The Tiger Sugar hype is real. I've had their drinks at several locations and their signature brown sugar milk with cream mousse and pearls never disappoints. The drink is creamy with a caramel flavor that is not overwhelmingly sweet. The boba pearls are also soft and chewy. I've tried the milk tea version of their signature drink and did not enjoy it nearly as much. The flavor just wasn't as rich. Definitely would recommend sticking to their fan-favorite, especially if this is your first visit. It was 10:45AM on a Monday, and we were told that Tiger Sugar didn't officially open until 11AM. My friend kept telling me about the recent hype this place has been causing on 8th Avenue, and thought now was the best time to give it a go. My same friend waited in line opening day for 2 HOURS to try this drink, and waiting 15 minutes sounded better to me. Not too long after, the line started forming behind us. We would be receipt #1 for the DAY, and we were amazed that once it was 11AM, the line was already out the door, curving towards the corner of the block. I opted for their signature drink that kept flashing on the flat screens of past customers perfect Instagram shots from apparently around the world. There was no tea in this drink, but mostly milk and their famous brown sugar. One of the most satisfying things to do was shake it well, and then take that first sip. That first sip was really satisfying and sweet indulgence. Although that first sip continues to become less and less intense as you get about mid-way, you really come to enjoy this after a while. Definitely worth a try - 100%, but waiting in line for HOURS on end, I think is just utterly ridiculous and insane. "Shake well before you drink" 5 words I waited 45 minutes to hear with $23 entrance fee. Or so to speak. Its creamy full milk mouthfeel at first sip is truly unique. The regular boba paired with tiny and teeny pearls, both made to the softest al dente is a point of difference. Mostly the design is strong and simple. This location is better than flushing! Came to tiger sugar on a Monday afternoon. The line to the cashier was 15 minutes. After ordering, we had to get on another like to wait for our drinks. Total wait time 25 minutes. I ordered the brown sugar black tea with bubbles, brown sugar milk black tea with bubbles and brown sugar milk latte+ boba. The brown sugar black tea was good but I asked for bubbles. My drink didn't come with bubbles. The brown sugar black tea was a bit too sweet. Order it with 75% or 50% sugar. The brown sugar milk black tea tasted like really sweet milk tea. There's a lot of the milk flavor and not much of the tea. The brown sugar milk latte was okay. Not the best. The drink tasted like straight up milk. Sorry not my preference. The customer service was really good. I've been here twice now and the lines have definitely shortened. Wait time have average between 5-10mins after ordering to pick up your drink. It's good bubble tea however it's not life changing. I love the brown sugar series as it gives it a pleasant aromatic sweetness to the tea. The brown sugar cream boba + pearl: Instagram worthy and fun to shake. Very very very creamy and rich. The because of all the milk, the tea taste gets hidden. I did enjoy the variation of boba sizes though. I learned that I actually prefer the pearls than the regular size. But, I feel like it's heavily sweetened. I like the order the brown sugar milk tea with a combination of mini and regular sized bobas. They only offer one size which is around $5.50 for one drink. It is a bit pricey for this drink. The servers are really kind, and they do speak more than one language to try to accommodate everyone's needs. I got there early but their was a line even before they open and the Sun was beaming so the staff was handing out umbrellas to any delicate flowers on line. The counter girl looked at me funny when I only asked for two, because everybody was ordering the max 6. I went for the Brown Sugar Boba + Pearls with Cream Mousse and another for a friend with just Brown Sugar Boba and Milk. The minute I took a slip I could taste warm and cold at the same time, and cream smooth and the brown sugar was real good. I also had sip of the the milk version and well it had the taste but also it was like a glass of milk, My tongue needs more things going on than that. So I was not disappointed that I went to Brooklyn. Pretty good bubble tea. I came on a saturday afternoon, around 130pm. Place just opened up recently so there was expectedly a long line out the door. Waited roughly 30 minutes to get my bubble tea. Tips: 1.Each person on line can only order 6 cups of bubble tea. 2. There is no adjusting sugar levels. Anyway, I got the bubble milk tea with pearls (small boba). It was quite delicious. I am writing this review based on the Grand Opening Week. First of all let me tell you this is the second US location and I'm from LA. I'm actually sad it's not on the West Coast yet. However, I was in NY for the week and wanted to make sure this was on the agenda. To my surprise I found out the weekend I was arriving was the week of their second NY location. I fell in love with Tiger Sugar (TS) in Singapore. It was voted top 10 places to get Brown Sugar Milk Tea. I didn't think a drink would ever affect the way I ate but this relationship is a balance of LOVE and HATE. Love- because the buttery taste of this drink has been perfected like no other boba drink before it. Hate- well ... it's power pact with basically 100% of sugar and all heart attack. So if you read this far, thank you, but heed the warning this has been written in many articles as simply the unhealthiest Asian drink. Just look it up on Google. They are so popular in this all out Asian town filled with umbrellas to protect their ASIAN DONT RAISIN SKIN with shade. They even have umbrellas (limited) for guests to use while they wait (bonus!). Considering this is the opening weekend, they have limited you to 6 drinks per guests. Don't think that people have taken this lightly. They have been all out arguments (I have witnessed this in my short amount time in line). The buzz is real. And the drink is heaven. Today was the grand opening and I waited an hour and 15 minutes. Honestly, the line didn't look that long and I wanted to see what the hype was all about so I endured it. A girl who was in the front of the line fainted because of the heat so just prepare yourself for the wait if you go. Once I was allowed to go inside, I had to wait on another line to order. The drink itself was overrated. It was delicious but not worth the hype. The cream part or the ice seemed to take up majority of the drink so I finished the drink within 5 minutes. It wasn't too sweet or too bland. I picked the one with pearls because a staff member kindly informed me that pearls had smaller bobas among big bobas. Since it was small, it slipped right into my mouth. When you get it, the boba is still hot if you touch the bottom of the drink. If I were to describe the taste, it tastes like grass jelly in evaporated milk that my mom makes. Mind you, she can make two FULL servings (no ice to fill up the bowl) with one can of the milk and jelly so I wouldn't pay 5.50 again to drink this but it was definitely worth the try. My friend and I spent the best part of the day in Borough Park Brooklyn, my first time and we stopped by Tiger Sugar which just open. I ordered the brown sugar boba milk with cream mousse, which was less than $6. The boba had the perfect texture and sweetness, and went well with the milk. Once I shook it up a few times, the brown sugar mixed into the milk and the taste kind of like a sweet milk but not over powering sweetness. They were super nice - all of them - and really helped explain the menu to my mom and I. I admit the last time when we went to Flushing, we just ordered their signature boba, but kind of had no idea what was different about it? Now I know! Boba comes out fairly quickly once you've actually ordered. I think they need to limit the amount that one person can buy. Currently, one person can buy 6, which really holds up the production process. If a group of 3 people each buy 6, that's 18 bobas they have to make. It really holds up the line. It is definitely not the best bubble tea in New York, but probably the best one in Brooklyn. I've been coming here since they first opened because their bubbles are delicious when mixed together (regular and mini bubbles). Unfortunately mixed bubbles is only available if you order the brown sugar milk. I keep coming back for their soft and chewy mixed bubbles. Otherwise, their brown sugar drink is too sugary for me. Their milk tea is adjustable but tea isn't strong enough. They now have a kiosk to limit human interactions and I've seen them clean it too! I LOVE this because they now take Apple pay and I'm the type to always forget my wallet. No worries for the cash people, someone will still be there to assist you. This is hands down my favorite boba place out there! I used to visit the Flushing location multiple times a week. I'm so excited that their second location has more space than the one in Flushing, which was only a stall on the street. I was so excited to learn that a branch opened super close to my house because now I do not need to go all the way to Flushing to get their signature drink. The line has def. gotten a lot shorter since their opening days, they no longer have lines going around the corner, now you can actually line up in the store and place your order. I have noticed that it does seem a little slower getting the orders out as I believe they have less people working to get the drinks out (this was a Friday afternoon tho, not sure how the weekends are as I have not been on a weekend.) Generally, I believe it is about a 30 minutes wait from getting on line and then getting the drink in hand. Overall, I do believe that it is sooo worth the wait. I always order their Brown Sugar Boba and Bubble with Creame Moose. It is absolutely delicious and it has been a mixture of big boba and small bubbles which is really interesting and yummy. They do not allow any adjustments to the drinks, but I found that it is the perfect level of sweetness and their tapoica is absolutely delicious, a bit chewy but not too soft and not too hard. The staff was really nice and answered my friend's questions. It was really quiet in the store and there was no line. I always get the Brown Sugar Boba + Pearl with Cream Mousse (no milk), usually warm. Hubby usually gets the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse, cold. It was worth the hype first two times - delicious rich brown sugar flavor, but the last two times were disappointing - slow service and drinks just tasted like milk tea. Might give them one last shot and if it's still crappy, probably would not return after that. ~ The first two times I had Tiger Sugar, which was in early September, it was absolutely worth the hype. My drink had just the right amount of sweetness and you got that rich brown sugar taste (which is almost like a deep caramel) in every sip, even after mixing it up. The boba and pearls (smaller version of the boba) were soft and chewy. So good that I found myself craving it from time to time. The third time, which was actually the first time I stepped into the shop myself, was incredibly disappointing. Decided to stop in since there was no line outside. Inside, they have a divider with a line on either side. The left side is the line to order, the right is to get your drink(s). The right line isn't really a formal line, but people usually stand on it the same order since the orders are prepped by order #. There were just a few people on line, so ordering didn't take too long. I ordered the: - Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse (first starred item on the menu) for the hubby - Brown Sugar Boba + Pearl with Cream Mousse (second starred item on the menu) for me I haven't been a fan of milk recently (though I am told they use Horizon Organic Milk, which is supposed to be a pretty high quality milk), though there's probably dairy in the mousse cream. Strange that it's the only drink of the top two sections on their menu (brown sugar boba series and brown sugar pearl series) that doesn't have milk. Also strange that it's the only drink that has both boba and pearls (which is a smaller version of the boba bubbles). They have a $10 min for credit cards, so you'd have to order at least two drinks. Most of their brown sugar drinks are $5.50, but they also have brown sugar tea drinks that are $4.50, so you wouldn't be able to get two teas and use your credit card. Waiting for my drinks took forever. They have a number ticket system like the DMV so you can see what order # they're up to. Supposedly they have a 6 drink max per person, but they gave someone an order with 10 drinks or something crazy. There were only three orders in front of me, but I probably ended up waiting 20 mins or something for my drinks - so upset that it took so long since what I thought would be a quick stop actually made me late. What sucked more was that when I finally got the drink, it was not good. They recommend you invert it 15x, but there was no hint of any brown sugar taste, just tasted like milk tea.. and not good milk tea at that. I can't remember if I meant to try it cold or forgot to order it warm, but not sure if the drink being cold made a difference. Thus, I returned a fourth time to try it warm again. The wait was not as long and the drink was better than the last time, but not as good as the first two times. There was a hint of brown sugar but then it disappears, and once again, it's like you're just drinking milk tea (though there's no tea in the drink). Opened this past Saturday and I am very happy that we have one in Brooklyn now! The lines are incredibly long similar to Queens. If you head to the store closer to opening hours before lunch, your wait will be a lot shorter. My absolute favorite drink has both bubbles and little pearls and no tea. Usually I need tea in my boba but this place is the exception. It's way better than Yi Fang around the block. I've been craving Tiger Sugar ever since I got back from Korea. I had it three times because the line and wait time for Tiger Sugar in Korea was quick and efficient. After coming back, I'm so glad to hear that there's a Tiger Sugar in Brooklyn, which is much closer to me than the one in Flushing. This location is also a lot bigger than the one in Flushing. I went on a Tuesday at around 5:15 PM and there were two separate lines--one outside and one inside the store. The line outside wasn't that long when I was there (four people were in front of me), but a couple of minutes later, more people arrived. The weather at the time was beautiful, but I did notice that they had umbrellas in a bucket for those who needed it to stay out of the sun. Once inside the store, the max of drinks per person is 6. I am usually not a big fan of boba tea but there is something about Tiger Sugar that makes me comes back for more! I personally like their Brown Sugar Boba, Pearls Milk and Jelly with Cream Mousse. And they are currently offering a special promotion if you purchase any 3 drinks and the fourth drink is $1 (selections are limited). My only complaint is they do not allow you to customize your drinks. Worth the wait! As of 9/12/2019, the hype has definitely slowed down and the line isn't long at all. I stopped by the past 2 weekends and I've only waited on about a 5 minute line outside, and approximately 15 minute wait inside. My favorite is the brown sugar milk with cream mousse and boba and pearls. I also tried the brown sugar milk latte with cream mousse and boba and didn't like it at all. Stick with the original, most popular here. I was so happy to hear that a new location opened in Brooklyn! (Flushing being like 2 hours away). Anyway, this place is somehow MORE busy than their Flushing location; the wait was like 30 min long when I got there at 11:30 (I guess Sunset Park is more accessible than Flushing to a lot of people). Bubble tea is just as good here, although like I said the wait is pretty long. Definitely worth it though! Highly recommend one of the brown sugar cream mousse drinks. Can't find that brown sugar creaminess anywhere else :) read more

Super fast and efficient service. You can order through an app, kiosk or face-to-face but that option is cash only. I got a oolong with cheese topping. It definitely taste better in Japan but this version was pretty tasty. The tea definitely needs to be stronger and the cheese was a little too salty (but with a stronger tea that wouldn't matter at all). Overall if you're around these parts this is a decent spot to pop in real quick. read more

I was scared of coming here at first Becuase I knew I'd have to wait on long lines for the drink. Since I had time today, I decided to go and surprisingly I got my drink in less than 10 minutes despite the amount of people in line waiting for a drink. The drink is great. In my opinion, the only difference between this drink and regular bubble milk tea is that it tastes more milky and it's sweeter. read more

I've wanted to try a Tiger Sugar drink ever since the days of hour plus lines at their various NYC locations. Now with corona they have instituted an ordering kiosk and pickup window, with a little counter to let you know what orders are ready to pick up. I went with the classic brown sugar boba with mousse and man was it tasty!! Will definitely return again for more tea and to try a drink with their signature jelly! read more
