One of the best skinny Margaritas that I ever had. Fresh and delicious yellow fin tuna tacos with crunchy coleslaw. They let you substitute the sides. I tried the street corn and their side salad both yummy. Music at lunch time was a great touch plus lovely views of the ocean from the balcony . Great friendly servers. Me and my girlfriend ordered tacos and they were very bland, no flavor. Atmosphere was okay but for the food and the price, not worth it. Best to travel further east into Destin for better food. read more

By far the best tacos I've ever had! I am saddened that I can't have them again as we were just visiting Florida. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The flavor was out of this world! They pack the tacos with meat, two is plenty. We shared the gator and shrimp tacos, the shrimp was my favorite but the gator was good too! Both cooked perfectly and paired well with the sauce. We also shared the avocado fries, fried perfectly and the dipping sauce was divine. I got the mango peach mojito, my two favorite things mangos and mojitos. It was strong, sweet and minty. Rockin Taco is all about the experience. And they are doing their best to make it exceptional. This was my first time to visit Rockin Tacos. Some of the things that I loved: 1. The bartender remembered talking to us at another bar that he worked at, and he even remembered our names. 2. There were seats available at the bar while we waited for our table. 3. There was a QR code that you could use to join an online trivia game while you waited for your table. 4. They have a nice outside deck that overlooks the ocean. 5. The manager came over and talked to us and wanted to make sure we had a great experience! The food was also really good. My husband and I split the chicken fajita platter, and it was plenty of food for both of us. My only complaint is that I wished they had complimentary chips and salsa like other restaurants. read more

This place draws attention largely due to its proximity to the water. It is exactly what you would expect, right down to the menu. We went here for lunch on a wednesday and sat right at the rail over looking the beach. I had a margarita and the fish tacos, my son had a burrito. (this particular burrito is his go to here, which is why he wants to bring me. he loves the sauce. one i told him it was just chipotle mayo..... it lost a little bit of it's luster) rockin' tacos will do in a pot nah, or if you're on the beach near by, but you don't need to go out of your way. read more

Tasty with a hint of salt air. The food was fantastic. I sat at the bar and after chatting with Chase, I got the Gator Taco's, wow so good. I also got a jalapeno margarita and boy did he know how to make that, nice and fresh. Throughout the meal he checked in on me just enough to not be overbearing. The only concern I have, they really can't do anything about. The location is on the second floor of the building, with windows that open to the outside, over looking the beach and Gulf of Mexico. Due to that, everything had a fresh layer of beach haze on it. The glasses hanging, while they didn't look clean, they were, but they rinsed them before putting drinks in them. Sadly, due to the location and Mother Nature, that's really something they can't control. However, the next time I'm in town, I know where I'll be dining! read more

My husband ordered the Ahi Tuna tacos and said the tasted fishy and could not finish them, my son ordered the cheeseburger tacos and he took one bite and could not eat anymore, my other son got the lobster tacos which were dry, fishy, and absolutely not worth the price. I order the shrimp tacos, menu says lighted breaded they are heavily breaded and the shrimp was very dry. We all left with upset stomachs, I cannot believe we spent so much money for completely awful food. Will not return. read more

My boyfriend and I tried Rockin Tacos on Cinco de Mayo. Overall, the service was fast, but it felt very rushed because I know they were trying to get people in and out. We were here a total of 45 minutes (if that). The service was fast but very unpersonable. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were just alright. My boyfriend ordered the lobster tacos and loved them! Price is reasonable for everything we got. We both ordered the house margarita and I'm convinced there is 0 tequila in the drink - I have felt that has happened at every restaurant The Crab Trap owns (including Al's and Rockin Tacos). We had to order individual shots to pour in the margarita (extra $20). Wouldn't come back because it's nothing special. read more

Can't even get to ordering food. It's so loud. 2:30 in the afternoon. Less than a dozen tables and the music is louder than any night club. Couldn't even hear the server. She said the manager likes it loud. We tried sitting outside. It was beautiful but unbearably loud. Bummer. Food looked good. read more

We ordered shrimp tacos and grilled fish tacos. The fish tacos were very dry and full of bones, large bones. The shrimp Tacos were average and heavily breaded. We also ordered two margaritas that didn't have a lot of tequila and very watered down. The manager happened to stop by our table to ask about our meal so we shared the above info with him. I honestly can't remember the last time I've had this bad of service. No one greeted us for 15 mins so we finally had to ask someone. The queso came out cold and they too it back and basically warmed it up in a microwave and said it would be warm and wasn't. The shrimp quesadilla was chewy and there was no cheese inside. It has a great view of the beach but that's probably the only thing good about it. Was looking forward to a nice and fun lunch and was sadly disappointed. read more

The yellow fin tuna tacos are fantastic with great depth of flavor and plenty of food even for bigger eaters. My ahi was seared perfectly and the balance of fish to slaw was spot on. The steak fajita was a total let down as the meat was dry and lacked seasoning. The rice was undercooked and beans were closer to a paste than yumminess. The nachos are worth getting and you will pick at them all night long, as they are huge!!!! The service here is timely and fair not adding not detracting from the dining experience. Fresh into town and as it was our first visit to the area, we looked for something ocean side and close to us. Just one stoplight away brought us here. Great view since they are on the second floor and a great covered deck to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Gulf. Quick service, flavorful margaritas, crisp this chips and salsa, started our meal, well more of a snack.. We opted for the queso, since it included the salsa and then added an order of flautas. Just enough for us to share after a 6 hour drive. The service was handled by the staff as we had no less than 3 people bringing our order to us. We will return, as my wife has decided that we need to spend more time on the gulf coast. read more

Beachfront joints are perhaps the most magical thing in Florida. As warm breezes hit the face, the cold draft beer keeps on flowing and seafood loads up the table. Yet, very view spots on the beach manage to impress when it comes to food. Oddly, some of the best seafood is found steps away from the beach, yet not directly on the beach. Maybe it's the margins of a beachfront property that force business owners to sacrifice quality. Rockin' Taco has a solid menu of Mexican classics. The nachos come loaded up with enough chips to feed a table, but the quality suffers. Guacamole is not very fresh, already turned brown. The shrimp are not either, with an odd ammonia like taste that's sometimes found on low quality frozen shrimp far inland. The mahi tacos are alright, but we're far from a favorite, yet that's a matter of taste. Notable draft beer selections include 30a and Tres Picos Mexican lager. Most importantly, people working here are kind and attentive, representing the quintessential warmth of the region. Great place to grab a beer with an ocean view. read more

We started with the chips and salsa, excellent by the way, but it sadly went downhill from there. I had the blackened pescado with mango habanero salsa, but the fish was way over done and I've had better mango salsa from the grocery store. The shrimp tacos my wife had tasted like they were fresh out of the freezer from that same grocery store. I was here on vacation, but I doubt I would ever return, even if we come back to FWB. This is a really cool spot with good food! First time visiting as everyone else hadbeen many times, it did not disappoint. We sat outside under the canopy looking over the beach and it's a great view. The place was very busy (Saturday night) but the servers are on top of everything I can admit. Food didn't take long, service was good and we had no issues with anything. Seem to have a ton of seating both indoors and outside. First time ever eating avocado, the avocado fries are pretty tasty. Fried perfectly and a great flavour inside. They also got Mexican street corn and queso. The queso was very very good, but I'm not a fan of corn although I did try it. Everything within the appetizers was really good. I got the classic cheeseburger which came with tater tots, and my girl got rockin shrimp tacos which I think came with rice. My burger was good. Cooked medium, it's a fairly bigger patty with lettuce tomato and onion, overall pretty good burger. I took a bite of a taco and I must say it was actually excellent. I'm much of a traditionalist and don't like things out of the ordinary on a "taco" but these were awesome! Kinda wish I would've gotten some. The shrimp they use is high quality, perfectly fried tasty shrimp. Everything else topped on the tacos are super good as well and the sweet n spicy sauce was just right! Our server Jacqy was superhuman, I no idea how she was able to keep our drinks flowing and get all our food out at the same time with such a cheerful demeanor, but she absolutely did. We came in on a Friday afternoon. The place looked pretty packed but we were able to find a seat on the patio. Even though it was blazing hot outside it didn't seem as hot on the patio. We ordered the fried lobster tacos and the shredded chicken tacos with queso chips and salsa. Those chips and queso were banging I must say lol They seemed like they were right out of the oven.
