I would not recommend this tax consultant to anyone. First, his office area is VERY messy, and the…read morereceptionist is walking around all over the place talking on the phone and walking in & out while you're trying to talk to Mr. Phil James. I didn't feel like confidentiality was important to this consultant since we could hear and see into the front office area. Mr. Phil H. James filed our 2009 tax returns. He quoted us $400 to file both mine and my fiance's returns. We objected and he went down to $200, which was nice. But when it was time to pay, he charged us a little over $300!. I received my $$ from the IRS, but my fiance received a letter indicating that there was missing paperwork with her return. We called Mr. Phil James and to our surprise he offered no explenation or help. He stated it was our job to deal with the IRS, and all we wanted was to make sure he enclosed the actual paperwork the IRS had been seeking! He was rude and inconsiderate. It was sad because he was highly recommended by a close friend of the family. Oh well, live and learn. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Mr. James again. I recommend that you PLEASE, DO NOT USE HIM either, (especially if you have tax credits you are looking forward to receiving on time).
