Well let's see what today brings, since I had a rough experience here before. So far, check-in went well. All customers seemed happy and resort had a calm vibe. I had my hair styled and a regular polish manicure. I absolutely loved how my nails and hair turned out, all the products you guys used smell so good too. I can't wait to purchase some of the same polish and I heard the company was stared in Chandler as well. Thank you all. I had a wonderful massage here from Patrick. I really liked how clean, calm and serene the spa was. The treatment room was very relaxing and comfortable and Patrick did a great job of helping get the kinks out of my shoulders and legs. Afterwards, I was able to sit in front of the gas fireplace and have some cider and relax reading a book while I waited for my husband, who luckily got a much longer massage! There were also some nice outdoor areas, a whirlpool hot tub and what I believe was a steam room, along with a plunge pool. As others have noted, tip is automatically added but I was fine with that and would have done the same thing anyway. What surprised me is that even though the spa entrance is in the shadow of the waterslide and a pool filled with boisterous kids having fun, once you entered the doors that all disappeared. Do not recommend for waxing services. I understand i'm at a resort spa and prices are on the higher end, but i would expect to not have facial waxing done at a shampoo bowl, in between another clients appointment. I did book same day but it felt as if there was no preparation as the wax was not warm and the stylist/tech was digging to find warm wax. I've been to other resort spas for waxing and it has been a much more pleasant experience, even if for a quick appt. read more

Decided to do a spa day with a few friends here and I was surprised by so many things. The best part was the outdoor area but everything was very subpar 1. The tour of the place was not great just pointing to areas 2. We did not have an attendant coming around to ask if we wanted to order things 3. The cold and hot tubs were outside to be shared by both men and women 4. I booked a deep tissue and it was barely that and I wanted to add a paraffin and the guy said "oh well I guess I will have to go get it all read" so I decided not too because he didnt seem like he wanted to do that 5. The outdoor area is so beautiful but no one is changing the blankets when people lay on them which is not good practice for hygiene and cleanliness - The addons were not great can we get an extended foot massage add on or add cupping to a service. Overall, there is alot to be desired and for a $300 service there really needs to be some more added to this spa. I probably will not be in a rush to come back until customer service is updated, the women have their own hot and cold plunges and we all learn the meaning of deep tissue. I will say Justin was really great and Im not even sure of his job but he was super helpful. read more

Cassandra and Melissa were amazing! My friends and I enjoyed the summer Weds special. Well worth it all around! It was very relaxing and quiet and chill. The attendants were really nice! One thing I wish is people were more availed outside. We had to wait to order anything and track them down our selves. I think if they had people checking around more often where people are they would be able to attend to more. However everything was a 10! My wife and I visited Tierra Luna Spa yesterday, spending $600 on a gift card for massages, expecting to enjoy a relaxing day together and the amenities at the Arizona Biltmore. My wife is 7 months pregnant, and this was meant to be a special, peaceful day before our baby arrives. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The men's dressing room had no hot tub, no cold tub, and the sauna was broken. The only hot and cold tubs were outside in 115° heat with no shade. Since my wife is pregnant, she cannot use extreme temperature pools, so we hoped there would be a regular pool where we could relax together after our massages, maybe have some snacks and a drink. To our surprise, there was no pool connected to the spa at all. When I asked the front desk if we could use one of the 7 pools on the property--given that we couldn't use any of the spa's other amenities--we were told we were not allowed access. This, despite the fact we had already spent $600 and were ready to spend more on food and drinks. If you want just a massage, this place is fine. But for the price, the lack of usable amenities and inflexibility is unacceptable. We could have gone to the Four Seasons for roughly the same cost, enjoyed great massages, and gotten access to their amenities. Sadly, we left feeling frustrated and like our money was wasted. read more

Very pricey. Small. No pool or sauna. An alarm was sounding for over two hours so had to stay inside. The steam room didn't work right. I did really like the garden and the cold plunge. The carrot cake bites were good but I prefer the trail mix that you usually get at spas. The tea/coffee was good but no creamer/sugar. The iced tea was not good. I personally loved my experience at Tierra Luna, especially relaxing in the Sol Garden. I read others complaints but I wasn't looking to use the main pool, or bothered by the fact there was no pool, that hot tub and cold plunge were shared, servers with food/drinks, etc. I was there for the services and in my experience they were top notch! Cassandra did both my massage and facial and I will not hesitate booking with her again on a future visit, easy because I am a local! read more

This place is bad and I have been to at least 15 resort spas in the area. I had to ask 4 people and wait 25 minutes to get the complementary champagne they offered with their travelzoo. The girl I spoke to on the phone when requesting the appt I asked for deep pressure with a male therapist. I said I would pay the extra when booking for deep tissue and then at the actual massage was told that wasn't an option and I had to do the signature and my therapist was a female. I've always been able to pay extra for a deep tissue massage with a Groupon/travelzoo. read more

My husband booked my girlfriend and I pedicures at the Biltmore and we were so extremely disappointed. We were surprised when we were walked out of the beautiful aesthetic of the spa to the salon and nail area. The small room where they do those services was extremely unimpressive. My nail salon around the corner of my house looks nicer than that place did. The chairs were cheap, we faced a boring white wall and basic cabinets that we would see at our primary care doctor's office. No window in sight. My girlfriend booked the same pedicure as me, The Tierra Luna, and asked for a gel add on. The front desk somehow just changed the service to just a gel pedicure. The nail technician cleaned up her feet the same way you would have done at a regular place, drained the water and immediately started putting gel on. My Tierra Luna Pedicure basically just consisted of the same as hers but the woman put a quick mask on my feet, put a towel over my feet and left me for 10 min. Came back and did a massage with lotion. Then applied the polish. We have no idea what we paid $130 for. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. read more

D My daughter and I visited the Terri Luna Spa on Saturday, December 28 for what was meant to be a special Christmas experience together. I want to begin by saying that the ambience of the spa was lovely. The calming Southwest color palette, soft music, outdoor seating areas, fire pits, and amenities such as the cold plunge and loungers created a relaxing and beautiful environment that we truly enjoyed. Unfortunately, several aspects of our visit did not meet the level of professionalism and quality expected from a luxury spa experience, particularly at this price point. From the start, communication felt unprofessional. The staff member who handled both my reservation and the confirmation call was extremely difficult to understand and sounded as though she may have been eating while speaking. Upon arrival, the attendant who walked us through the facilities was kind, but her communication was also difficult to follow, which made the orientation feel confusing rather than welcoming. We also encountered concerning cleanliness and health issues. While using the hot tub, another guest entered with a clearly visible surgical wound with stitches and Steri-Strips, which did not seem appropriate for a shared hot tub environment. After that, we went to shower, and the shower area I entered had clearly not been cleaned. There was a used razor, hair scrunchie, and used facial towelette left behind, which was extremely disappointing and unsanitary. When we checked out, there were several staff members behind the desk, yet no one asked how our experience was or engaged with us in a meaningful way. For a $600 visit, I expected a significantly higher level of attentiveness, professionalism, and care. We truly loved the setting and the potential of your spa, but these concerns took away from what should have been a wonderful experience. I wanted to share this feedback so these issues can hopefully be addressed for future guests. read more

Tierra Luna Spa is such a peaceful and tranquil place. I only got a pedicure but enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The relaxation area is indoor and outdoor and the ladies changing area was nicely done. The pedicure was one of the best I've ever had and the polish lasted a loooong time...definitely worth the cost! Parking is a bit tricky, just let the person at the gate know you're going to the spa. My visit to Tierra Luna was incredible. My cousins and I spent the weekend at the Biltmore and booked massages for Saturday morning. We checked in early and we're given a tour of the facility and immediately offered herbal tea. After changing into our robes and sandals we lounged by the fireplace with our tea and waited for our massages. I did a 90 minute chakra massage and was very pleased with the massage and experience. The gentlemen that did the massage used specific massage oils associated with each chakra and crystals to open up my chakras as part of the massage. When it was finished he asked me what chakra I felt the biggest impact with and then he left that specific crystal for me to keep. It was really cool. Everything is beautifully designed and the aesthetic is so pleasing. It has an incredible Arizona/desert/southwest vibe in the coolest way. I loved the gardens and the many different lounge areas to reflect and spend time. A spa hot tub or a plunge pool would have been nice. Obviously those things are available on the hotel grounds but to have one in the spa garden would've taken my experience to the next level. The entire experience was incredible and one I would love to repeat. I don't know when I'll be back to the Biltmore but when I am there, I'll definitely book a spa treatment at Tierra Luna. read more

Husband was treated by a massage by me today for his birthday. He was pleasantly surprised by the spa treatment, and the experience! Very resting relaxing place! A good massage with deep tissue as well. place was beautifully decorated and clean. Price is a bit up there and they put on a 20% tip. What ever happen to the customer decides on a tip, as a tip is earned for great customer satisfaction and experience. Seems to be lost these days. I've had three treatments here and thought this spa was pretty mediocre. It makes sense to pay gratuity on, say, a massage, but they have a 20% gratuity automatically added when you're doing halotherapy or a bath ritual and the person literally. just shows you to the room. Even the clay ritual involves simply giving you clay and rocks. When I was here two treatments started late even though I was told to show up a half hour in advance, the lack of water pressure in the outdoor shower made it really hard to remove the clay, there were no snacks in the relaxation room, the locker room was cold, I was given wet sandals, and the lockers didn't consistently lock. Also it was really hard to figure out where to go without signs. Will go back to Aji instead next time. read more

My most recent visit was particularly exceptional and I wanted to update. It started with booking; they literally picked up on the first ring. My spa attendant George did a beautiful job setting up for my service, the Circadian Ritual Bath. There was plenty of water, iced tea, and chocolates provided. Other snacks in the spa included carrot cake and some kind of marmalade pastry that was delicious. Additional food is available for a fee (the grain bowl was really good). Drinks are limited to water and iced tea, though pressed juice is available for purchase. The Sol Garden and the baths really set this spa apart. It's so peaceful in the bathing cabana, and they have fans so it doesn't get too hot. It's nice laying out for a bit and taking a dip in the cold plunge while enjoying the desert scenery. I never noticed the skylights in the showers, nice touch. For my next visit I want to try one of the Ayuna facials. I'm familiar with the line and would love to experience a treatment. read more

I went to this spa while I was staying at the Biltmore. Unfortunately, the facilities were subpar considering it's a Waldorf hotel spa. The outside area was extremely beautiful they didn't have much else to offer. All they had was a hot and cold pool, anda steam room in the locker room. I did try to reach out, but I can't even get a hold of anybody so I guess the customer service is questionable. Did I feel like I was even touched afterwards? Not at allll. When she was wrapping up, I was thinking she was about to get into the actual massage, but it turns out the time was up. I wanted to book a spa day this weekend for my 30th birthday, but accidentally booked for today, just an hour before the appointment would have occurred. When they called I explained the mix up, but the manager said they would not reschedule, I would need to pay for a second appointment and they would keep the entire $225 for the accidental booking. I understand charging a fee for a mistake like this, but the entire price of the appointment is ridiculous. They didn't provide any service and they have availability for the rest of today. We have so many great spa options in Phoenix. When my regular resort spa was fully booked, I decided to give the spa at the Biltmore a try. It has been years since I've been to the spa and wowza, what a different experience. It's a beautiful spa with a large relaxation room and a large outdoor lounging area. The men's locker room is large, modern and immaculate. The only ding is the abscence of deodorant etc. I wish I had known that the spa was brand new! Massages at a resort spa can be an expensive hit or miss. I prefer deep pressure and had an excellent massage from Matt. No chit-chat, just a great massage that he modified with some lomi-lomi techniques. One of the best resort massages I've ever had! read more

I had a massage at 2:00. I was not taken in early. After my massage I slowly walked the Sol Garden and checked out the two pools. I wandered back to the locker room and got my stuff out. I was shocked to find that it was 2:53. I have never had a masseur short me minutes! Like 10 minutes! I just figured that I would leave a bad tip for poor service. When I went to check out I was forced to tip her 20%! It is my fault for not making a stink about it in the moment, but I didn't want to ruin my mood by possibly having to confront my massage therapist after paying over $200 for a relaxing spa afternoon. The facility itself is very nice, but after being cheated and forced to tip generously I wouldn't go back. Not a great experience. A couple of interactions with the staff left a bad taste in our mouths. The outdoor space wasn't particularly relaxing, as the doors slam heavily and there were several groups being particularly loud - felt like we were at a public pool. In the locker room multiple people had confusion with their bracelet system and it affected the overall vibe. We booked two of the same services on the same reservation and one of us got extras that weren't communicated to the other, so it made us feel pretty awkward. When we gave feedback at the front desk, they argued with each other in front of us and then tried to gaslight us, despite the fact we were clear we were paying the full amount but just wanted to note feedback. I've been to many spas that don't tout themselves as "fancy" as this one, and received much better service with a more relaxing experience. We will never go back - there are too many other options in this area for them to charge that much for a subpar quality of experience and less-than-professional staff. The cushions and chairs throughout could also use a good cleaning or replacement. read more
