In October 2015 we took our 2013 Tiffin 36LA to Red Bay for several minor repairs. Their campground was full but made arrangements with another nearby RV company. We were told to be ready at any giving time because we were scheduled for the Express Bay 3 hour time window. The first day a representative came by and recorded my needed repairs. He told us to stay close by because they could call at any time. He said if we didn't get called by 3pm we would not get serviced that day because they closed the shop at that time. The next day a satellite tech came by and fixed our tv problems at the site. He was a very knowledgable and efficient man. For the next 8 days we waited for our call but it didn't come. Seems that if you are within your one year warrenty they get put ahead of other customers which is good for those folks but not me! Finally on the 10th day we were called to be at a certain bay number. The 2 man crew went about making the repairs until I was told that to get my rear jack fixed I would have to move to another bay for that work but that I would have to schedule that another time. Of course I was not very happy about that and begain complaining when a tech from the jack repair bay come over and asked what the jack was doing. We moved to his bay and he changed a part that had me on my way in 10 min. Even though he had another customer headed to his bay. So even after the 10 day wait I left a satisfied customer. read more

My 2025 Tiffin Allegro Bus (Bob Tiffin model) that is still under warranty. On April 23, while traveling no more than 10-15 MPH through the Smoky Mountains in Cherokee North Carolina with my 2025 Tiffin Allegro Bus (Bob Tiffin model), the brakes caught fire. This required ultimately the replacement of all braking components, totaling $12,049.10. There were no dashboard alerts or visible warning signs while driving. Repairs were not made until seven days after the incident. During that time, I went back and forth with Tiffin by phone, keeping them informed of the situation and offering the opportunity for inspection prior to repairs. There was ample time for this, but no one was sent. Both Truck Repair owners including Redmond Trucking, the dealer's mechanic from Campers Inn, and Trantham Trucking stated in writing on their invoices that the issue was incorrect brake calibration. Specifically, the engine brake should have been set at 5 MPH as stated directly in the Tiffin specifications and on their website, but was set from the factory at 20 MPH. In addition, the rear brakes were also incorrectly calibrated. I have been informed that this exact issue occurred with one of the owners at Campers Inn, where the brakes caught fire and Tiffin covered those repairs under warranty. However, I am now being told that my situation will not be covered under warranty. Tiffin, specifically Greg Dee's, has stated that there is nothing wrong with the coach and that I will not be reimbursed under warranty. This position is difficult to understand given the specific circumstances. Two independent mechanics both confirmed that the brakes were incorrectly set at the factory, contrary to Tiffin's own specifications. Both mechanics stated that the engine brake should have been set to engage at 5 MPH, as specified by Tiffin. I simply want to be reimbursed for the work needed on my bus which should be under warranty read more

We purchased our second Tiffin class A Allegro Bus 605 motor home in 2021 because we had such a great experience with our first 2014 coach. All I can say is this has been an absolute lemon. We have not had one trip in the new Allegro bus without a serious issue causing significant travel delays and Thousands of dollars in repair work on our dime. Since Tiffin sold out to Thor we have experienced nothing but headaches and run around. The back slides, which are now well documented as being unable to function appropriately, have now been replaced with Schwintech hydraulic slides at our expense ($10K) despite assurances from Bob Tiffin that that he would cover them. Notably all new models now have the appropriate hydraulic slides. We have had inverter issues, faulty Aqua hot issues, DEF sensor issues which shut our coach down on the road, oil leaks from the rear tires because the bolts were not tightened appropriately, etc. Suffice it to say we have not gone on one trip with the new coach without a breakdown stopping our travel. This is well beyond small, expected issues with normal travel. I have gone from a strong advocate for the quality of Tiffin motor coaches and their resolve to stand behind them to someone who will not purchase another Tiffin coach. Customer service, quality and business integrity have simply disappeared with this manufacturer. We purchased this vehicle from LaMesa RV in Phoenix and struggle every time we need service. read more

We bought a 2025 byway. we have had nothing but trouble since it was purchased. Made 5 monthly payments before we had access to use it due to all the issues its had. we finally go on our first vacation and we are stranded on the side of the highway many hours from home because the bearing plug and oil was not installed when manufacturered. The roadside mechanic informed us that if this piece and oil was installed then there would be the plug and oil all over the inside of the cap. It all looks brand new. Worst purchase ever made. To make it better we had to walk/hitch hike with our 2 kids and 2 dogs because the tow company by freighliner doesn't allow passengers and where we were on the side of the highway didn't have an exact address so we couldn't Uber, lyft, or get a cab. In addition to getting it towed to freightliner they can't get it fixed til Wednesday (7 days later) after the end of our scheduled vacation and when we are suppose to be back home and working our jobs. When calling Tiffin and Freightliner all I got was sorry can't help you and good luck. I've had many campers in the past never this much trouble, hassle, and poor customer service. My kids are missing there vacation. My daughters breast milk for her baby 11 bags also is in our freezer suppose to be taken to meet for our family vacation but it will be ruined now and she quit pumping so this is all she has for her baby. Bought a BRAND NEW Phaeton 40IH in 2021 from Happy Daze RV in Sacramento CA. On first visit back to Happy Daze service center (about 1 month later) after camping in our driveway several issues were found. Notably paint defects/imperfections. These were to be repaired under the warranty per the service workorder. They have not been repaired. The paint on the sidewall has started to crack as a result and Tiffin Motorhomes and Happy Daze RV are refusing to cover the repairs under the warranty. we have tried emailing with supporting documents and pictures and calling and leaving messages. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE and they do not honor their warranty!! Update: They also blocked me from their facebook page and deleted my comments and pleas for help. Have a class C wayfarer. Have called and spoken to someone on two different occasions. She acts like the part is in and going to ship then the communication stops. This happened to me in May for a minor part and yesterday with a motor needed while on the road. If you are ordering parts from Tiffin and speak with a Tina Treece ask for someone else. I bought my 2019 Tiffin Red 33AA about 2 years ago, the driver and passenger seat started peeling shortly after the purchase. I know it's a known problem and Tiffin has supplied new seat covers for many customers, when I inquired they told me it would be $900 a seat for the cover and I would have to get it reupholstered myself. Why do some customers get the covers for free and some don't, not a good way to conduct business. The customer service is why I bought a Tiffin, since THOR purchased them CS has gone away. My next coach will be a Newmar, hopefully they will do better. read more

The Tiffin team are the nicest and most helpful people you will ever meet . If I have issue with my motor home they will talk me through it and get a solution. Spoke to Bob Tiffin 2 times and even with my RV being slightly out of warranty they shipped all the parts to get my RV fixed at over $1500.00 in parts the very next day NO CHARGE !! Well, RV enthusiasts here's our review: we have been in possession of our 2015 Allegro 34 since February 2015 and are extremely disappointed! We had no less than 12 issues and problems our first year starting with large holes in the firewall, bathroom lights inoperative, screws missing from overhead vent preventing operation, entry step failures with only 400 total miles on rig, hydraulic slide (now for fourth time), levelers inoperable again, no means of manual retracting all slides as our prior motor home, front end out of alignment causing us to buy 2 new ones and Pay to replace them, more frustrations and aggravation than any motor home owner ought endure with a new unit! Red Bay keeps saying to bring our unit to them for repair and we live 6+ hours away: in the first year, had we opted to do just that, we would have put an additional 5000 Miles on a new Tiffin -? I don't think so; Tiffin ought have a better quality assurance program and final inspection - my reference is Aviation where there are always alternative measures and procedures, especially in emergencies to get an aircraft to an authorized repair facility -! Tiffin seems close hold with few authorized repair facilities OR, perhaps that's so due to the poor reliable motor homes? The Red Bay ford dealer, where Bob acquires the Ford powered chassis does NOT have the capability to put our unit in their shop? Our cruise control failed in 2017 and we drove 7000 miles without that cruise due to scheduling issues with the Ford dealers I contacted for that repair; how many $$$ does the Red Bay Ford dealer make off sales to Bob? Interesting thought I propose! Bottom line I cannot in good conscience recommend ANY Tiffin to potential motor home buyers! Sad that we spent 160k $ to have these frustrations, experiences and aggravation ! If Tiffin motor homes is limited on its source for reliable parts, I'm sorry. But, Tiffin ought be focused on long term use of their products by having a good final inspection, road test and decent quality control processes throughout the build of new units. New Phaeton 40QBH delivered with defective/damaged floors, notified Tiffin with 24 hours. They took coach back to factory and replaced about 1/3 of the tiles. Now replacement tiles do not match. Tiffin now says no warranty as scratches not covered do to normal use, wear and tear. Ken Neal stated very early on that tiles either installed damaged or damaged during install. 3 time Tiffin owner for 7 years, next coach will not be a Tiffin. read more

I really appreciate all the support from all the wonderful people at Tiffin. Every time I call with a concern they patiently spend their time addressing my concerns until resolved. I bought an older coach to restore, a 1997 Allegro Bus 35ft 5.9 Cummings 6spd Allison and they treat me no different then if I just bought a brand new unit. This should make any new Tiffin owner feel confident in the company as they seem to stick with you through the life of your coach. There is no wonder why Tiffin is the leader in coach building and demonstrating the highest caliber of professional standards in the motorhome industry. We ordered a part for our 2010 Phaeton and requested the cheaper shipping because we weren't in a hurry for the part, and they shipped it 2 Day Priority Mail $21.32!! Part was only $66.08. Their response when I called to inquire was that was the only way they could ship it to get a tracking #. WHICH IS BULL$H_T. Will L. said this is "an amazing facility." Personally, I think that is an understatement. The owner, Bob Tiffin, although older, comes to work everyday and continues to run this debt free company. He firmly believes in the "smile and a handshake" as the way to secure multi-million dollar deals. As such, he allows you to freely roam the plant, assembly line, parts department, service department, and anywhere else you feel like walking into. They are SO KIND and so excited to show you the wonderful things they are doing on current and new models. As a matter of fact, if you are having a coach built, they ENCOURAGE you to show up everyday, and sit on the assembly line in your lawn chair. They want you to see every step they make, and want you to get the full experience. As you sit there, tours are going by, slideouts are moving about above your head, and half built vehicles are being shuffled around at 2 miles an hour. It is amazing to see this. You can then walk into the cabinet shop, and watch them personally make your cabinets and wood fixtures from bare wood to finish. I think this is the only factory left in America that works like this. Even if you are not in the market for an RV, and just want to get your own personal "How its Made" tour of a factory, this is well worth your time to visit. read more

I have a 2005 Tiffin Phaeton with a broken windshield wiper system. The part that is broken is a spline between the wiper motor and the wiper arm. Probably a $2.00 part. I called Tiffin this morning to order a new one. The part is no longer available. On top of that, the woman that I spoke with in the parts department had no idea what I could do to replace it. They noticed that the stair snap (covering battery box) was broken and fixed it on the spot. It took them 5 minutes and I'd struggled with it previously and never did fix it. We are first-time Tiffin owners, and we could not be more pleased with our purchase and the service we have received so far. We had a few concerns that were covered under their structure warranty, and it only took two days for them to go through everything on our list. One of the service managers said he's never seen what happened to the floor of our motorhome before, and he said he would do whatever it took to make it right. He did exactly what he told us: he made it right. The work we had done that wasn't covered under warranty was cost-effective and was quality work. Everyone we have encountered here in Red Bay has been extremely helpful and friendly. If you come to Red Bay, I highly recommend taking the time to do the factory tour to watch the creation of their motor homes. Purchase a ladder for new 2018 Allegro Bus from part departments. The sale persons did get the right ladder but fail to tell you about all the hardware you would need to put it on. If I had not looked at other Tiffin Rv's with ladder I would have not known. Spend 5 hours trying to get all parts need to mount on motor home from part department that was included in price Finally went to service department and they get a 5 star for there help. We have owned a M/H continuously since 1985. This is our 4th M/H. As we have traveled in them since 1985 we have met many M/H owners. Tiffin M/H owners are the only owners that have 100% been VERY SATISFIED & HAPPY with their Tiffin product!! We pre-ordered a Tiffin Phaeton 40IH Motorhome this year before Corona hit, with delivery in early July. When it arrived, there were numerous issues we were surprised would come out of the factory. There were several places with scratches in the interior doors and trim that had been puttied over. One was a large gouge in the underside of the cabinet over our chairs. The dealer said Tiffin was unlikely to replace the whole cabinets and just put a little more putty on, which looked even worse. We also never got several things fixed like a front window night shade with a huge crease in it. We were going to drive all the way to Alabama to Tiffin to try to resolve the issues since our dealer couldnt but Tiffin said its first come first server and that we would be waiting at least 10 days once we got there to even have them look at it. Long story short, we paid more than some houses for this RV and the quality falls way short and is worse than the RV we had before that was 1/3 the price read more

Could have been better. We had so many issues with our Tiffin Allegro from poor heater installation, defective stairs (3 replacements), the heaters malfunctioning in a Montana winter, the dash AC failing during a Texas trip in June, misclocked steering wheel which took 4 repair attempts and so much more. What frustrated us the most was the finger pointing.....The Mike Thompson RV sales dept over sold us. The Mike Thompson RV service failure to repair. The issues with the high pitched noise under load was a Ford chasis issue. I sent pictures, video and receipts to no avail. I even have one email response stating the poorly installed heater bay appeared to look okay to the rep and his manager even though it was not properly installed. It appeared to be everyone else's fault with us the consumer with a MH in the shop more than on the road and with the warranty running out forced to act to limit our damages at a large loss. I did speak to Mr Tiffin twice and was handed over to another person to bring closure. We lost a considerable amount of money and not reimbursed for promised repairs which should have been paid by Tiffin. My recommendation as I shared with whoever would listen---accountability is critical to customer care. I originally bought and paid fully for what I thought was a quality system. What I learned was; there is no single entity willing to be accountable. Without accountability-quality and customer care will suffer. read more

We have the allegro bus and its a fine motorhome compared to most. (I've had 8 others) my biggest complaint is the recommended service centers they list on their site. the two I have used have been rip-offs and mr. tiffin doesn't feel that he needs to back up these places even though their website directs you to these places. One service center spent hours fixing the hot water heater with explicit charges against the tiffing factory for screwing up the wiring. Mr. Tiffin would not back up the issue and after paying outrageous pricing the service center wouldn't back up the work which was not fixed properly. Disappointing experience. read more

We bought a Phaeton in 2014 after selling our home of 22 years, retiring and hitting the road to see the country. In other words, this is our full time home. I LOVE TIFFIN. We heard going to Red Bay would be worth the trip - from Utah - so we took it. After becoming a known face in town, I would agree, Red Bay is worth it. We did the tour, which was a one-of-a-kind-never-to-be-repeated-anywhere tour. It is a one on one with the guys who built your coach. They know every step of it. We had a few things that needed to be checked, so we went to the campground and checked in. It's first come, first serve, so we got in line, were promptly visited by some workers who wanted to see what we needed, and they fixed a few little things while there, then scheduled us. They gave us the name of the scheduling lady, so my husband went and met her. They struck up a friendship and she made sure we got in and out right on schedule, even a little faster as they found we needed something we didn't expect that was big. Then they did it at no charge for customer relations. UNBELIEVABLE!!! We can't say enough good things about Tiffin and their customer service. While there they guys we met told us of some fun places to go like Coon Dog Cemetery (only one in the world) and Rattle Snake Grill and Bar; we went to Tupelo, Elvis' birthplace, and just tooled around the countryside. The folk in Red Bay couldn't be nicer, and when I could understand them and vice versa, we had some fun conversations :) Tiffin Rocks! read more
