The stylists are talented and consistently do a great job, which is why this situation was so disappointing. I had booked appointments for myself and my 3-year-old daughter--a dry style and a kids blowout--because we had a mother/daughter beach photo session scheduled. Unfortunately, due to a poor weather forecast, our photos were rescheduled to the following day. I called to see if it would be possible to move our appointments to Monday, but was told the salon is closed. I then asked if we could switch to other services, like pedicures or waxing, since getting our hair done before a day of swimming (on Monday) would be a complete waste of time and money, not to mention unnecessary heat styling. I was told only hair stylists were available and no alternatives could be offered. I also asked if I could receive a credit for a future appointment and still be charged that day, but this request was denied as well. I understand and respect the need for cancellation policies. However, these were two concurrent 30-minute appointments, and the complete lack of flexibility--even for a long-time, loyal client--was disappointing. I was told there were no exceptions and that I would be charged in full. As someone who has frequented this business for a decade, I would have hoped that loyalty might carry some weight. It feels short-sighted to risk losing a long-standing customer over two 30-minute services. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my perception, and I won't be returning to Cloud 10 in the future.

They did wash my hair and gave me a nice blowdry - I usually like beach waves with a little height so that when your hair falls, it doesn't just go flat. My hair was a little too flat so the waves really didn't last long. They did ask me if I wanted to buy a package (20% off) but I declined. It is a very pretty studio as well and I wish them luck. My updo was not only very secure and balanced, but I had NO pain, poking, itchiness, tightness, or soreness. That is a MIRACLE!! I have a very sensitive scalp and often get bumps and cuts. Getting my hair styled can be a painful ordeal. Lexi was extremely gentle and the updo was easy to take out on my own at the end of the night. Lexi saw my vision and made it happen. I was honestly panicking and walked into Hair Cuttery hoping someone could help me fix it. Lisa absolutely saved my hair. She squeezed me in the same day, spent HOURS carefully correcting the color, preserving the dimension of my balayage, and making sure my hair still looked healthy and natural. She stayed until 10 PM (an hour after closing!) to make sure everything was right and never once rushed the process. What impressed me most is that she didn't just cover up the problem -- she thoughtfully corrected it while keeping the hair dimensional, soft, and flattering. The final result looks polished, healthy, and so much more sophisticated than I expected after the disaster I walked in with.
