Ordered their brown sugar boba and mango tapioca and there was a special off the menu promotional where we got complementary pudding. Both drinks were good and were promptly made but the star was the complementary pudding which had a crème brûlée like top! Since it's right by H Mart, I'll definitely be back

Came here on a Wednesday to get some black sugar boba with brown milks. The boba was pretty standard and slightly hard, and the milk didn't seem that fresh. Even though I got 70% sugar, it was still on the sweet side (probably hence the name of the spot!). However, the staff were amazing and quick. They also gave free custards, which stole the show!

This place right here is amazing! From the customer service down to the drink itself, everything was impeccable. The cashier was patient with us since we were indecisive about what we wanted, but in our defense everything looked good. He gave us insight on what the most popular drinks were, which didn't help at all because once again, everything looked so good. Ultimately we chose #10 and whichever one had the pudding in it. The #10 was sweet and not overwhelmed by chocolate chips. I will definitely be back to try another tea.

Tiger Sugar, close to H-Mart in Cary, has some of the creamiest & best-looking brown sugar milk drinks you can find in the Triangle, NC. Tiger Sugar is a milk tea chain based in Taiwan, the birthplace of boba milk tea, and although they're aggressively expanding globally, this is currently the only Tiger Sugar in North Carolina. In our 2nd visit, I asked the barrista what he'd recommend, and he recommended the fifth brown sugar boba milk in the menu: the one with the pudding. My girl ordered the first option: brown sugar boba milk (50% less ice). Total cost was about $15+ for both drinks, about the same as what we usually spend for 2 milk tea drinks in most cafes. There was only 1 employee visible at that time, doing both cashier & barrista work, but he was approachable and simply explained recommendations well. My girl and I were the only customers there, and both drinks were served fast, only giving us a few minutes to glance around the cafe's dead ambiance. But don't let Tiger Sugar's dreadful ambiance turn you off; the brown sugar milk drinks served here taste creamier, more flavorful, and more attractive than pretty much most milk tea cafes with more inviting ambiance in the Triangle NC. Both our brown sugar milk drinks look so rich & indulgent with its "tiger stripes" of caramel streaking the insides as the syrup is mixed with the creamy milk. According to Tiger Sugar's website, they use a proprietary 8-hour method for cooking their syrups and tapioca pearls, and we can taste the difference. I could taste the sweet brown sugar syrup and creamy milk on every sip, and the texture of the tapioca pearls and the rich pudding are perfect. The pudding is flan-like with caramel taste, which reminded me of the pricey but amazing caramel pudding in Brecotea. Took a sip of my girl's brown sugar milk with boba & some kind of jelly topping; its taste is similar to what I ordered, so it's good but not as good as the one with pudding. Our only complaint would be that the amount of ice in both our drinks were a bit much to our preference. Wish Tiger Sugar has a kiosk for customers to adjust the drinks' ice and sugar levels to our liking, like how Feng Cha in Moorisville does it instead of having to tell the barrista our preferences for drinks. Other drinks in the menu also look so delicious - and it helps that they have photos of them for customers who prefer visuals when deciding what to order, and I've never seen such a stacked menu for premium milk teas. The overwhelmingly diverse selection of milk drinks & flavored teas wil give milk tea enthusiasts more reasons to return, and I'll likely share an updated review after we try their other delicious drinks. They also have fried Taiwanese snacks like popcorn chicken available; it doesn't match the quality of the popcorn chicken inside Love Bao's inside its neighboring H-Mart, but it's not bad as a crispy snack. The major issue that's holding me back from giving Tiger Sugar a 5-star rating is its terrible ambiance; many of us, milk tea enjoyers would love to enjoy our beverages in a cafe with an inviting ambiance. It's part of the overall milk tea experience. Nonetheless, it still made it to my "Best Milk Tea Cafes in The Triangle NC" Yelp Collection - https://bit.ly/bestmilkteaNC Overall Score: 4.3/5

Haiku: Tiger Sugar Famous Taiwan spot Warm ribbons of brown sugar Make sure you shake, shake. --- It's about time that I finally tried Taiwan's famous Tiger Sugar boba drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious and decadent. - #5 Black sugar boba & pudding milk with cream mousse: A luxurious dessert-like drink. The warm ribbons of brown sugar adorned this Instagrammable cup. Make sure you shake it to distribute the brown sugar syrup throughout the drink. Generous pieces of pudding milk and cream mousse made this drink creamy. I'm glad I chose less sugar, because it was sweet enough between the boba, pudding, and mousse. The boba was also perfectly chewy (not hard) and slightly sweet. - #F1 Tiger mango sago: Not your typical mango sago drink. I was pleasantly surprised by this drink and all its toppings and textures. I want to say there were even the unexpected aloe bits? Too bad the menu doesn't list what's inside. Either way, I'd order this drink again. - Popcorn chicken: Your typical well-seasoned popcorn chicken. I also enjoy eating the basil crisps. Service was good. The staff answered all my questions. I'd definitely come back for more!

Nice little tea and boba place right next to H-mart. Staff very friendly and their traditional black tea boba is one of the better ones in Cary. Not seeing much to not recommend here.

Came here today to try out this boba shop. I ordered the Black Sugar Boba + Mochi with Creme Mousse, Tiger Mango Sago, Popcorn Chicken, and Fries. Starting with the drinks, the Black Sugar Boba was really good--sweet but not too much, and the Tiger Mango Sago was equally refreshing and delicious. The Popcorn Chicken tasted great, nice and crispy, but the Fries were unfortunately pretty bland. Also, the seating situation could use an upgrade. It's pretty limited, so it's hard to find a spot to sit and enjoy your food. Lastly, the prices felt a bit too high for what you get. I'd come back for the drinks, but not sure it's worth the price for the full experience.

#1 most popular brown sugar boba milk!

I came to their soft opening today! The boba was incredible!! So warm and sugar-coated. And way smaller than the boba pearls at other shops. I prefer it this way. The drinks also come out fantastic. I can't have boba tea past 12 anyway so the boba milk was a nice change of pace. Service was fast even tho lines were long. I only had to wait maybe five or six minutes for my drink. Ambiance is nice, just not much seating!

    Anny S.

Everything I tried here from the big crispy chicken cutlet to the boba was great. Theres little to no seating here. The order came out quick. Although the price for one chicken cutlet is over priced. You can get a meal out of one chicken cutlet elsewhere.

My daughter convinced me to try this place. She loves boba and got the black sugar boba with coffee jelly and said it's a 9/10. I don't care for boba much but got the black sugar coffee latte and it wasn't too sweet (which I like) but there was too much boba in it for me. I also ordered the Taiwan popcorn chicken and fries. It was good but I felt the fry to chicken ratio was off. They gave a lot more fries compared to the chicken.

I am usually not a fan of brown sugar milk boba however this was my second time trying Tiger Sugar and honestly this experience was much better than the first. The brown sugar milk tea is definitely a nice change from getting regular milk teas. There was a perfect balance of sweetness, not overly sweet and not underly sweet at all! The bubbles itself were warm and easy to chew and the milk really balanced out the sweet bubbles.

    Emily T.

Great location right next to hmart. The chicken was super big and juicy. My husband and I were able to split it. The sweet chili is really sweet so probably would try their powder flavors next time. The matcha was not the best but the boba was great. I just don't think their specialty is the matcha so next time I would get their more popular flavors.

This was my second time getting tiger sugar after trying it in Philly. Tiger sugar does one thing really well, chewy warm boba. But I wouldn't really call it bubble tea because their most popular options advertised are boba milks: just boba and milk, no tea. While they do have some tea options, none of them stood out particularly to me. It's a treat that's fun to get every once in a while, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I also went during the soft opening, and like other tiger sugar locations, the line was out the door. I was impressed with the fast service, and it seems like most people were able to get their drinks within 10-15 min even with a 20+ people line. If you order from Chunky Boss, the in house chicken cutlet shop, then your wait might be a bit longer. The shop itself only had 3 full size tables and a standing bar area, not enough space to sit and hang out. In terms of Chunky Boss, I was very unimpressed with the quality of the food. First of all, the popcorn chicken I got was cold. The chicken cutlet however was hot, but the breading was not crispy and just fell off the chicken meat. The meat itself was moist, but the seasoning was a little on the sweet side. I definitely have had better chicken at other bubble tea shops in the triangle. Overall, exciting new addition to the triangle boba scene albeit maybe a little gimmicky. They do a great job with the boba, but I'd definitely skip the food there next time!

The latte was smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, just enough vanilla to complement the coffee. The Cragel was every bit as delicious as its reputation suggests: warm, chewy, flaky, and generously filled with cream cheese. A perfect coffee, a scrumptious Cragel, and ideal patio weather--what more could you ask for? This is exactly the kind of local gem that keeps me coming back.

It was very crowded there's not a lot of seating inside, they do have outside sitting. I did like how the inside looked and they had their pastries out front. I couldn't tell what to order and spent a few minutes trying to figure the menu out without getting overstimulated by the time I could even think about asking questions they had a really big line. I ended up ordering a medium cappuccino which I know see from other reviews that my disappointment was not just me. we did get a waffle croissant thing which was not bad. It tasted stale. So it was a bit tougher and chewier or I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be ? I'm sure if it was fresh it would have been better. My daughter ended up getting a fruit smoothie and a hello kitty looking Madeline that was banana flavored she really liked that. There are no prices on the things that aren't at their coffee station area. I did ask the guy up front that it was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to get, he just stared at me. Didn't say anything. And then corrected me when I asked for the waffle thing. Soo.. there's that. So I guess come here if you know what you want. Or come during non less busy hours. We only came by because it was across the street from our therapy appointment. But left more disappointed.. and I spent $22 with tip. Not even sure what I paid for or the prices it all happened so fast. So go here don't go here. We will probably try another place.

This particular morning, I knew I wanted to stop by Trader Joe's afterward, but they weren't open yet. So I pulled up the map looking for a coffee shop where I could get a little coworking done. Thousand Hills Coffee popped up, and it had been on my "need to try" list for a while. I also shot my buddy KH a quick text to see if he wanted to join me and catch up on our latest ultra running training shenanigans. Thankfully, he was game. I rolled in around 8:30 a.m. and managed to grab a decent parking spot. Worth mentioning because the coffee shop shares parking with the apartment complex next door, so I imagine spaces can disappear quickly. KW arrived a few minutes before me and had to park a bit farther away. Walking inside, I immediately liked the vibe. It feels modern but still cozy, almost like someone's really well-designed living room. There are several distinct seating areas, plenty of soft chairs, a long community table, and even bar seating overlooking the baristas. It struck a nice balance between coffee shop and comfortable workspace. Since I'd already knocked out my morning run, I was ready for a little breakfast. KH and I both ordered the cheese, Danish. It looked huge in the display case, though it shrank a bit once it made it onto the plate. That said, it was really flavorful and definitely worth ordering. I also grabbed a regular drip coffee, which was excellent. My timing was amusing because they had just finished the last pot and were brewing a fresh one, but honestly, getting a fresh cup probably worked out for the best. We grabbed chairs next to the long community table instead at the table since the morning sun was already heating things up. We spent a while catching up, talking running, races, and all the usual endurance athlete nonsense. After KH headed out, I relocated to the long table that was in the shade and spent another hour or so catching up on emails and getting a little work done. It turned out to be a great co-working spot with plenty of room to spread out without feeling like you were taking up space. One last shoutout to the staff, who were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Good coffee is one thing, but great people always make the experience better. Overall, I came away impressed. Somehow, they've been open for about two years, and I'm honestly not sure how they managed to stay off my radar for so long. Safe to say they'll be making it into my regular rotation whenever I need a good cup of coffee and a comfortable place to get some work done.
