and you can't get to the next chapter until you finish taking the quiz of the previous chapter. Make sure you take notes on the quizzes. And if you don't pass, you can retake it as many times it needs to move on, including the final exam. $14.95 that you pay at the end... and they fax the certificate 8 hours after you finish. and i learned a few things. read more

If what you need is to just get through and online traffic class and to take the test and pass it on your own time, this class works. There is nothing that needs be said other than that there are some handy hints proffered by other reviewers that you should really follow, including printing out the quiz questions and the correct answers as you go. (You will pass the final test with ease, even if you take that final a week later. I got 100% and I took the final two weeks after I jammed the majority of the classes into three nights after work!) Update: the reason for my poor experience was not because of ticket toaster but because of the Ventura court house. For some reason they received my traffic school certificate but did not notify the DMV. Ticket toaster proved to me that they did what they were supposed to on their end and helped me to fix the problem even after they did their job. It was greatly appreciated! ---- Everything is easy and perfect until its nine months later and your insurance renewal goes up a whopping $250 ($500/yr) because this traffic school never submitted the certificate and you have points on your record...
