They did everything to evade you from coming into the office except bringing in the earnest check. Everything was done online so I felt that it was strange that they needed a physical check, and couldn't take payment online. The only other option was a wire which required a fee. Everything else document wise was done via email. They were even willing to come out and meet you for the closing signature but for some reason, not the earnest money. Overall I felt that my experience was impersonable, completely unlike another home buying experience I had elsewhere. read more

I am a realestate investor that used this company for a transaction that almost got the funds call back by the lender. Tracie was supposed to have sent over documents to our lender and was unresponsive in her emails. according to the lender he emailed her quite a few times with no response. it came down to the last day and she finally sent the email she was supposed to have sent on day 1. when she sent the email, she sent it to the wrong person. we were already in the renovation stage of the property and were stunned by the lender requesting for us to wire their money back immediately. this all turned in to a very stressful situation. if you are thinking about using this company, do some research before you pull the trigger. read more

It is my understanding that a title company would protect a property purchaser from two things. 1. to ensure that there are no legal issues with the lot being purchased 2. to ensure that the lot is in fact legal I purchased a property, and Ticor Title took my money, and reported that there are no issues with my property. 10 years later, I found out that there was a water drainage issue, and the the King County Department of Environmental services was about to put a lien on my property for a complaint that was issued more than 10 years before I purchased the property! Ticor Title told me via legalese that I was on my own, and I had to pay a FORTUNE to correct the issues out of my own pocket. More recently, I discovered that my lot wasn't ever even legally recorded when a subdivision occurred (again, before I owned the property)! Ticor's response to my lawyer, was that even though the lot is 'illegal', that it's still marketable, and they would not help to correct the issues! So, now I'm paying a lawyer to help the situation, as King County will not permit me for putting in a driveway. In my experience, I would have better off burning my money, instead of paying Ticor. My experience was TERRIBLE. I would NOT recommend this company read more

Not too much to say other than when Steve and I came here to do the final paperwork there was a notary and our realtor that was going to be present during the signing. Ticor had a room all reserved for us to go over the paperwork which was performed with great efficiency. We didn't interact with the staff too much as the other two representatives kind of directed us most of the way through the process. The notary did more interaction with the staff and didn't seem too terribly frustrated working with them in the back so all in all it was a very smooth experience. read more

They are continually making errors on the purchase and sale contract payments and then not wanting to take responsibility. My example is there was a home warranty to be paid by seller they blatantly ignored it. They ignore the invoice it was sent by three different people and then when called out on it they said oh we didn't get an invoice so we don't have to pay it. Contracts are contracts!!! when you agree to oversee a contract you agree to follow the contract to the letter. They don't do this and they don't care. read more

Recently closed a condo and the seller requested Ticor. Ticor asked for extra money for same day signing when we are signing the next day. They messed up some paperwork and we have to go back and sign again. After the condo is closed, I found out the previous owner owed electricity bill. That's something the Title company should make sure, and of course they did not. Lots of phone calls and nothing happen.....Horrible just horrible service! Avoid this company if you can. Btw, I am not a first time home buyer, I have worked with multiple Title companies in the past 7 years and Ticor is the worth. read more

What should have been a very straight forward sale turned into a huge mess. Two parcels were purchased and the legal description was written incorrectly for the sale so the county didn't recognize the purchase of one parcel. When I realized there was a problem, it took 3 months to fix. This office passed the buck multiple times. Lots of apologies, that it wasn't in their skill set to fix the problem, they needed an expert, the person who handles these issues isn't in the office today but then never returned my multiple phone calls. You name it the excuse and I got it. It wasn't until the Pierce County Assessor got involved did they know of the right "Mr. Fixit" at Ticor to bring the case to. He was extremely apologetic. But even he had the record fixed but then neglected to inform the Assessor they could process it! Even his boss in Gig Harbor couldn't seem to dial my phone number even just to apologize for the massive incompetence spread over the University Place, Everett, Puyallup and now, Gig Harbor offices. This was extremely time consuming, stressful, and completely unnecessary if the first person who dealt with my account in the first place could have just been responsible, fixed the error and done right by the customer who had already paid them for their services. Passing the buck is not ok. Ignoring phone calls is not ok. Sending email messages to my husband saying how upset I was but then not addressing the problem head on is cowardly. Do your job Ticor! I will never use or recommend your company EVER AGAIN. read more

Tia Lumsden is the sharpest, sincerest and quickest responsive account manager I've worked with in a long time. As listing broker on a stand alone home on condominium land, I was informed by email from the lender that a qualified buyer's loan was being denied because the condominium did not have a VA approved ID number. This notification came after home inspection, appraisal and moving arrangements were in process, Even Morris Management Inc. the firm hired and paid $275 to provide the necessary information on the Resale Certificate emailed me to say they did not have the number. I called Tia and expressed the concern and she patiently explained that she would do what she could to help. Ten minutes and she found the number called me and emailed me the correct information with where and how she found the number.
