Car wash was fine but didn't enjoy the Long con of being straight up LIED to and conned into a membership. I've gone here on on a couple occasions and the last time I went the guy asked if he could give me his "membership spiel so he wouldn't get in trouble with management" And of course, I said that's fine I had already picked my car wash, so he gave me the membership spiel proceeded by saying for the same price that you're gonna pay for the single membership. You can get the rest of the 30 days for free with no commitment to a membership. So I asked him TWO clarifying questions, first being, so after the 30 days, it won't auto renew and charge my card ? To which he replied "no, it won't". My second question just to double verify was, if I come back through in the next 30 days does that trigger the membership to auto renew? Which he said no it won't, you have to go on make your account, and THEN set up your membership to auto renewal if you want to do that. Seems pretty clear to me... Except to my surprise 30 days later, my membership auto renewed And when I called tidal wave about it and mentioned this whole interaction, they told me "sorry we don't refund for non-usage of a membership" well if I had known I had a membership I would've used it... Car wash itself worked great; the attendant checking you in left something to be desired. I pulled up, put my card into the reader and touched the touch screen. After a minute, the attendant comes out and says, "I guess you missed the part about waiting for the attendant ". Fair enough...I guess I missed that. After deciding on the basic wash, and inserting my card into his had reader, he says, "You missed the most important part, being able to read". Guy was very condescending. I should have went with my gut and left after the first remark. There are plenty of car wash options in Rapid City...personally, I'll go somewhere else next time. Not sure why you have a touch screen and card reader at the entrance if you're not allowed to use it. read more

Wowzers! Bought one of the least expensive washes and the guy who directed us in, stopped us and literally cleaned off the grill before we even got into the wash. The most thorough wash primer ever! Outstanding. It was above and beyond the service I expected. read more

This is a horrible business model. We went to get a car wash and the supposedly manager(Travis) would not allow us to get a car wash unless we listened to the details of their club. We told him repeatedly we were not from the area and only wanted a wash. He kept saying are you going to let me do my job. Well his job lost them a car wash. This is how they treat Thierry customers If you are visiting Rapid City stay completely away from this car wash. We will find another car wash who will appreciate our money. read more

EXCELLENT! Exceeded all expectations with -friendly service -exterior wash with every feature under the sun -free vacuums of course -they even provide spray and microfiber cloths next to the vacuums so that you can touch up and dry as you please --I've never seen this at a car wash! Very nice! They also hooked me up with a fantastic promotion that gave me the unlimited club pass for only $10 the first month (instead of usual $42 rate). It made my day! Get it while you still can! We were travelling from out of state and had SO many bugs on our car after going back and forth to all of the National/State parks. We bought the cheapest wash because we didn't want to wax it and glue the bugs to the car more. Didn't realize that they would spray the car and scrub the bugs off before going through the wash! Those guys worked hard to clean our car! Kudos! We literally could not believe they got them off!! read more

Told me my car was too muddy and they would get in trouble if they let me purchase a wash. The guy apologized and I'm not upset, just seems like a car wash should be able to wash a muddy vehicle. Went to another place and was happy to pay an additional $10 for the mud removal and the total was still cheaper then what I would have paid at Tidal Wave. read more

Travis was such a big help with supplying me with everything I needed to get my brother's car clean, inside and out. Vacuum was powerful, supplied towels were clean and there were plenty of spray cleaners to use. read more

My car went into Todal Wave Auto Spa after a road trip from Texas to South Dakota. Dirty, is an understatement. I got the most expensive wash and was surprised by how clean my car was able to get! I was able to vacuum the inside of my car after the wash. They also had microfiber towels I used to clean the couple spots the wash missed. All in all great experience will come back! read more

Wash was a solid value. I had just driven through 4 or 5 states at highway speeds, been through the Badlands and the Black Hills at like 90F. The front of my car looked like a crispy Jackson Pollock made of bugs. Two guys busted out hand scrubbers and pressure washers before I even entered the wash. These guys went hard into the grill, mirrors, bumper, and windshield. End result was amazingly clean. read more

This place is a total scam. They purposely don't have cash loaded into the machine, and then make it very inconvenient if you really do want your change. I owed 21.30 for my wash and gave the attendant 22 cash. After he deposits my money, he gives me the same speech he gave to the person ahead of me, and the person ahead of them. "The machine is out of money, if after the wash you still want your change you can ask for it at the office." The two people ahead of me declined, and decided to not hunt down their money. They are SCAMMING people!! .50 to a few dollars every cash customer. I make sure I tell EVERYONE I know NOT to go to this place. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM read more

This place is awesome. We were from our in of town. There were still a few bugs on the car from our cross country trip that didn't come off in the wash so Travis came out and cleaned it by hand for us. Staff is wonderful. Car looks great. read more

Loved this place. The staff member was very diligent doing the initial cleaning and when I rolled out of the car wash my F250 was CLEAN. I love these places that provide microfiber towels to give a really nice finished look. Excellent!!!!! read more

Wow, this place is fantastic. Wish they were in Arizona. My car was disgusting after coming down from Canada- no problem for them!

Attendants were courteous and helpful. Car # 837 on 1:33 PM, Shift 1, 08/10/2021 - Dry N' Shine. Primary attendant who applied soap to grill, windows and was thorough. As my auto proceeded through the car wash, the passenger side brushes (right side) did not touch the automobile surface (driver's side OK). Road grime remained after rinse and air cry. Attendant was not paying attention and allowed car wash discrepancy to continue. Cleaned those areas myself by hand. Not interested in training High School students in the proper operation of their own equipment. And not interested in a second run through for free. read more
