This firm handled my personal and business taxes for three years. Every single year, I received notices from the IRS and the Department of Revenue stating that my returns were filed incorrectly. Communication was another constant problem. Nearly every scheduled meeting was canceled due to an "emergency." This happened year after year. The first year, after I emailed all required documents, I was invoiced to review and respond to IRS and State of Oregon notices caused by their own mistakes. Even after paying for their review, the issue was not resolved, and I am now making monthly payments for taxes that should have been handled correctly from the start. Document management was equally troubling. After sending complete records by email, I was repeatedly told they could not locate them, as if they had never been received. Most recently, I learned that in 2023 the CPA failed to check the box to file an extension for my returns. As a result, I am now responsible for paying the penalty for their oversight.
