Initially there was confusion among the staff of who would cut my hair, then they still wanted to wash my hair even though I told them I just took a shower 10 minutes ago and did nothing to my hair. I get my hair blow dried with Manolita every 2 weeks. She is QUICK and does a great job. From wash to iron I have never exceeded 40 minutes with her, and considering how much hair I have, that's record timing. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because my manicure experiences haven't been the best, and my shellac peeled off after 2 days. read more

This place kind of reminds me of shopping on Canal Street for knock-off designer purses. They really try to hustle you here BUT they have pretty good deals if you're assertive enough to tell their ultra-aggressive staff to back off when they try to push you into services you really don't want or need. They also harp on vanity and insecurities to up-sell you as well (your roots are showing, looks like you're growing a mustache, there's so much dry skin on your feet, ewe!) which I don't appreciate, like, and usually black-list a salon when they utilize these kinds of lame tactics, but at the same time, it's so transparent here it's kind of comical. I came here for the first time last Saturday. I called beforehand and asked how much it would cost to get my whole face threaded. They said $35, which I thought was a pretty good deal being that most places charge that just for your eyebrows. Pedicure was $20; price-wise not great, but decent, so I was sold. Personally, I thought the place was pretty run-down looking. If Tabitha from Salon Takeover was there, she'd freak. Looked like a low-brow mani/pedi place you'd expect to see in the Malls of the Americas, next to the food court, where they'll give you a coupon for a free arepa from the neighboring vendor if you purchase a pair of their Ed Hardy knock-off flip flops. The woman who threaded my face wasn't gentle (and as soon as she noticed my fingers, insisted I needed a manicure) but she shaped my eyebrows really well and did the job properly. Then again, during the process, she just let hairs scatter and fly everywhere, including all over my face (and in my eye), and never bothered to wipe or blow any of them off of me. She also left halfway through the process for about 5 minutes without saying anything. Ends up she was getting another thread because she could tell the one she was using on me was too coarse and hurting me, but again, she never said anything before leaving. Which was weird. The pedicure was even weirder. It was done by the same woman who threaded me. She sat me down, immediately after being threaded without even giving me an opportunity to select a polish color, dunked my feet in scorching hot water, and just went to town while her co-workers came by and complained with her and counted tips right in front of me. And even though this place has massage chairs, the pedicure in general wasn't a relaxing experience by any means, especially when the woman who was working on me dug a sharp tool under and around my big toe nail. Ugh. Also, when she was done scraping the bottom of my foot with one of those old-school cheese-grater things, she actually laid my foot down on a mound of my own dead skin. She also dropped towels on the floor constantly and would re-use them. I'm not quite sure which part of the pedicure I found more amusing -- the fact that halfway thought it my pedicurist realized she had never let me choose a polish color and tried to pawn this really ugly color on me just because it was on her table (I insisted she put a pair of those paper flip-flops on my feet and let me choose a color I actually wanted). Or that while all of this was going down, I noticed a hairdresser with a mixing bowl retouching some lady's grown out roots with this god awful orangey-blonde dye while the lady was getting her acrylics done. When the hairdresser was done retouching this lady, she actually walked up to me and asked if I wanted to get my roots retouched as well, with the same dye...and I have a completely different hair color.....yeah. And at the end of the pedicure, I was shoo-ed off my chair immediately, and sent to the receptionist to pay, nails still wet. AND when paying, the woman who had worked on me told me my total was $55 (which I knew it was going to be from calling ahead of time) and had the gull to actually say "Oh, and I gave you $5 off the threading because you're a new client." Yeah. Sure you did. BUT, my pedicure looks great, my eyebrows look perfect and it didn't break the pocketbook. So, pick your poison. You can go here and deal with a bunch of unprofessional people who do a decent job on the cheap or go to a nicer, more professional salon, and maybe get less quality work because the shitty work is masked by a decent-looking salon. read more

I can only speak for the eyebrow threading. For years I have had trouble getting my eyebrows done. Wax causes me to get welts and then I have breakouts that last a week. Not a pretty site. Finding an esthetician that is willing to pluck you rather than wax you is quite difficult, as it is very time consuming in comparison to the speed and ease of wax. Luckily a friend of mine became a licensed esthetician and was willing to help me out every so often. Even then, getting a nicely shaped arch was difficult. So I was on the hunt for threading. After hearing about it in magazines for years, I finally found a friend that had it done and loved her experience. She recommended Chi, at Tiffany's. The first time it was a little painful of course, not being used to this style of hair removal. Now, after having gone 3 times I don't even flinch. Best of all? I have an enviable arch!!! After reading several reviews about the eyebrow threading I decided I should give this place a chance. When I first arrived I was greeted by a very friendly front desk person, but there was an older woman sitting next her with just about the most grim face I have ever seen. Anyways I didn't let this sway me, I asked for Chi and she was very friendly. I told her that I didn't want her to mess with the shape too much I just wanted her to touch up the bottom a little. She said sure and began threading. I thought it was absolutely disgusting that the string around her neck looked very dirty and very used. I'm pretty sure that isn't sanitary. When she finished I sat up and looked in the mirror. My eyebrows were not only the thinnest I have every had them, but they were so uneven that one eyebrow could have very easily slid over the other. I looked like I was permanently perplexed. I paid her and left. I am not one to complain and I am not one to leave reviews that are this awful, but one month later I'm still struggling to get my eyebrows back to normal. I do not recommend this place. Maybe she is good for people who already have thin eyebrows, but if you like fuller eyebrows -- don't do it. read more

Terrible customer service! I did a shellac manicure because I was going out of town and those normally last about 2 1/2 weeks for me which was perfect. However, once I got to my destination the day after I had done the shellac manicure, I noticed it was already starting to peel off! Obviously, this is not normal and they did something wrong. I was able to literally peel each color off my nails without using acetone! I then had to pay for a polish change on my nails and toes so my nails could look decent while I was on vacation. When I came back in town a week later, I called and spoke to the manager - who, in the middle of me explaining the problem put the phone down and I overheard her arguing with another customer. When she came back to the phone she had the audacity to tell me I should've called from out of the country the minute the manicure started to peel off (really?!) and when I told her that was crazy she hung up on me (really?!!). After calling back furious, she reluctantly offered a complimentary shellac manicure but I would have to pay an additional $12 to have a polish change on my toes so the color could match. Why should I have to pay an additional $12 for someone's else mistake? I don't think so. Do yourself a favor and avoid this over-priced place. They obviously can't do shellac manicures correctly, and don't know the first thing when it comes to customer service. read more

If you want some banging eyebrows that will have everyone asking you where you got them done then you need to stop by and see this girl! She works basically every day of the week except Wednesday, yea I know, its awesome to have so much availability but she works like a mule!!!! Best of all if shes in the middle of a pedi or mani she will find a good stopping point and take you, you are truly in and out within 10 minutes she is that quick! I have been coming here for about 3 years now and honestly I live all the way in Aventura and will make the hour drive through traffic to come see her. She does do wax from what I know but I only do the threading with her. I've watched this salon grow over the years into a bigger and nicer place. I've been coming here to get my haircut by Pamela for about 6 years. She does a great job and always understands the way I want my hair cut and styled. She's one of the best and does amazing coloring as well. She gets booked fast, so make an appointment to assure you have a spot. I would recommend going during the week, it's less packed and you don't have to wait as long in between clients. The salon itself is very spacious. One side is for nails while the other is for hair. There's also a washing station where very nice women wash your hair and massage your head. There's also a separate waxing room and changing room. All the employees that work there are very nice. I've never had any problems with this salon, I definitely recommend coming to get your hair done here (ask for Pamela!)! read more

I go here for shellac manicure, and a regular pedicure, and usually pay about $55. The price is a little higher than other salons, but they do a good job, and they never make me wait more than 2-5 minutes even when I walk-in. One time I asked for a hair up-do, and I was very dissatisfied. I had to ask the hair dresser to undo it, and just wash and blow dry my hair. The up-do she did made my hair look like a rats nest. I will continue going to this salon but for my nails only. I know they get very busy with hair service, so I may have just had bad luck with my hair that day - bad hair day perhaps? I needed a brow place closer to home so I really looked forward to coming to this salon because of the reviews on yelp and real life recommendations from people. However, my personal experience was less than good. I don't write reviews - much less negative reviews but I am really unhappy with the end result of my threading experience in this place. I was on time to my appointment but I had to wait about 20+ minutes because the person scheduled to do my brows was doing someone else's hair color. When I was finally attended to she didn't even listen to what I wanted for my brows or the concerns I had with my brows. I like thick brows/have a scar on one of my brows and she completely ruined the shape and thinned them out. She then proceeded to tell me she did a "perfect" job and walked out without hearing any feedback from me. She didn't listen to me the 5 minutes she was with me and I had to look for the cooling gel MYSELF and apply it myself to my brows and the irritated skin around it. I'm so upset because now I have to let my brows grow for months in order to begin to attempt my natural thick brow look. The customer service by the person who did my brows was horrible. The receptionist was nice and the salon was packed - however, my needs weren't met and I will definitely never recommend this place and will be traveling far to get my brows done correctly. read more

Chose this salon randomly, needed a place close by to take my daughter for a haircut. The one place I wanted to go to was closed on Sunday's, but I must say we were very happy with this find. We made an appointment for 1:30pm and arrived 15min early, but they took us in within 5min.
