I stopped by to grab a brown sugar latte before going to see a movie. The barista was nice enough to confirm I wanted a coffee drink which is often confused with the Tiger Latte (which is actually what I usually get). Wasn't busy when I went so I was able to get my drink within a few minutes and be on my way. The drink was good, the coffee was a bit strong but for sure kept me up during the movie. This location is tucked off on the Macys/Dave & Busters side of the mall, on the first floor. Just a walk up counter.

I had to make a stop at the Southdale mall and couldn't resist getting a boba milk tea from Niko Niko. The service area was easy to get to (I suggest parking near the Cycle Gear store and entering through the mall doors to the left) and ordering was done with the staff versus some kiosk options I have seen at other stations. I ordered a 16oz Tiger latte with whole milk, brown sugar drizzle and 50% (half) sugar. It was so creamy, dreamy, and just a balanced sweetness I prefer. I loved the boba brown sugar pearls! The staff was nice, and the station looked clean. I must go back because they also have a variety of smoothies, fruit teas and of course more milk tea options.

Delicious! Wasn't fake tasting and tasted authentic. The only complaint I have was it was super sweet despite lowering the sweetness. The drink came out fast!

Rebranded all nine of their Twin Cities locations to Niko Niko Boba. They kept the same menu, and added some new drinks. They don't do the loyalty punch cards anymore but you can sign up for their new rewards program online (similar to Starbucks). Up through 11/12/23, current loyalty cards with 10 punches can be redeemed for a free drink. After that, they will no longer accept them.

My first bubble tea stateside happened at this Chatime. It's at Southdale Center on the main level. I never got to enjoy bubble tea during my time in Minnesota. There wasn't a surge of real bubble tea places back then like there are these days, no matter where you go. I was thrilled when I saw this Chatime while checking out what has changed at the mall. It works the same way as Chatime up here, except that there isn't a rewards system. I ordered a large lychee black tea. I got coconut jelly as a topping. I got no sugar and less ice, which works for me. It didn't take long for my drink to be made. A competent, tattooed woman made my drink. I was happy and thanked her. I paid using cash. You can also pay with credit cards. The straws are labelled in the little bin on the counter. Toppings or no toppings? That's the important question. I like that the straws are purple at Chatime. Good choice! Yes, I love purple. I drank my tea walking around the mall, driving in my car, and finished it back at the hotel. It was yummy! The tea was refreshing and coconut jelly makes me happy. I will definitely stop by here again to get my bubble tea fix when I'm in the area. (414)

Best chatime in MN very tasty drinks. The mall of America chatime puts too much lemonade in the breeze drinks. Try the ube creme brûlée!

I usually only get the Thai tea when I'm at Chatime. 1. Because I am THE biggest Thai tea fan and 2. Because Chatime's Thai tea is probably the best in MN. And since I'm a huge Thai tea fan, I have high standards too. I love how you can pick your "sugar level" at Chatime, unlike many bubble tea places. I think 30% is perfect but to each their own. I've also tried their smoothies (Thai tea duh), but it's not as strong of a flavor as their iced version straight up. It's usually busy here (line), but it's not terrible and goes by somewhat quick.

My sister and I love Chatime, it's close by, super quick, very convenient, and most importantly, yummy! If too much boba was a possibility, we've been visiting Chatime a few times too many this quarantine using their curbside pick up. The staff has always been so kind and helpful, I've yet to have a bad experience. You're able to choose your tea's sweetness percentage, ice level, and toppings. My favorite is the chai milk tea and my sister's is currently the coconut. If sustainability is important to you, they are very accommodating (during non-pandemic days) with reusable bottles & straws. If you become a faithful follower of Chatime, make sure to grab one of their punch cards because free boba is the best type of boba :).

ChaTime is one of my favorite tea shops! The options and combinations at ChaTime are endless!! They offer milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, lemon breeze, milk coffee, tea lattes, fresh teas and fruity qq with many toppings to choose from!! The Sparkling Hibiscus Lemon is one of my favorites and the new Violet Breeze it's a must try!

Comfortable seating across from the Chatime counter, perfect for enjoying some yummy bubble tea!

I'll start by saying that I'm thankful for this Chatime location. I was looking for a place near Edina to get some bubble tea with my sister, and if this place hadn't opened, I would have had to drive to either Minneapolis or the Mall of America -- not terribly far, but far enough that it's out of the way. Like the previous reviewer, Ashley C., said, this place is not the easiest to find, and, annoyingly, there's no nearby bathroom. There is, however, some nice seating areas across the order counter to sit and enjoy your drink. I found the service to be wonderful. The person who took our order patiently helped us choose the ideal sugar level to include in our drink, and she even let us sample our preferred drink to ensure that it was the one we wanted. She was also forthright about the fact that all the "milk" teas are non-dairy based, which greatly expanded the menu options from which my sister and I could order. Let's just say that you probably wouldn't get such service at Starbucks. The major downside is the cost. Is bubble tea this expensive across the country? If so, ouch! It was reasonable for my sister and me because we got the monthly 2 drinks for $6.99 special (well, +$1 for the tapioca pearls). 3.5 stars overall

Walking in there is very little decoration, a few games and just a dark/cold vibe. There are so many doughnut shops that create fun/colorful/beautiful vibe! This is not that place. The staff here were quiet and barely said a word. Quite frankly, I would have rather order off a screen like other places. The doughnuts were good but not great. While I was there, they were putting out more doughnuts, so may be mine were just older and not as fresh. The Cheetos mozzarella and potato half/half were good! I did enjoy those! Overall, I will not be returning. There are just too many other spots in the TC that are fresh and fun!

The diverse coffee and tea menu offer both the classics to the fancy brews. The pastries to pair with the drinks, are so delectable since they the delightful pastries are from the renown Patisserie 46! Today, I got the Black Sesame Latte with Oat Foam, served hot since it was quite a chilly day and an Almond croissant, which was sooo good, the perfect balance of a flaky exterior with a rich, nutty interior. Heavenly! I also got the opportunity to meet Angie Lee, the founder of Moona Moono! I told her how much I LOVED her shop and how much Minneapolis needed a shop like this. Angie appreciated my feedback and she told me the backstory to the name of the store! The name "Moona Moono" is a rough translation of two Korean words meaning "culture octopus," representing the various "tentacles" or facets of the Asian American experience. How COOL is that? Thank you again, Angie, for bringing this lovely shop to Minneapolis, and I hope it stays a hit for the years to come! LOVE!

**Pros:** * The coffee itself is legitimate: strong, hot,…read moreand fresh. * Reliable Wi-Fi. * The price point for a standard drip coffee is excellent (under $4). **Cons:** * The interior design feels sterile, leaning into a "clinical" aesthetic that lacks warmth. **Review:** I stopped in for a simple "coffee of the day" during a time when the shop was only moderately busy. The staff was initially friendly, emphasizing that I should let them know if I needed anything and that refills were complimentary. However, when I went to pour my coffee, the carafe was empty. What followed was a frustrating 10-minute wait for a simple cup of drip coffee. Despite there being no line, the staff behind the counter were preoccupied with conversation rather than maintaining the station--the most basic expectation for a coffee shop. Furthermore, the process was handled inefficiently. Rather than prioritizing the waiting customer by pouring a cup from the new brew as soon as it was ready, I was left waiting for the entire vessel to finish filling. In a fast-paced environment, drip coffee should be an immediate transaction. Simple service recovery--such as offering an Americano while the pot brewed or acknowledging the wait--would have gone a long way, but unfortunately, there was a lack of situational awareness. The environment also felt dismissive. As I reached my 7th minute waiting for this cup, I remarked that the process was taking longer than a pour-over. A bystander felt compelled to interject, stating, "They're doing their best." I responded, "No, they're not," with the employees standing right there, still failing to perform the basic requirements of their job. If a shop runs out of its primary product and makes a customer wait nearly 10 minutes for a fresh brew, they are not doing their best. That is a failure of service, not a reflection of the customer's patience. tl;dr: Great coffee, but the service experience needs a serious recalibration.

Don't expect the ordinary…read more In fact, if you're wanting something more basic when it comes to boba Jinx isn't the spot for you. However if your soul is craving for something different, something unique, or if you're just open to "different" then I'd definitely give this place a try. The drinks aren't something that I've come across before. Some of their blends seem extremely contradictory, I.e Balsamic and rosewater but it works. Think of it as chocolate coated bacon. Contrast in the best of ways. I had the hot matcha chocolate drink. Its creamy and nice however a touch of bitter. My aunt and sister had the strawberry dream and I agree that the bubbles are good. They aren't too sweet, not too soft, but not undercooked by any means. I also want to mention that the drinks aren't creamy (aside from the chocolatey ones) and that they aren't filled with grams upon grams of sugar. Jinx's boba is lighter but the flavors are still there. I suspect that when people call the drinks watery, that they were expecting a conventional boba tea. I put up some photos of the shop and it's simple, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The environment it chilled out and a place I would bring my laptop to. The staff's pretty nice and open to telling you about themselves and what they stand for. Which is sustainability without shoving it down your throat for example biodegradable cups and lids (and im totally for it). They also pride themselves on having a different approach to steeping the tea, which is cold brewed (it's essentially where tea is steeped in cold water for an extended period of time). This allows the tea to give off a different set of flavors and notes that hot tea doesn't have. Overall it's a good spot. Its affordable, clean, and I would go back. If you have an adventurous spirit, an open mind, or just curious then I'd definitely give it a try. Tip: Ask Questions! The staff will help you find a drink that YOU like instead of just picking at random and hoping for the best!
