Walked in and was promptly and warmly greeted. The ambiance is clean and minimalistic. Very typical of a boba shop. I ordered the fresh grapefruit green tea, double boba, 30% sweet. In less than 5 mins my order was out and made perfectly. The drinking was bursting with bright grapefruit flavor from the freshly squeezed juice. The first time I've been to Tiger Tea was about almost 2 years ago and personally I think their boba milk tea is OK. I wanted to try again and I ordered their taro milk tea. The boba topping is good - it was warm and has a nice chew texture. Unfortunately I did not like the flavor of the taro. One sip I tasted it but later on it was just a letdown. You just taste more of the milk and it was just a weird aftertaste. Would I try Tiger Tea again? I'm on the fence but next time I'd try their fruit tea and see if it's any good. Wonderful bubble tea with a wide selection. I zipped over to Tiger Tea after shopping at Marshall's and placed a to-go order. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon, but the line moved quickly. I opted for the Milk Tea + Taro - large size, with double boba. The folks behind the counter were very patient as they explained what boba tea was to some first-time guests. They managed to move the line fairly quickly in spite of some customers not knowing what they wanted It took less than ten minutes for my drink to come out, which was faster than expected. The sweetness level was just right and the boba was cooked to the right consistency (slightly chewy). Very tasty! I also took advantage of using their single-stall restroom and it was MUCH nicer than the other options available at the time. So, I would absolutely recommend popping right over to this place in the middle of your day of shopping/errands. read more

This small spot in a a strip mall has mostly Boba Teas and smoothies. It has a limited selection of pastries. The staff is friendly and efficient. I like the variety of boba's, not just flavors but they have the chewy and popping kind. I prefer the popping ones because of the flavor burst. My kids say the chewy ones have more flavor. And I should realize it earlier that they don't have the star item in the menu!) I believe that it was the 2nd official boba shop that opened in Winston-Salem, the first being Momo Ashi (the fake boba shops in downtown don't count). They're known for their "WOW" milk tea drinks, but honestly, I'm not sure what makes them different than a regular milk tea found at any other boba shop. In my opinion, I prefer the boba tea at Tiger Tea than compared to Moma Ashi, but I'm willing to give Momo Ashi another try and will report back here afterwards. I understand the need for businesses to adjust their pricing; however, it's equally imperative to display your prices accurately. I ordered the Brown Sugar Boba, Large. The price on the store's board is $5.50. At the checkout the cashier says, $6.96. Wait. What. I questioned it. The cashier picks up a To Go menu off the counter to verify the price I suppose. I then repeated the price, $6.96 & she says, yes. I'm now thinking NC must have increased sales tax big time! well, until I reviewed the receipt. The price listed wasn't $5.50 but $6.50! I picked up the menu, $6.25 (now realizing why the cashier didn't refer me to that menu either). NO menu in this establishment had the current price, and they aren't proactively telling customers. I brought this to the attention of the manager, but to my surprise he was already aware. He thanked me for my opinion. I kindly clarified, it's not my opinion. It's fact, your current prices should be available & prominently displayed for customers. No one would think otherwise. He attempted to reimburse me .50, but his math didn't make cents. I left, leaving the change on the counter. The moral of this story is to be proactively transparent or be viewed as deceptive. I support small business, but I'd find it difficult to patronize here again. read more

Been here a few times and the tea is always very good and fresh tasting! The parking lot where this place is located has got lots of parking but does not necessarily give a safe feeling. Yes! Keep the boba shops coming! Another new Boba shop opened up recently in Winston & I had to check it out! In the shopping center where kickback jacks is & Marshall's across from Hanes Mall. This is a great spot to draw in business. So outside the shop there's a boba(so cute) inside is very clean & has nice decor. I came in mid day on a Tuesday so it's not busy & it seems there's only one lady working here. I understand the shortage so I'm not timing her, but she was FAST! Two people were in front of me & two people came in after. The boba is good! Not hard not too chew y! It was perfect. I tried the Brown sugar boba with Oreo taro! Yumm!
