And Terresa I felt heard, welcomed, and reassured that the staff on site at Tides Edge Detox (first 30 days) followed by Beaches Recovery (PHP) (day 31 to typically day 90 or 120 totally based on the individual) had the resources and expertise to enable smooth, medically assisted detox, followed by a five star level of treatment, that would allow me to get back on my feet living healthy, happy, and sober. I received help with my flight from California to Florida, a ride from the airport to the facility, incredible treatment from Medical and support staff, catered meals, large flat screen TVs in the incredibly comfortable rooms, a case manager, therapist, yoga instructor, physical trainer, guided meditation, pickle ball, football, bad mitten and surfing, creative writing and art classes and so much more‍‍ Once I made it to Beaches Recovery (PHP) I couldn't believe I was being taught to Surf and loving every second if it! I'll be taking by newfound surfing skills back to California with me! Then my head went numb and tingly during the treatment. I wasn't able to go to work after bc of how I was feeling. I called them back to speak with the doc and get peace of mind. They wouldn't put me on the phone with the doc and were not understanding of the pain I felt and had no real knowledge or explanation of what happened. Terrible experience and bad customer service. I feel that the facility is welcoming, comfortable, and relaxing throughout the entire process. As for Ketamine infusion therapy's efficacy, it in fact helped me a great deal. I know that the facility offers other services, and I'm sure the general experience is much the same. When you're labeled with mental health or addiction issues, it's not uncommon to experience discrimination within the medical community. I've always felt that Oasis is a safe place where I know the medical professionals understand what I'm going through, and they have true compassion. I highly recommend Oasis Wellness & Recovery, they are definitely more than a typical medical office!

In order to get to my husband's room, the first hall we had to go down was a nursing home environment. This included what appeared to be duller/dingy lights, the smell of bodily fluids, & someone yelling "help me!". We were there for in-patient physical therapy, not to be sent to a nursing home. The room itself was a private room, on the larger side. Only problem was, there was one chair in there. Not suitable for the patient, if they wanted to sit instead of lay in bed, & not suitable for visitors that were staying for more than a few minutes. It was very depressing in there. My husband was in the room for several hours at a time, without anyone coming in there to check on him. When a resident pushed the nurse button, a squealing noise could be heard very easily, even with the door shut. The staff ignored the call lights & the light/sound would be on for a minimum of 20 minutes before staff went in there. While he was there, the same person yelling "help me" could be heard on multiple occasions. He first was transferred there at about 2:30pm. Without medicine. They did not give him any medicine that night. The next morning, I had to bring him his morning medications because they still did not have any for him. He needed pain medicine for what he was originally taken to the hospital for. He couldn't get that, not even Tylenol. When I tried to tell someone about our concerns, no one seemed to know who to talk to about it. When I tried speaking to the social worker, she was leaving to go to a meeting. What started as a 30 minute meeting turned in to her being gone from her office for literally hours. When I mentioned leaving AMA, the nurse said that my husband could not leave. When I assured her that he could, then she changed her story & said that he could, but insurance might not pay. As soon as we told her that he wanted to leave, she was not nice at all. Needless to say, we came home after one day. He has an appointment with his doctor & he will be doing outpatient physical therapy. Stay far, far, far away from this place. We will never go there again.

My 86 year old Dad was taken to this facility for physical therapy. He arrived early afternoon from…read morethe hospital. We arrived at 3:30 pm only to find him in a dingy, dirty room. The facility smelled like urine and feces. Upon entering his room, he had a very noisy oxygen machine that had no water hooked up and he had a small container of tea that was "sweetened" with ? I took it to the nurses station and asked what kind of sweetener it was as he's a diabetic. They DIDN'T know so I asked for a cup and some thickener and some water as the elderly need this to avoid aspiration. They said that the kitchen staff takes care of that. Really? The man has been here for 3 hours with nothing to drink and he's thirsty. They finally brought him a container of no sugar thickened drink with NO cup to drink out of. There were red flags going off every minute he was there. My husband finally said we can't leave him here. I left and got his vehicle as we traveled from Michigan and didn't have room in our car for him. He signed the AMA, whatever that is and he did NOT get a copy of it. I talked to his nurse and she arrived at work at 3 pm and NEVER read his chart. It was 4:45 pm. He was dressed and ready to go when I got back. We asked if we could use a wheelchair to take him to the entrance and the nurse said NO! He signed the AMA and he couldn't use any equipment. What the hell! My Dad is on oxygen and is 86 years old! Luckily, I brought his portable oxygen unit and his walker. He had to walk out. I would NEVER take anyone to this uncaring, uncompassionate, unprofessional facility. He is strong enough that he didn't need their services. Thank you Jesus for my Dad's strength. Stay far away from this place.
