This place deserves a no star. Not only is the CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD here, but today we went in with 6 adults we all got one drink each. My husband chose watermelon bubble tea with boba and basil. When he started drinking it it tasted really bad. We all tried it and you can clearly taste that the watermelon was spoiled. My husband went to exchange it and the cashier, the guys making the drinks doubted my husband. They said that it wasn't to his liking. That the watermelon was a fresh batch of watermelon and that it was probably the boba? Like we've never had boba before. Lol anyway we just moved to prior lake and we were excited to know that we have a close by bubble tea. I tried the Golden Milk Tea w boba pearls, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, fried calamari, and mango biing (shaved ice) with mochi. I enjoyed my iced milk tea a lot and could actually taste the black tea. I was able to adjust the sweetness too - on a scale of 1-4 I chose 2, where 3 is standard, and it was just right. The bob/tapioca was soft and chewy. Ok now onto the food, because clearly we ate a lot of it. The hot snacks are only available Friday-Sunday, so plan accordingly. There are different flavorings you can choose, like cajun, spicy, garlic, etc and you can even combine a few. The spicy popcorn chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed a little heat. Our garlic-cajun calamari were just as good - and I like that they included those little octopi in the mix. Gotta love all those crispy lil alien legs! The food came in sleeves with a bamboo stick like real street food which was fun, but hard to share and manage. I was craving something to dip them in too, like a creamy mayo. I'm not from here. California is home and I was hella craving boba or bubble tea and this was the only place that was serving boba and street food. Let me start off by saying this place is clean and cozy. It's a good place to hang out with friends. There is plenty of seats. The menu is pretty straight forward. They have many choices. It's inexpensive but coming from California it's kinda pricey. They also have different add-ons to the drinks. I ended up getting a bloody mango. And I wish they served something like this back in California that's for sure. I posted it on snapchat and friends back at home were like WHAT? Where did you get that? It looks so good! It reminded me of a mix or a mango smoothie, boba, and a michelado. Brought me back home drinking this. The straw was covered just like the Mercian candies back at home it was so good. The only downside is I shouldn't have added boba because it was getting stuck in the straw. I was having such a hard time drinking it when boba got stuck. Tii cup is one of the yummy places to have authentic bubble tea and Asian snacks! All their milk teas are very tasty and I'm sure all their other drinks are great too. What I do really love about this cafe is that they sell popcorn chicken and fried calamari with different spices to choose from! Their popcorn chicken is an authentic Asian style popcorn chicken and not like KFC's popcorn chicken. They also have flavored shaved ice with fruit and all sorts of other snacks! The only thing that sucks about their food is that they only serve the food on weekends and if you wanted any sauce (such as sweet and sour sauce) to go with your popcorn chicken or fried calamari, they won't have any to provide for you. Their location is very far from where I live and from Minneapolis in my opinion, so I would not drive all the way out here to get some bubble tea if I'm craving for it. Whether it's bubble tea, Vietnamese street food, bing, or smoothies, I think Tii cup is the best place to go to in the greater TC area. What looks like a small shop seems to be always packed with customers, with lines and wait times that sometime exceed a half hour. But I promise you-its worth it! Their popcorn chicken is amazing-and I don't even like popcorn chicken that much. I'd recommend to get garlic-and enjoy how perfectly seasoned and crispy it is. I'm a little salty that I went to school literally 3 minutes from here for 2 entire years and not one person was kind enough to tell me this place exists (#fakefriends). Great selection of flavors, bubbles, and FOOD! I ordered the passion fruit popping jellies or whatever they're called in my tea and honestly I want to order a gallon of them and eat them like popcorn... I recommend! They also have games and lots of tables to come and hangout with your friends. We played uno for a little bit with their hello kitty cards:-) The employees are all very awesome! I was in the mood for some bubble tea and Tii Cup was close by, so I decided to give it a try. Located in a very busy area and strip mall, there is a open, shared, parking lot. It was very busy when I arrived. The line was basically out of the door. The menu is located to the left right when you walk in. Tii cup offers an assortment of drinks and even iced coffee. You can get your drinks blended "snow' or with ice. They also offer an assortment of jellies, boba, and even popping boba. You can customize your drink to your liking. They also offer appetizers as well. I noticed there was calamari which caught my attention. I didn't give any appetizers a try though. I will have to come back to try their little appetizers out. You walk up to order kind of like Starbucks. The young lady that took my order was very nice, and cheerful. I only saw one person in the back making all the drinks. She was busy and working hard. You pay on an iPad, and it even gives you an option to tip. Once you place your order and pay she handed me a cute little decorative plastic plate with my order number on it. There is plenty of seating in the tea shop. There are couches, tables, and even games for you to play. Its like a cool little hang out spot. The drinks didn't take too long to make. I love Thai tea so I was excited to taste what Tii cup had to offer. I will say I am impressed! Very good not too sweet but not too watery. It was made to perfection. The boba was made just right. I seriously love Tii Cup - it is actually an understatement. I would rate this the best bubble tea in Minnesota compared to all the other boba tea places. They seriously have so much variety, and the fact that you are able to get fresh fruit smoothies is definitely a plus (which Sencha and Chatime lack). Every single time I come to Minnesota, I HAVE to go to Tii Cup. I probably went through 5 punch cards in the last year. The service is always nice and quick. The prices are very fair, and they even have Taiwanese snacks like popcorn chicken (however it is only served on the weekend). Their "bingsoo" or shaved ice is alright, I would pass. Especially coming Chicago, there are many fantastic bingsoo places. It is a great spot to study or just to grab a fresh drink on a hot summer day in Minnesota. Tii Cup has been a good place for boba teas since it open, and I have been there a few dozen time, but lately, it's becoming dirty and the mix of the boba are getting worst. My latest visit was Father's Day 2019 (today), two orders for me and my wife and both are tooo sweet, the mix was bad with lots of powder on the bottom and I can still smell the powder. Today, on our way out of the cities, my husband and I had a taste for bubble tea. Major bonus: a place with a punny name was on our way home. The selection at Tii Cup is delightful. There are explanations for everything on the menu, so there's never a question about what you're ordering. I got a taro snow with tapioca pearls, which is my standard bubble tea order (I really should change it up, but maybe later). Our drinks were ready in under 10 minutes, which was awesome. The drink was delicious, as were the tapioca pearls. The only downside was that the table where we waited (briefly) for our drinks still had detritus left over from whomever had sat there before. We came here on a Thursday night. My boyfriend and I were first timers. The location is kind of hidden. We GPS our way there and was lost the last few minutes before arrival time. When we first approached the building, it didn't seem packed. As we made our way in, the amount of people waiting for their orders was crazy. We stood by the registered for a good 5 minutes or so (seemed a lot longer) to which we were not acknowledged. Seeing as they were busy, we respectfully stood there. Finally one staff member acknowledged us as the line behind me started growing. She took my order but then started to mumble halfway through. I guess I didn't understand her. She looked at her coworker and then back at me and said it was time for her to clock out. Lol, she literally took off in the middle of my transaction. I mean, I wasn't bothered by the fact that we waited but damn at least finish my order. We waited probably 25 minutes for our order. The shaved ice was mediocre. It can be a cool hangout place but the layout is kind of weird. You have people overlooking your table which makes it uncomfortable for the most part. I guess you can say that after living in California, I have really high standards on my boba. Boba is serious business for me. This place is....alright. I've tried a few different drinks here. The Golden Milk Tea is really delicious and I love it and the different combination "snow" flavors are good too! But in terms of their boba itself... they could use some improvement. The boba is not sweetened at all and literally just tastes like little balls of starch in your drink (but I guess that is what it actually is...). For a boba place, at minimum, the boba has to be perfected. This place also serves three food options and shaved ice. Last time I came here, I tried the "original" shaved ice (which I assumed was vanilla flavor) with added red bean, mango, and condensed sweet milk. It ended up being close to $6 and the individual portion was extremely small and not worth the price. The snow itself was not impressive either. The snow literally had no taste or maybe the toppings just overpowered its light taste, but either way, it was not good! If they improved their boba, I would definitely return. But until then, I'll opt out. read more
