I visited Columbus last week for a few days and I cannot stop thinking about Tigertree! I think any time I go to Columbus It'll be a MUST to come to this store. Why do I love it so much? They have so many cute clothes and knickknacks. It reminds me of Urban Outfitters in terms of what they have to offer but probably for someone a tad older. The workers were really friendly and helped with any questions that I had. If I didn't need gas and road trip $$ I would've spent the rest here. One does not simply walk by Tigertree without going in. The front itself is very interesting looking, and once you go in you'll reallize what a super nifty place it is. Great for buying gifts for about anyone. You're not going to find cheap stuff here [the clothes prices are a bit cray] but the other items are okay, anything from paper wallets to vintage tennis racquets. Be sure to bring quarters: A highlight for me is always their button-yielding-egg laying chicken machine they have upstairs. You never know what sort of interesting scene will be on it, and a fun and TOTALLY WORTH IT way to spend 25 cents. read more

I didn't feel quite cool enough to enter Tigertree, but I walked in anyway on the advice of another Short North business owner. Once inside, I still didn't feel quite cool enough to be there. I can say that everything was ultra cool. Most of their merchandise was the sort that makes you say "oh, I could make that." Then you think about it for a few more minutes, and you realize that you're an idiot for even imagining such a thing. This stuff is beautiful. You might have made your own coasters from vinyl record centers, but you certainly can't make belt buckles out of children's books or bowls out of magazines. But I digress. I think Tigertree has some of the most original and cute ideas. Besides great clothing, they have really unique jewelry (like a sterling silver Ohio shaped pendant on a silver chain - made by a local artist), and cute home decor and accessories. They also have the Ray Ban Wayfarers. I have been eyeing these Ray Ban Wayfarers for awhile now. I finally told myself that I would buy them with this past paycheck. Welp, being clocked going 85 in a 65 in Marion, Ohio put a quick end to that dream. $110 later from the speeding ticket, I knew that the Wayfarers were off my list. While I was VERY tempted, I had to resist. At least I know they will be there waiting for me! This is by far one of my favorite shops in Short North...If they would just lower their prices on a few of the items, they would for sure be 5 stars!!! read more

To be honest I don't remember much about Tigertree when I stopped in during Gallery Hop. Nothing there really impressed me- clothing! It was okay clothing, a bit hip for my tastes I guess, but there you have it. What I really remember about this place was the belt buckles. So many! A lot of them are big squares filled with artwork clipped from actual book covers. Some pulpy, some childish, they're pretty much perfect and I think I want one. I haven't had a big belt buckle in a long time but I love 'em. Just love 'em. So while I might not be doing much actual clothing shop at a clothing shop this unmemorable, I'm going back for a belt buckle or two. read more

Better than Urban Outfitters, hands down. I was able to choose some fun presents (for myself X-D) from Tigertree's diverse inventory of ... stuff. :-) There you can find new clothes, cute accessories, some curios, and just all-around-cool *stuff*. :-D Tip: Head upstairs and seek out the coin machine with the chicken decoy and plastic eggs. This store is basically my Pinterest board come to life! I had so much trouble shopping here because I wanted to buy EVERYTHING. Fun gifts for your quirky friends, sarcastic lapel pins, one of a kind clothes, handbags with fringe, printed socks...Tigertree is my dream store! It's a little pricey, but the quality is high and everything is extremely well-curated. I ended up scoring the cutest striped dress ($27) and a pair of embroidered Levi's ($56) from the sale rack in the back. I live out of town, so I'm going to have to rely on their website until the next time I can head back to Columbus. read more

Great little place here. They always have something of interest: a hat, a stylish tape measure or a nice shirt. Their selection is eclectic but interesting. Their prices could be a little lower but they are in the Short North on High. My only complaint is that they need to keep their sale rack clear of non-sale items. Since there are only 15-20 in total it seems like they should be able to do this. read more

I ordered from the website and received an item that was not the same as advertised. It was a different model of a similar item. I contacted someone via email and was told I would be sent return information. After sending two more emails and trying to call, I never received any information on how to return the item. I've only used their website to order and as an online shopper only, I can't rave enough about my experience. The ease of navigating, the eye appealing appearance and the quick response to my order makes this one of my favorite places to online shop. They've kept me updated by email on every step my order has gone through, including when it will be delivered. What a great experience! I found this company online and ordered a dress. I was a little annoyed at first bc after my initial order confirmation email I never got a shipping update. When I emailed customer service I got a very quick response from the store owner - it turned out that I had missed an email from them that told me the color/size combo of the dress I ordered was out of stock. I was given different options but was hesitant to order another color/size without being able to try them on. After multiple emails back and forth, one of the store employees similar in size (I had sent them my measurements to guesstimate the best size) tried on both a small and a medium and gave me her opinions of how they fit... all this effort on their part was for a measely $30.00 dress. This store is what my dreams look like. It's amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. I started shopping here bc of the " chicken pin machine" and couldnt be more happy I did. My first experience with this shop was when they first opened as a little closet of a place on Russell east of High Street just a block north of the cap. At that time they carried mostly menswear and accessories. I visited the new location yesterday as I was in the market for a new coat and thought they might have something decent. As I walked in the owner was genuinely friendly and informed that all Free People clothing was 20%...of course. I always get bamboozled by that line because this line is almost always found in the clearance section of bigger stores from Urban Oufitters to TjMaxx...the styles are trendy without going over the top but unless you dry clean, which you shouldn't need to with cotton sundresses the rags simply fall apart. The women's selection seemed to be dominated by Free People knits overpriced even with the additional discounts. The stand out for me is the jewelry case on the left hand wall. They have some really unique pieces at a good price (silver state of OH shaped necklaces for $30 owl rings in several colors and materials $22). I had fun poking around that stuff. Most of the clothes are housed in old wardrobe chests which is cool, surrounded by old library books which held my attention longer than the clothes, and other accessories (old cameras and knick knacks) most of which I couldn't tell if they were for purchase or strictly ornamental. I guess I didn't care enough to ask. Due to the limited stock this seems like the kind of store that turns over quickly so I might stop again because I got the feeling you never know what you might find. read more

One of my favorite shops on the Short North, I seem to always find something here. It's sort of like an Urban Oufitters, minus all the offensive advertising and controversy. You can definitely find tons of quirky gifts here, as well as a nice little stationary and card section (my favorites are the Rifle Paper Co. items). Of course, the main event is the clothing and accessories. I especially like their jewelry pieces. They even have children's toys. On my most recent visit, I found out they have a rewards program that gives you points for shopping there. Lastly, don't miss the clucking chicken in the back which offers a small prize encased in an egg for a mere $.25. Tigertree is a locally owned store that packs a lot of personality.... don't forget to check out the 2nd floor! read more

The store's inventory is great! Desired labels + local business = awesome!!!! I nabbed a great new carry-on bag and plan on making return trips to this hipster haven. Tigertree has an AMAZING clothing and accessories selection and is located in one of the city's best neighborhoods. every time I walk by this place I see a cute dress in the window that I want to buy. once, I did end up buying it, but then because I am on a grad student budget, I wasn't able to eat for a month. okay, not really. but I did have that sort of guilt. the store is absolutely lovely on the inside, very nicely organized and decorated to fit with the style of the clothes and items they sell. the owner/shopkeeper was very friendly, and thank goodness there were not hovering salespeople or I would have felt very strange windowshopping for items I could not afford. basically, the clothing is what Urban Outfitters would be if they sold clothing that was meant to last more than three washings, and could be worn to work in a fairly professional setting. read more

I like Tigertree. I went in looking for a shirt. They were priced a little outside of what I was looking for, and the style wasn't really my thing. However, I'm a huge fan of design, and I like their taste. From "crack and grow" Egglings (miniature herb gardens grown in a (ceramic?) egg), to recycled paper picture frames and flower pots, and belt buckles made from old books. I took my time rummaging through the carefully selected imports for about 20 minutes before rushing out to find the shirt I was looking for. read more

If you're an Ohio native or a frequent visitor like me you probably already know that Columbus' Short North district is your best shot at getting a decent bite, a well made coffee, or finding some good shopping. Yeah there's Gallery Hop, there's High Street Tattoo, and there's plenty of crafty stores in the area- but cute shops for trendy clothes and baubles are a bit more rare. Tigertree has a great selection of men and women's clothing-ranging from kick ass affordable finds to a few big ticket small collection pieces. Lots of stuff from smaller 'local' companies, though not all from Ohio (many from you guessed it, Brooklyn!) can be found amongst the Tuelle, Obey, and Ben Sherman collections. Perhaps the best part about this place for a New Yorker are the crazy good prices. Most of the pieces I've bought there I'd expect to find at least at a 100% markup back home. Tigertree is my honey-hole for NYC styles at Midwest prices. Added bonus, the regular shop guy (owner?) is super cute and I've seen them serve cookies and coffee on more than one wintery visit. read more

This store deserves more credit than it gets. Yes, its expensive but you are truly buying a one of a kind item. Its also unique in that you never feel not cool enough to shop there. I first went in because the blog they publish was sarcastic, funny and down to earth. Moved from its hidden alley location to a deserved High Street shop I am glad for its more visual location. The owners are so nice and helpful, never judgemental. If you don't buy anything they will still personally say goodbye to you as you leave the store. Bonus points for the owners dogs that are shy and hide in their " cave " behind the counter. Tigertree has unique items. The belt buckles are definitely the main thing, but they also have wallets made from old children's books and other vintage reading materials. My boyfriend bought a shaving kit purely because of its Asian writing and sweet case it came in. When I hit it big I am going in for the jewelery. While not more than five or six pieces each necklace was like art on a string. I am not super label conscious but I know enough to appreciate the brands they sell. Priced to go with the fancy label they are worth it if you want to wear something that won't be redundant as you sit in the bars. Really nice staff, dogs, and unique items make Tigertree one of the coolest shops on the High Street strip. read more

This is certainly one of my favorite shops in Columbus. They have quite a selection of Fred Perry and Ben Sherman. And they also have a lot of these cute overpriced things, like a rabbit shaped shopping bag for 24 dollars. They have ties, watches and also great selection of Toms. The owner is also really nice, he always give discounts! Well, i always asked for the discount (i know.. i'm cheap). But because the place is so small, the turnover is kinda low so you might see the same stuff over and over again. But they do have great sales. I once found a Fred Perry polo for $30. read more

After moving to C-Bus from a bigger city I found the shopping to be very repetitive and boring. There are SO many malls with all of the same stores. Tigertree is by far the best store in town!
