I use to like cha house! I always got one of their matcha drinks but yesterday's matcha was not good! I asked for more matcha since my drink had zero matcha flavor and they gave me more but even with that it seem like the matcha that day was off.... so they offered me another drink instead. The staff was super helpful but now I will be hesitant on ordering anything matcha as it seems the matcha quality is not the same as it use to be. I would not recommend the matcha here but their other drinks or food are good to try. read more

Our friend recommended this place and we enjoyed Tiger tea and pop corn chicken it last time. Tiger tea was good but still a bit sweet even with 25% digest. So we decided to come again and tried online order for Tiger dirty tea and thai chili popcorn chicken. The chili popcorn is great. Tiger dirty tea is perfect with a bit of brown sugar. Went in last week and it was a totally different vibe...sterile feeling and hard to even have a conversation with friends because they were blasting the music so loud. Checked out the Cha House a while ago through a Yelp event and was planning to go back at some point as I really liked it! And I see why I did, Cha House's menu and service are great! I was a little overwhelmed by the number of options but was able to narrow it down to their cold teas. The strawberry sounded lovely, so I went with that! I like that there is an option to select the amount of sugar and ice. I went with 25% sugar and light ice and it was delicious! With less sugar, it still had a ton of flavor. When it was brought out to me, it came with such a sweet smile and greeting from the staff. It really made my day. Add to this the cool music and chill atmosphere. This place brought me nostalgia of my university days back in Montréal. This was the kind of place where I used to study or met up for school projects. We would drink boba, order food and work. I have been to this place numerous times and everything is like the first time meaning their food, service and atmosphere never changed. My kids would beg to go here after a taekwondo tournament. My son and I are dinner at the hotpot place a couple doors down. They get their tea from here. My son enjoyed his so much that we didn't to find them after dinner. The inside was so cute, clean and bright. It kind of reminds me of the high end places a lot of "influencers" frequent for TikTok or IG content. They young lady working the register was very sweet. I ordered a passion fruit tea with lychee and no boba. It tasted great. Right near the register thy have a flyer of some popular drinks. Cha House is a cute little spot. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after a hike and it was pretty busy. I went with the strawberry matcha and it was delicious. The strawberry portion is sweet so when mixed with the matcha, it creates a perfect balance of sweetness and earthy matcha. Where to begin? The service was good. But... My daughter and I ordered black milk tea half sugar lite ice. Her's included boba. It was like we were drinking two different things altogether (she spent the first 8 years of her life in Taiwan and I gave 11 years). More importantly, we've been with Cha House from the start. We know tea and we know the product line. These resemble neither. What happened??? Mine was ice water that while being burned had dreams about tea leaves and a cow dancing in a field. It neither tasted convincingly like tea or milk, nor that beautiful place the two meet. My daughter's was no better but it was different because the boba was at the very least good. The hidden gem, the Cha House pork chop that Taiwanese friends and family boldly claim has no match in Taiwan: is gone. Replaced with an American lookalike: why on earth is it sweet? Seriously, why! One thing the trip had going for it was rice being Asian. Probably the best part but it lacked the former ground meat and juice that makes it all the better. Add to that you have to eat it out of a paper box like Amazon dropped it off. What happened to the bowls???? There is still a good tea house in Chapel Hill and that's not far from where we live. read more

Cha house is probably my favorite boba shop in the triangle. I like to stop here when I'm in Cary. Taro is usually my go-to flavor but I switched things up this time and went for the dirty tiger. The dirty tiger is a brown sugar boba so it is probably the sweetest flavor on the menu. I like to order my boba as it comes with regular ice and 100% sugar. If it's too sweet, then I'll know to adjust it next time. The boba pearls are the perfect soft and chewy texture. Cha house is such a great spot to catch up with friends. This is a gem!! Hidden away in the corner of a nondescript shopping center is the little gem of a tea house. Cha House has some unique Taiwanese eats that Are hard to find in the triangle as well as some excellent teas. I've been here a couple of times before but the teas & bubble egg waffles were so good that I never had a chance to take pics before they were all eaten. I finally managed to catch a poor pathetic pic of it to post. The teas are excellent and freshly made. Not all jasmine teas are the same. My jasmine green cap tea was made with a very fragrant & strong jasmine green tea which was topped with a cheese cap. The cap adds a nice slightly savory and rich component to the lightly sweetened tea. The Fireworks tea is a wonderful passion fruit green tea with both boba & lychee jelly. It was full of flavor. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the boba. It was either sitting too long or overcooked since it was more mushy when it should be bouncy & chewy. We also ordered a pork chop rice plate that has a five spice scented fried pork chop, tea marinated egg & steamed broccoli. It was a pretty generous portion and had excellent flavor. The egg waffle was freshly made and scented with vanilla. It was dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of syrup. Note to future self, next time, keep the box open to let the steam out so the waffle stays crispy. It was very hot & we left the box shut so got a soggy waffle. It was still delish as you can tell. The space is small but tastefully decorated with pastel colors and flowers. It's a cozy place to hang out with friends or family. Service was very friendly and efficient as well. There are also some outside tables...perfect for people watching. Highly recommend Cha House when you need to take a needed break from shopping at the neighboring stores. read more

The tea flavor is so fresh and strong and then Thai tea ice cream is just so different and yummy. Other items that I have bought were the bubble waffles and a classic milk tea. The bubble waffle was delicious, and I would even eat it on its own without the toppings. It is definitely a treat after a long day! Inside is especially cute for photos, studying, or hanging out with friends. I hope to try their snacks/food the next time I visit. My order was ready in about two minutes (a Wednesday evening). It wasn't busy or loud inside. There are picnic tables outside, too. My drink was creamy, not too sweet, tasted fresh and was wonderfully cold (I like drinks to be either really hot or really cold.)! I swear they have magic ice because it hadn't melted at all when I got home - at least 45 minutes after I received it. I had a taro tea from a similar place last week and can say this spot was better. I'll visit again to be adventurous and try something new. read more

I love this Cha House location, it's so bright and airy! Tucket away towards the end of the plaza, before Aldi it's easy to find and park. The menu is super clearly laid out and they have so many great drinks and snacks to choose from. On this visit I went with a strawberry milk tea with boba and the popcorn chicken. Both were tasty! I highly recommend you check out their popcorn chicken if you are in the mood for a snack. They fry it up fresh and it's the perfect afternoon pick me up. The boba was perfect and the brown sugar flavor definitely comes through in every bite. They have a few tables outside and quite a few inside that are blocked off for now due to COVID. All employees were wearing masks and it felt very safe in there. My only suggestion is to have online ordering available to make the process a bit quicker! read more

It seems I'm crushing on Taiwanese tea joints lately. This week in the Triangle Park area, I've been to Boba Baba, Brecotea and now this Cha House...all Taiwanese, I think? Again, think it has to do with its subtley sweet, distinctive flavor. Also, love the cool, sleek ambiance of these tea cafes. Cha House reigns supreme in terms of prettiness. The place is so flowery!! Granted, it's not as big and spacious as the other Taiwanese tea joints I've been to lately, but prettiest. Here, I decided to try their Taro-Matcha Green Milk Tea with Bubbles...and again, I stand amazed! OMG...can Bubble Teas get any better?!? I also tried their Egg Waffles...and again, OMG!! (I was disappointed that it wasn't in a cone...but I can only guess that it was one of their Covid-safety measures??) Charlotte needs to up their game in Bubble Teas. My go to!!! The best popcorn chicken and pork rice plates. Meat is very tender and flavorful. Fry is light and crisp and white pepper comes through. I get the oolong milk tea with 50% sweetness. Since moving here, we've been trying all the different boba places in the area, and this is definitely a good place to go to. We ordered the kimchi pancakes which were delicious, the sauce that it came with was a little too salty though. We were pleasantly surprised that there was egg and cheese in the pancake too which was so satisfying. We also split the egg waffle, which was soft and just the right amount of sweet. To drink, I had the strawberry matcha milk tea with pudding and boba which was the perfect combination. My wife had the taro milk tea with a cheese cap. She really liked the subtle sweetness of the tarp and the creaminess of the cheese cap. The cheese cap here isn't as thick or sweet as some others and it was the perfect complement to the taro. The atmosphere is super cute and the restaurant is making an effort to be more sustainable with their straws and boxes. Definitely worth checking out! read more

To echo everyone, I love Cha House! I haven't made it to the Chapel Hill location, but I have been to this Cary location quite a few times, and each visit has been wonderful! My favorite drink of their is Pink Lady, which is a limeade with strawberry puree. I love fruity, citrusy drinks so it is really the perfect drink for me! They have very extensive menu, and their coffee drinks use Joe Van Gogh coffee. What I love about Cha House is that they also have food! My experience with Taiwanese Food is limited to Love Bao Taiwanese Kitchen inside H-Mart, but I was excited to find similar rice plates at Cha House. In my opinion, this makes for a perfect friend hang out---meet up for lunch and stay for drinks! In addition to Joe Van Gogh, they work with other small business owners such as Cheesecake by Alex and Little Blue Macaron. Love seeing local businesses collaborate with each other! The decor inside is super cute, and they have a good amount of seating indoors. They have outdoor seating as well if you do not feel comfortable dining/drinking in. I have personally sat outside each time I went and have felt safe. Of course, you can get everything to go as well. I know I'll continue to return to Cha House Cary! read more

I usually order the classic milk tea or the jasmine milk tea. The tea flavor is weak overall. Sometimes you can taste the milk and sometimes you can't. This is one of my favorite boba places in Triangle. During my first visit, I had a trouble finding Cha House. It's tucked right next to Aldi in the middle of the shopping center, and if you are driving around to find it, you may miss it like I did. Their bubble tea is on point. No need to mention that part ;) I seriously love their seasonal drinks. Last couple times I visited, I got Matchajito and OH MAN, it hits the spot! I'm a sucker for matcha, and I'm OK with mojito. But combining them two and making a drink? That's one genius move. I need to try the rest of the boba on the menu, but I keep going back to Matchajito. I'm also excited to try other seasonal drinks as the weather changes over time. Also Cha House here sells small bites/food food. I love the various options they give on type of food (+ size options: meal vs. snack). I've tried Chili Thai Chicken, Green Onion Pancakes, and Fried Tofu. Yum, they are were all good, but Green Onion Pancakes stole my heart. They have pretty outdoor/indoor seating areas for you to hang around after getting food.
