I hate having to leave a review but I would hate for somebody to have the experience I had getting their nails done. Most of the people working were really nice but the woman doing my nails seemed to be in so much of a rush which I understand a lot of people were coming in for things and there wasn't enough people working, but that's not an excuse to not give a customer what they're paying for. A man did my feet pretty nice and fast and I got my nails done at the same time but the woman doing my nails was trying to do 10 things at once (figuratively, but it was that if not more) and paid no attention to how she was doing my nails at all!! I noticed it was after a customer came in that looked like they had more money that she really started rushing even more to get to them (even though they were a walk in and I had an appointment and drove from 30 minutes away) I don't know if she thought I wouldn't tip well or what but she gave me the WORST nails I have ever seen in my life, after I told her she told me come back the next day and she would redo them but since I'm pregnant and came from so far I couldn't find the time but the nails were so bad I went to the shop by me and paid to get them removed and redone. My hands were different lengths, every nail was bad, they were the wrong shape, wrong color, wrong absolutely everything. I appreciate her offering to redo them but I think it's only because she knew how bad they were and my time and money had already been wasted. Really impressed with this place. I normally do dip or gel but because my nails got so screwed up with color street (recently) I had to do regular polish until my nails grow out. Usually when I do regular polish at least one nail will some how get messed up. Sure it's probably mostly my fault, but 10 out of 10 it will happen. But not this time. I got basic pedi and mani done by Kim, polish on hands by a younger tech with an OSU beavers sweater (wish I got her name because she's GOOD). Don't go to Tiffany's if: 1- you don't want most of your nails to break due to no fault of your own 2- you don't want to pay a lot for each nail that broke 3- you don't want the appointment you schedule and pay a deposit for online to be rescheduled each time 4- you don't want the fee to be much higher than you were told it would be when you made the appointment 5- you don't want to be surprised with additional charges at the end of your appointment 6- you don't want to listen to the same piano song on a loop for hours every time you're there 7- you don't want your SNS nails to be thick, dull, and uneven 8- you don't want to be charged more than the other salons in the area for work that's inferior to most of the other salons 9- you are expecting the same amazing quality results as you used to get from Tiffany's before Covid hit and she lost all of her employees. I was a loyal customer for over 3 years before Covid. Had to stop going during the worst of Covid, and was very excited when I was finally able to go back. I could not have been more surprised and disappointed by how downhill the place went. The worst thing was that most of my nails broke soon after getting them done. Both of my arms are in casts and I'm barely able to use my fingers, so it's not like I'm gardening, doing construction, lots of dishes, or anything that would cause my nails to break. Tiffany must be using bad/old products, or something because the breakage isn't my fault. Before Covid, I'm all the years I went there, I had maybe 3 occasions where my nails chipped or broke, so something has definitely changed. After my last appointment when I texted her soon after to let her know that SIX of my nails had broken (one very painfully), she told me that if I didn't want to pay for each of those nails to be repaired then I should pay for an entire new full set. The time before that, I had made an appointment for "custom SNS manicure", but at the end of the appointment the price was much more than it said it would be on her website. This is what I was referring to in points 4 & 5. She told me why she was charging more- because I had more than one color and a broken nail had to be repaired. On her website there's "SNS manicure" or "SNS custom manicure", and the "custom" was supposed to include multiple colors or designs, but she charged extra for that anyways. That wouldn't have mattered as much if she had told me she was going to charge 20% more she had done it and the appointment was over. Tiffany is very nice and I absolutely loved her salon in the past, and I hate having to write a bad review but people should know how horrible it is now. If you're expecting it to be anywhere near as great as it was before Covid, you will be severely disappointed (and will likely be surprised by extra charges at the end, there's a good chance your nails will break quickly for no reason, and your appointment you schedule initially will be cancelled and rescheduled). I scheduled my manicure appointment the day prior and was delighted that they were able to fit me in! This was the first time trying SNS dip powder nails. I've always gotten gel or shellac done; I wished I had tried SNS sooner! There's many benefits to using SNS because it is nourishing for your nails and non-toxic. My nails will grow stronger, so adding tips won't be necessary in the future! Super happy she didn't make my cuticles bleed! It's rare that it doesn't happen. It was overall an amazing experience with Tiffany (business owner)!!! Located in downtown LO, but you won't need to pay for parking. There's ample parking in front of the salon. On my second visit to Tiffany, I was asked during my pedicure if I had some "extra time" - it was my day off, so I wasn't in a rush, and told them so. It wasn't until my manicure was started, that I was told the person was "training to do SNS." I couldn't really say I wasn't interested in being a hand model - I felt uncomfortable because I was already sitting with the training technician, and she had already started. It took almost TWO HOURS. On top of my pedicure, it was like I spent half of my day there. The nails turned out "okay." There were two that had a high, lumpy ridge running vertically down the side of my nail. And I ended up with a bunch of SNS crust on my skin. I said I was satisfied because I just wanted to get out of there, and there were four technicians hovering over us. I also didn't want to cause a scene. I would've appreciated not being someone's guinea pig- or at least given a steep discount for being the two hour training model. Or for getting an average manicure. I haven't been back since, for that reason. And I was even ready to overlook this, and maybe return, until this morning. I was awaken at 5:30am with a text advert from Tiffany Nail! Awful! Tiffany is a wonder! Her shop is lovely, relaxing, and impeccably clean. On my first visit she suggested I try the SNS powder dip nail technique rather than my standard shellac manicure. I am so impressed by this product! My nails stayed perfect for almost 3 weeks. The only reason I needed to get back to Tiffany was because of grow out. They do not chip or peel and hold their color beautifully. If you haven't tried this product, check it out. I love this Salon!! Clean, very sanitary. They have everyone sanitize their hands when they walk in. It's two blocks from where I live, so I always walk down for my pedicure. I wanted to wait a day to see how I liked the nails before I reviewed. I thought there was no way I could still be as excited as I was yesterday after they were finished but I am! I flew into Portland yesterday and wasn't able to book a nail appointment before hand. I messaged Tiffany around 2:30 if there was any chance to squeeze me in that afternoon for my first time trying SNS/dipped nails. She told me there was an opening in 10 minutes! I walked in and was greeted warmly and offered tea, coffee, water, champagne, etc. There were HUNDREDS of colours to choose from and Jenny did an amazing job. She was thorough but gentle and even recommended a slightly darker shade so it would turn out better. I don't get my nails done often but if I ever move back to LO (grew up here) I would definitely be coming in every few weeks. The staff was friendly and let me know proper nail care for SNS. I also appreciated Tiffany who checked in with me every so often and was very forthcoming if I had any issues with the finish product. I have been searching for a new nail salon for about 5 months and tried Tiffany Nails & Spa based on the Yelp reviews. I could not be more thrilled with the results of my gel/shellac manicure and organic pedicure. The manicure and pedicure are absolutely flawless. The techs (Kim and Hoang) were very meticulous and detailed. The massages were the best I've ever had for a mani/pedi! Most important, the salon is clean and sanitary. While I was getting my pedicure, the nail tech did my shellac on my lap. While I appreciate the time save, it did make for a bit of awkward maneuvering getting my feet in and out of the foot bowl. Next time I go in, I may ask to keep these services separate. Hopefully that is an option. Regardless, this doesn't change my 5 star rating! For anyone new, they mainly take cash/check, but they have an ATM in the salon. Looks like they will take a credit card in a pinch for a fee. read more

Things happen and when a business cares about their customers they apologize and offer a solution to deliver on basic original expectations right? NOT TIFFANY!! HORRIBLE customer service experience with Tiffany herself. I am a repeat customer for nails, toes, waxing and lashes here at this salmon. Scratch that WAS a customer! Recently I had my nails done there. Long story short the polish was bad. Tiffany blamed me for being hard on my nails. I've never had this problem. I've spent 3 hours getting this done and supposedly fixed in the last week. Still after following her instructions the polish which she insisted was good is messed up again- it just isn't hardening like it is supposed to. Tomorrow I'm leaving town on a business trip and not only can she not fit me in with any of her techs she hung up on me! Incredibly unprofessional. I NEVER post bad reviews EVER and I believe there is always a win-win solution or am silent if service is mediocre. Using my energy and time to share mostly when I have an incredible experience somewhere. Today however when the business owner Tiffany hung up on me while I'm asking for a solution and now I will have to go to another salon and spend more time and money to fix a basic service, I feel a warning to the public is necessary! For those of you still reading here are a couple of other things to note: -I've seen others have rough customer service experiences but my own work looked good so I hadn't had a chance to experience this personally -she fired my normal tech and told me "he did great work but was a bad person with a bad personality and (she) can't deal with that -the polish was messed up on 2 nails the first time I had this mani and she said I must have bumped them in the light (I didn't but whatever they took and extra 10 minutes and fixed them) -I did go back in this week for her to fix my nails and she insisted that I was just rough on them so she'd put 2 topcoats they did the same thing again which led to this conversation where she offered no acceptable solution and hung up on me -to make sure we weren't accidentally disconnected I did call back but she is ignoring the call from my number -now reading other reviews and keeping in mind the time it takes to write them from a customer standpoint, I am disappointed to see a pattern of her blaming the customer in her responses and not taking any kind of ownership when the salon messes up :( too bad because I've been incredibly happy with all of their work until now! Update after owners response. The color is actually exactly what I want and the tech is doing a great job but she's simply working with a bad bottle. The last manicure she did for me lasted over 3 weeks and I just had to have done because of growth!! Since August I've done 2 sets of full lashes and 5 infills, a pedi and 4 shellac manis. (Tiffany does an amazing job on lashes! And I'm more than bummed about having to find a new tech for them. She makes them beautiful and they look real!) having said that I've spent at least 15 hours and over $1200 on services. So if I wanted a new color I would have simply asked for it and this is not a matter of getting something for free. I'll pay more even if I can spend less time! I've missed one appointment (which she charged me for by the way). I had an emergency and did not call her before the appointment so that's fair! I also had to reschedule with her on two occasions. I'm including timeline of this last debacle in the form of text reminders as well as a picture of my nails for other potential customers to decide. Tiffany did agree to fix the nails when I called her earlier in the week and said that she herself would try the bottle of polish on herself to make sure it was good before I came back in. I asked if I needed an appointment and she said "no just call before you come to make sure we can get you in." I'm traveling and the time that she offered was the time I need to arrive at the airport so that didn't work. I did tell her that if she could not work me in to fix this given I've already been in there for it to be fixed that I would have to pay another salon to redo them. If that was the case I would not be back and that I would write a review reflecting my experience. She hung up on me at that point. She's never had to fix anything for me before this manicure and I'll repeat all of my previous services looked GREAT and lasted longer than I've had at other salons. I was loyal to another nail shop located on B street, regularly spending $350 per month on SNS manicures and pedicures 2 x per month. One visit my old shop had a tech who we had never used before so my daughters nails. She was newly trained in application the SNS powder. She did a terrible job. I mean it was an absolute mess.
