Told him my issue and the ac stopped cooling. He said I know right wear your house is. Ill be there in 15 minutes. Sure enough 2 tecs show up and professionally stook his hand out and said I'm mason and introduce the other tec. I cant remember his name but very professional. 2 minutes figured out the issue it was froze. He thawed it and checked and it was low on freon. Which means theres a leak. He explained what I would imagine. It needed a little freon till they could come and check for the leak then filled up. Very understandable. In the midst another crew came by just to see if they could help. Shortly after they where gone. But before a very nice gentleman asked if I was on the yearly maintenance plan. Im not. He explained and I will do that. But those guys really where extremely professional. I own retail stores across nc and I hope my employees give the same customer service. Ed serviced our HVAC unit, and he was very knowledgeable and careful and found some burnt wires and probably saved our home from much bigger problems. If you haven't had your dryer vent cleaned in a while or ever, I would highly recommend it as ours was so jammed up the clothes were taking longer to dry and that in itself could've caused a fire and bigger problems than just paying to get it cleaned. Our tech Matt and his helper were thorough and careful on cleaning all the duct work and dryer vent and cleaned up afterwards. We will definitely use Healthy Home again.

So I decided, instead of waiting for the part why not just replace this haunted unit with a new one. Sandpiper said they could do that, but again not until Tuesday. No way I wanted to go 6 days in this heat wave without air conditioning. So, after over 20years as a Sandpiper customer I decided to try someone else. I read that Kool Freeze and several 5 star ratings so I gave them a shot. They showed up and looked at the AC. Told me they no longer had an electrician which is the only reason I called them. They proceeded to try to sell me two AC units when I wanted an electrician which they never provided. Total ripoff. Now, they continue to send me mailings for their crappy services. I have called five times to get removed without success. Do not use them. They are horrible.
