Wow, where to begin? Three floors of memories and treasures that you didn't know you needed, and if that isn't enough, there is an adjacent building that is also full. The building is a repurposed older home with plenty of windows. Every space is filled with well-displayed knick-knacks, dishes, decor, toys, jewelry, tools, records, smaller furniture items, seasonal items and just about anything else you might need. As for prices, some things were very reasonably priced while others seemed over-priced to me. This is a great place for one-of-a-kind season decor! They have a Facebook page on which they post interesting items that are for sale in the shop. It would take days to pilfer through all the material for sale at Tickled Pink in West Louisville but in all honesty it became a bit tedious and I found a fair amount of the 'vintage' knick/knacks rather over priced. To be honest, it is a three story house and adjacent one story building which doesn't actually qualify as a 'mall'. Things are well displayed and ordered; however, as I moved from room-to-room it felt like a was seeing the same items at every turn. If you have several hours to spend I guess it's worth a visit. It is a poke from Middletown though especially with traffic and interstate construction. read more

I have come to love malls like the Tickled Pink. This place is located in 2 buildings near Churchill Downs. They have a huge selection of items. From all time frames. The prices are excellent. Shopping at Tickled Pink continues to make me happy! When I visit I want to have at least 2 hours to browse the shelves on 3 floors plus a second building and garage. While there's not room for furniture, the owners have access to things for sale and are happy to hear about what you're looking for. The shop is primarily full of small items that someone else loved and things are priced so wonderfully that it's easy to purchase it if you love it too. I always find something when I visit, none of it expected. Support local and this wonderful couple that owns the shop! Finally I am able to go to this store when they are open. Today was my fourth attempt to go inside this ordered home converted into a antique Mall??? No antique store?? Well whatever it is, it's a great shop. There are three levels. All three levels are nice and roomy, full but not overwhelmingly crowded. Lots of Windows and natural light, so it's not that closed in like the last place. There are a lot of converted nooks and crannies, but they are all filled with bevvies of vintage beauties. I saw more and more at every turn, and more and more items that I wanted. If he took monopoly money, I would have broke the bank in this one. Seriously when I have an extra $100 or $200, I am going back AGAIN if I can catch it open that is. They are closed Friday and Saturday because they buy houses by lot, whole estates not individual pieces. Spoke with the owner, very nice man. They have a second building across the street. Honestly, I'm hesitant to even write a review on this place. It is such a gold mine of antiques, nick-nacks, collectibles, art, etc. that I almost don't want anyone else to know about it, so I can hoard all things for myself. Firstly - if you're looking to sell items, you've come to the wrong place. They don't buy. They get all of their items from estates and the like, per the gentleman working the counter. But they have everything. The guy said that most all items in the store are priced $9.99 and cheaper, and he was right. I'd say that 90%+ of everything there was under $10. I ended up walking out with a beautiful print by Joe Jones for $12.99. Super happy with it. Any new items they get, they put on their Facebook page. And they say that if it is a desirable item (ie. something that is very collectible), then it will fly off the shelf, so you need to get down there quickly. As well, the store is huge. They have 3 whole floors of a huge house (basement, ground floor, 2nd floor), and they have another 1 level house. Humongous. And loaded with items. You could genuinely spend 8 hours in this place and not see everything. If you like flea markets and yard sales, you need to get to Tickled Pink yesterday. You're welcome in advance. read more

We have been coming here for years. The owners are hard working people who always charge reasonable prices for their merchandise. They are also the nicest folks you could ever meet. Over the years we have found treasures for our home and great finds for our garden in their "rough room". You will find that many retail vendors shop there for merchandise for their shops. Great antique mall near Churchill Downs. Everything is priced to move, which is not very common for antique stores. They have tons of knick knacks and potential gift items within 3 floors of their main building at 3269, which has been selling antiques for 32 yrs. They also have a garage in the rear, selling mostly furniture and larger items. They purchased the adjacent business next door a few years ago, where they have additional glassware, kitchenware and some toys. As they will likely tell you when they walk in, it's hard not to find at least one item you like. I picked up a small vintage McCoy bowl bargain priced for only $4.....and had to pass on an even better deal cause it was simply too large to take back on the plane with me. read more

I finally broke down and tried this little shop, after hearing great things about it. I expected mostly junk at first, till I checked their Facebook page, then I was intrigued. Once you walk in you are greeted and treated like one of the family, it's like you've been going there for years. Then, if you're at all like me, your head will be turning left and right constantly making sure not to miss a single thing. Seriously, it's packed with nearly anything you can imagine and they keep it stocked completely on a weekly basis. Oh, did I mention they have 2 floors, plus the basement, if that gives you an idea of the size. Plus, they have a small garage in the back, also kept stocked with old but decent furniture goodies, all for very cheap prices and I kid you not when I say cheap. Thus far, I've bought a file cabinet for $6, in real nice condition, they usually go for $60-$80 elsewhere(believe me, I checked), a nice little table and small double shelf both less than $10. This isn't counting little extra items. Plus I found an 18" Michael Myers Halloween figure that makes sounds, usually sells for $199 unopened. If you are a collector like myself, love antiques or after some old used but quite nice tables, chairs etc. Then, you must visit at least once, to see the value of the place. Tickled Pink is where the other antique malls shop. I've seen many exact items that started here go for two to three times at other antique malls. TP has a great inventory that turns over fast, so if you want something listed on their Facebook page (which is updated regularly and worth your time if you have even a passing interest), you'd better go and get it at your earliest opportunity. The rough room garage is a great place to check if you don't mind rejuvenating something to its original lustre or your particular needs. Honestly, we've gotten a lot of great stuff here. There are so many hidden treasures and bargains at this place, I almost don't want to review it because the word will get out. So, this place is a mishmash of all sorts of good stuff...A lot of folks who have space in antique booths / shops in other areas stock here because of the great prices. Tickled Pink is closed for stocking most Fridays and Saturdays, opening on Sunday when they've turned over at least 80% of their stock. Sundays give a chance for vendor buyers to buy low and sell high on great stuff, though separate sellers restock throughout the week. Really, they do. The turnover in this place is unbelievable. The owner and the folks he gives space to are good people. While I don't want to be dismissive of others, the reviewer who was all cranky pants about being told - via a phone call searching for an unnamed item - the equivalent of "we get those a lot - check our Facebook!" needs to understand that this place is the equivalent of a very high quality Peddler's Mall. NO ONE knows the inventory at any instant (across all of the vendors, as well as moment-to-moment, when items tend to migrate). What is there, is there. And it may have been moved five to ten times since it was originally placed in a display. And since you're likely to pay a quarter of what your purchase would cost at frou-frou antique shops...STFD; STFU. Really. No one appreciates a precious, precious snowflake acting like an entitled ninny. For those interested in a visit: Two pointers: there is no negotiating. Just because the prices aren't higher doesn't mean that they don't know what things are worth. Be assured, they do. The focus at TP is on quick sales...and they're very, very successful. So, when you ask for a price cut, it's fairly insulting to folks who know that they're already giving a lot on prices. The other pointer? Never let the owner hear you use the word 'Junk.' I adore this place! I intended to just pop in and pick up a pair of opera glasses they had listed on their Facebook page (for a steal at $9.99). I ended up wandering the store in a daze thinking that I must be dreaming. This place is jam packed with amazing vintage and kitsch goodies that are dying to find a place in my home. I mean JAM packed. I had no idea where to look! The house the store is in is a large home with hidden rooms. They are all full! From the basement to the second floor. One item they seem to specialize in is salt and pepper shakers and boy are they CUTE! I am semi-inspired to start my own collection of them which will end up like all of my other collections where I buy about 4 of something then give up. Regardless, I have never seen such cool salt and pepper shakers. After getting over my initial shock of all the goodies, I started to brace myself for sticker shock. This is the type of store you would generally see in the Highlands that charges an arm and a leg for anything! Tickled Pink has GREAT prices. Great condition vintage items, I come here for gifts for both sides of the family and pick out the strange for my own collection. Yes they have trinkets galore! But what you wouldn't have guessed: a beetle juice mask, 1970's doll hair tissue and powder box, snake skins, animal skulls, pee-wee dolls, creepy clowns, burlesque items, are just a few interesting items that keep me coming in. My favorite new shop to browse while in Louisville. My sister and I ventured in a couple of weeks ago - our first time visiting. Wow - great selection of items, well organized, clean, and friendliest owners to boot! My sister and I have different styles of decorating/collecting, but we were both able to find items that we wanted - the prices are wonderful. This place is fantastic. It's an old house turned thrift store and it is packed with stuff, it's amazing. Even the basement is filled with old books and cool cameras. If your the local fire-chief you might feel a little unsafe being surrounded by loads of flammable items, but they have plenty of emergency exits! My one complaint is that the floor creaks really loud at some areas so it sounds kinda spooky at times, but that's all part of the experience! read more

I've been here on business for three months and looked all over for quality antique stores that aren't over priced and this is definitely the best place I've been to. This is a fun little vintage/antique store consisting of mostly housewares, furniture, and relics from the recent past. There are multiple vendors. The items are contained within two houses located next door to each other. I would give the customer service 5-stars. Very nice people. Prices are reasonable for most things. I noted they have many cookie jars. Each cookie jar is $35, which I thought was a little pricey. Oh well! If you enjoy looking at vintage or antique things, put this place on your short list when in Louisville. read more

Tickled Pink Mall is sensory overload. There is so many little trinkets and whatnots squeezed in every nook and cranny! The prices are amazing if you need to decorate on a budget then check out the garage, there are pieces in here that would make great projects. Across the street they have opened another store that has more furniture in it, again great prices. The only thing that bums me out is that in the new store they have a ton of reproduced depression glass :( I guess if you are buying for looks that is okay, but I would rather have the real deal. Called looking for an item, and all the guy said on the phone was to follow them on Facebook. Said they get them in and are sold the first two minutes they have them. Then he said to follow us on Facebook again and hung up on me. I really don't appreciate that in the least. Not a great way to encourage people to come in. This place falls somewhere between a yard sale and an antique mall... but somehow better in every way. This family owned shop is neat, clean, and organized. This paradise is in a large, old home and every inch of it is used--the basement and the 1st & 2nd floors. The wife and I go here once or twice a month. We never leave empty handed or with an empty wallet. Unlike most thrift shops the prices are insanely cheap and I can never get through the building without finding something I want. I usually don't need it but damn it I want it.
