We visit this place every week. Taco Tuesday is very good bargain. Food is always well prepared and fresh. Two of the people that work there we usually see are David and Nichole. . First timer and came based on $, pictures, and reviews. This place didnt disappoint at all! The burrito was bigger than a babies leg and tastier than your grandma used to make. The hot sauce bar is pretty cool with the rest of the ambiance. If we werent flying we would have taken some sauces home! Friendly atmosphere. We saw a wide age range of people on a Sunday. Not authentic at all, but fine food and awesome people. I had a combo with a beef and bean burrito + chicken quesadilla, with black beans and rice. The food came out quick and was tasty enough, but nothing outstanding. They do have a hot sauce station with 20 different sauces of varying flavors and scoville levels (including one, oddly enough, which was pretty much an Asian sauce) - I tried five of them and loved four. The only bad one, as usual, was the hottest - not flavor, just pure spice. No thanks, I'll take the habanero sauces that mix the two well. In the end, I also grabbed some churros which were tasty but nothing amazing. Throughout, the people were the best part. Second time here, will be coming back! The food is very very good and filling for the price, and the array free, custom sauces adds that extra kick of flavor to push it all over the top. My favorite place to eat in Fort Walton by far. Food is always awesome and has a very retro atmosphere. Service is usually pretty awesome and the staff is great when it comes to customer service. I always take friends and family here when they come visit. Don't skip on the hot sauce bar. There are so many choices and they gradually increase in heat from left to right. Also they have a drive through window so you can call ahead or order online. Makes good work of those lazy days. read more

The atmosphere at Tijuana Flats is so modern and cool from the way that they spray paint the ceilings in the walls to the little things like the locals have a little area when you walk in that you can take a marker and mark your name on it.. there's pictures of stars that come there and eat that the owner Has pictures with they have a hot bar of hot sauces and everyone of them are completely off the hook They have their own unique taste the other day I tried the Vidalia onion sauce and it was completely the best sauce I ever put in my mouth As for the beef they use some type of spice with the the beef to make it just taste good all by itself and that's what goes in your burrito your taco the chicken is the same way season and fresh....cheese dip! This place is awesome. It's not a tourist trap like a lot of the places closer to the beach, so that's one positive. The service is endlessly terrific. We were just there this week and were greeted at the door with menus and a welcome. My entire family all looked at each other and were impressed. Big fan of the food as well. I don't think they advertise themselves as authentic and it doesn't have that feel, but the taste is outstanding anyway. I'm a chimichanga man myself and theirs are kick ass. I can't recommend their chips and cheese with the old school American nacho cheese which is runny (yes, runny) so you can actually dip a chip and not have it crumbled into shards (yes, I said shards). My wife is more of a fan of their salsa bar than I am (don't need 'em myself) but that's a nice touch and you can get a different flavor each bite by trying bites with different salsas. Bonus: I think they gave my Mom a discount for being a retired teacher. I never get discounts (damn lawyers can't screw themselves, right?) but that was cool they gave her one for being a retired underappreciated teacher. I know they have a military discount because every time when come here they have what seems like a GI Joe convention in the place with all the different military customers. I just generally like places that think about people and not just profits. Highly recommend you eat here. read more

I've been craving Mexican food since I moved to FWB and Tijuana Flats didn't disappoint. The chicken chimichanga was delicious and the sweet tea was perfectly sweetened. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. I LOVED the hot sauce bar. So why the 3 star review? The prices seem a little high for the quantity of food. Also, I would expect a free bottomless basket of chips and salsa for the price. I will be back though, the food is that good. Next time I'll have to delve into their huge assortment of beers. read more

Tijuana flats is probably the quickest and most delicious fat mexican food you can get in this area. This place was somewhat underwhelming. After looking over their menu online I was very excited to try this place out. The restaurant was very neat and clean. Ordering was easy and simple and the price wasn't too bad. One thing that stood out to me was their hot sauce bar. They had 20 complimentary hot sauces so that was very unique. I ordered a chimichanga "wet" with rice and beans. Presentation was nice but the taste was very lackluster. This is why I say it was underwhelming.
