While in town for a class reunion, I had some time to kill and stumbled upon the Middletown Peddlers Mall. Entering, I thought at most it was good for a half hour. After walking down the first aisle and looking to see all the other rooms and aisles, I was gob smacked. Wow, wow, and wow. The place is huge. The rows and rows of booths have all sorts of things that you may never have known that you needed. There are multiple aisles and rooms loaded with items. There are antiques, crafts, furniture, clothing, food items, jewelry, wall art, toys, tools, memorabilia, and more. Remember that half hour? Nah, didn't happen. I ended up spending an hour and a half browsing. It was great fun. read more

Holy moly is this the place to be on a rainy weekend. My best friend and I recently visited, and the parking lot was packed. And the inside of the Middletown Peddlers Mall? Packed as well, with all manner of knickknacks, antiques and weird odds and ends. I wouldn't go looking for one thing in particular. It's likely better if you go to have fun browsing, and then any great finds are the cherries on top. MPM is a bit of a maze, so it seems like you want to block out at least an hour to peruse. We saw furniture, toys, books, clothes, housewares, records, jewelry and more, dating back to several time periods and decades. I ended up buying sheet music for jazz tunes that mention "Kentucky" and "Louisville" in the titles that I plan to frame at some point. The prices on most items seemed reasonable, but it can vary booth to booth. If you fancy yourself an antique lover, bargain hunter or just like looking at weird and beautiful things, this is a place to check out. read more

I like popping in here at the Middletown location just to see what's new. It's fun to walk the aisles and find something you did ( or didn't ) know you needed! There are tons of booths and everyone prices their wares differently but you can find good deals. Good value for the most part. Today I found an item I was interested in that sadly had no price, so I took it to the front desk and they were very helpful and called the owner of that booth, but had to leave a voicemail. Unfortunately I had to leave before they got an answer, but they took my name and number and called about 5 minutes after I left. I couldn't return but so appreciated their help! It's fun to walk around here, but also it feels dated and cluttered sometimes. Plan to spend time to enjoy looking at everything if this is your cup of tea!! read more

This company is regional franchise in the midwest is like Goodwill on steroids. This location is like a mini mall that you can't see it all in a day. This place has several booth where all things are marked with what it is and what it cost. The sellers are no where to be found most of the time. This place sells everything under the sun. Cloths, furniture, paintings, jewelry, home decorations, tools, and more. Everything is second hand and some are antiques. It is like going back in time in a Time Machine. I got real excited finding things I hadn't thought of in a long time. I found old 45 records that took me back to my childhood. This year I will a record player. Checking out their website it stated if you wanted to sell things, booth rentals are $140 with a 8 percent commission to the store on every item sold. So in the future I may give this a try. In the meantime I have been here for three weekends in a row and will keep coming back. read more

I love junk. I really, really love going to a Peddler's Mall on a cold day to walk around and look at your junk and wonder, "why did someone even buy this new in the first place?" "What the heck is this?" and, "How do I fit this in my Subaru?" This is the fanciest Peddler's Mall I've been to and it is the one I can't wait to go back to. They had nice antiques, things in good condition, and enough questionable things to keep it interesting. I'm not sure those photos were autographed by Carrie Fisher but someone autographed them. The Middletown Peddlers Mall is one of the largest (if not the largest) peddlers shopping area in Louisville. It will take you 2-3 visits before you see the majority of its offerings. The booth rental space is hard to come by, with people on a long waitlist. The peddlers mall is a combination of new and antique items. Some vendors offer jewelry, used clothing and shoes, or alterations. Most of the items, even new, have an older, farmhouse feel to them. I wish there was more variety to keep me coming back. A couple times during the year, people rent outdoor space for a 1 day sale. These have a yardsale vibe and better prices. read more

This store is MASSIVE! It doesn't look like it is big from the outside, but this place is like the TARDIS. It just keeps going, full of fun, interesting, vintage, antique, and different things. It has toys, furniture, etc...it is stock full of treasures. It will take days to look through everything. It even had some fun vintage age candies. My favorite treasure there was a 1950s toddler push car that was in excellent shape. read more

I love going to these places! This one has lots of good quality old classic products of all kinds. Some booths seem a little on the high priced side, but if it's something that I really want, or it catches my eye then I'm not above paying a decent price for it. I would recommend taking a stroll through as you never know what you might find. It's much larger inside then it appears from the outside. read more

We always hit up some antique stores when on a road trip. This one was FULL of all kinds of things and oh the stories those things could surely tell. We scored some smaller items and have already put them to use. Prices are fair...some not so much. Staff was patient and helpful. They'll want you out at closing time so be sure to wrap it up in time to check out and be on your way. read more

I went here today hoping to find a new coffee table and end tables, something a bit retro that might need a little TLC to bring it back to life. What I found instead, on the price of 90% of the things I looked at, were prices that were COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS & OUT OF THIS WORLD!! These are old things that no one wanted anymore. Items from a garage or an old house where a relative died etc. etc. No one I know is going to be stupid enough to pay the prices that people are asking for these items. They are not in high demand. The grocery stores and the gas stations are already ripping us off. Why would anyone pay the prices that are being asked here?! If you do, you're stupid. read more

OMFG... I think I died and went to Antique Heaven today... this place is immense! Just when I thought I was done, I'd find ANOTHER room... I swear it goes on for miles! Clothes, Shoes, Handbags, Furniture, Toys, Games, Artwork, Crafts, Antiques, and Collectables of every kind imaginable! Plan on having a few HOURS to browse... seriously! They even had a seamstress doing alterations at the front of the store! It was great to find things that I've held on to (or sold) from the past and see what folks think they might be worth. It was also amazing to find things from my childhood! I actually ran across something that reminded me of some glasses we collected when I was a kid, and I wondered if I'd stumble across them somewhere.. low and behold, not more than 10 minutes later, I found them! Are you a Golfer? I found whole booths dedicated to the sport! U of L fan? One booth was so red and full of Cardinals I thought I'd go blind! Do you collect those little Ceramic Christmas Houses?... They have loads of them, stocked on shelves up to the ceiling! You name it, I probably stumbled upon it today... they have everything AND the kitchen sink... no, really! This store looks so small from the parking lot. Once inside it is so very easy to get lost We had a great time walking around checking out the store. We found many great finds and remember when items. Very surprised at most of the prices. We ended up buying a muffin pan only. You are sure to find something for everyone here. read more

"We reserved the right to search...." "You break it, you bought it". Theres a reason you don't see these policies anywhere else, well at least since 1985. Its just bad business. It shows a complete lack of understanding of customer service and retail trade. There is not a single item in the store thats worth running off repeat business. Even suggesting a customer pay for something they broke is obtuse. The entire world understands that with the exception of this place. I have spent at least $5,000 in these Louisville stores over the past two years. Won't be spending another red cent. I have had flea market booths in the past and have done quite well. Every week I found at least one item broken and one item stolen. Its a cost of doing business. You have a REAL business, its not a yard sale, and its not your living room curio cabinet. If I talked to a customer, or treated a customer the way my brother was treated today I would fully expect the mall to kick me out. The owner of this place needs to find real businessman and ask for some help and the vendor that ran off thousands in business needs booted from every location. If $2 ashtrays are making or breaking him he probably needs to find another hobby anyway. read more

I was here for a very specific piece of furniture and everything that fit the bill was already sold or a little over my budget, so I left empty handed. BUT there were plenty of things I could afford and would have liked to buy had I not been on this particular mission. (Until I solve my TV table problem, I'm not allowed to buy anything else.) And there was a lot to look at as far as furniture goes. The only real con For me was the carts. They offer jumbo size shopping carts and the aisles just aren't that big. My perturbation may have been maximized by shopping at the end of a long holiday weekend when, it seemed to me, the place was lousy with bored husbands in charge of the things and not really paying attention to where they were directing them. I stopped in here to look for one particular item and ended up browsing for 2 hours! I definitely took a trip down memory lane, seeing many things that I recall from my grandparents house and my youth! While there are not as many true antiques as I would have expected, the things that are not antique are fun to look at too. I think this place falls into the category of an indoor yard sale. I found most items to be highly overpriced for their actual value, as if the seller wanted the buyer to believe an item was older than it actually was or had some real value. As other reviewers have mentioned, the carpet has long since seen its day, as have many areas of the ceiling and walls. While I enjoyed it this once, it is not the type of place I would return to often. I did buy one small item and checking out took forever. One worker kept talking to the person she was checking out long after being finished with the sale and another was standing away from her register talking with a friend who had stopped by. Example : small wooden box/ unmarked $65 ( perhaps it belong to Michael Jackson , it was his favorite wooden box), older beer can Dos Equis- $10.00, brand new - vintage looking coca cola sign ( made in China ) $55 etc etc ....A lot of "vintage looking" replicas, pretend to be rustic/primitive items. I popped in for the first time today. Lots of stuff of all kinds from candy to saddles to junq. I certainly wasn't impressed, I thought many items were over priced. And the carpet - Yuk - so filthy, made me want to wash the bottom of my shoes when I left. I doubt I will be back. There are better options out there for "junkin" and "thriftting". It is just not a welcoming place, at least it didn't stink. read more

Well, it certainly is big, and probably has the best selection (and is the neatest, cleanest) of any of the other peddler malls in the area. However stuff is REALLY expensive. And I mean, here is how it goes down as you make your way through the store. 1st item - shock and wide eyes 2nd item - an audible "ha!" and an eye roll 3rd through 103rd - numbing sadness and dead eyes I mean, if they are getting people to pay these prices, then sweet, more power to them, but no way am I paying $200 for a nightstand that is broken and has missing hardware or $175 for a tiny mirror. Oh and all of the best stuff is marked "firm" so I'm guessing they know they are 2 to 3 times over a normal price and they kept getting "low" offers about it. Meh to this place. read more

Unethical and lying employees. You can buy what you like, but avoid trusting the people behind the counter. They are liars. Had a horrible experience with them, just recently, which revealed their utter lack of ethics and the level of deceit they will rise to to steal from customers for their own gain. Also, there is no recourse: There is no access to upper management; The head office is a PO box, and whatever number is listed on their site goes to an answering machine with no reply ever. read more

Fun! So if you're new to town or just never stopped to check out one of the Peddler's Malls you should. It's booths with collectibles and "antiques" from different vendors. The Middletown location is good sized--maybe in an old grocery store. There is a wide range of prices and wares from really nice antique furniture, rehabbed and painted cottage signs and primitive-style pieces, dishes, jewelry, and every kind of collectable you can imagine. There's new and vintage clothes and purses, too. read more

RUDE! My first time and last time here!! I WAS excited before I walked in and was told that I could either leave my purse up front where two little girls on their phone the whole time "could" watch it or I could take it out to my car "where I might as well be asking for someone to break into my car and steal it".... Way to profile someone! Just because I looked like a young kid?... ‍ I didn't appreciate that at all. Also it was so hot in there I was sweating through my T-shirt. I guess their air was broken or they are too cheap to turn it on for their customers. All they had were some floor fans moving around hot air. Plus try wearing a mask breathing in hot air!! The entire experience was awful. I couldn't find anything worth buying. It was just a bunch of way over priced yard sale stuff anyways... Needless to say, I won't be back.... read more

OMG! This is a bargain hunters dream. Sure some stuff is junk some is over priced some is just right. My partner and I come to Louisville from Pittsburgh twice a year and this is always on the to do list. We spend at least three hours here. It's fun walking down memory lane at some booths. Some stalls are kept nicer than others but I think if you can't find it here it doesn't exist. We love this place and always come home with something! read more

This is the peddler's mart at which to buy furniture. Overall, all they have some very nice (albeit overpriced) pieces here and the vendors make a genuine effort to make their stalls attractive by arranging the furniture naturalistically. In general, I found this location to be less cluttered than others and to be more enjoyable to browse. I found a deco walnut bookcase with glass doors, a wooden folding kitchen cart, and a chest of drawers for the bedroom. On the way out I also snagged some awesome handmade ceramic coffee mugs for a 1.50 each that I'm sure would go for a lot more on Etsy. They also have a display case for small items such as pocket knives, watches and sunglasses. For those of you into old timey shaving I noticed they had several vintage straight razors with what looked to be bone or faux ivory scales. You could shave like it was 1899 with one of those! read more

On my really, really slow days off work, I'll go browse this figurative gold mine of cool stuff. Quite a bit of the items in my apartment have come from here, including a $1,300 armchair that I scooped up for $75. Deals can and will be had here. If you or your S.O. finds some trendy hipster crap on Etsy of Pinterest, chances are there's a similar or identical item out in this sea of vendors at this location. The staff is pretty cool, and even the old ladies are polite which usually isn't the case when they see me walk in (I guess I look like trouble, it must be the tattoos.) I've scored vintage cigar boxes as a catch-all for my bar for $3, a handful of fruit baskets to store clothes at $5 each, for sale on Etsy at $35 a piece, and a neat photo of an old ship for $10, I'm not sure of the actual value but I'm assuming it's worth way more since that's the trend with this place! I keep coming back as long as I want to keep finding neat stuff. read more

Very large flea market. Some nice stuff and many cluttered yard sale booths. Folks are not friendly at counter according to my wife. The Dirties carpet in the world. You have to go there if for no other reason to see the most filthiest carpet that appears to be rotting. I felt like I needed to wipe my feet before exiting the store so I would not track dirt into the parking lot. read more
