    Red and Green Carnitas

We stumbled upon this place when my wife said, "lets go to that one place called 'Sabor somethin' somethin'". Good advice! Wonderful service and cold beer! Now, as a native New Mexican (happy Florida convert), I am always skeptical of "Mexican Food". This place delivered and has gained two mighty followers whenever the itch strikes. The Carnitas' were perfectly cooked and tender and the server granted my wish of trying it with both the red and green sauce. Well done, my dude! The Birria Taco's were FANTASTICO! See ya soon!

Took the family there (wife and two teenage daughters) while in Fort Walton on vacation. Service was great. The chips were amazing. Light and crispy. Cheese dip was good, ceviche was awesome and paired perfectly with those light and crispy chips. Taco Salad, EL pastor tacos, carne asada tacos, and Pollo Loco and it was all good. Small little hole in the wall place that feels like your hometown go to for Mexican. We were all impressed.

Monterey Plate - chicken tamale, chili relleno, enchilada (usually beef, I subbed for cheese), and beans and rice

Ooooh yeah Sabor A Mexico sure hit the spot when we stopped for dinner. The menu has something for everyone, even vegetarian options! The staff was very friendly bringing out drinks and complimentary chips and salsa (YUM!) Our waitress was very good and answered any questions we had. The service was super quick! Our food came out shortly after we ordered it, steaming hot and smelling great! I ordered the Monterey plate which was great, it had a little of everything so I didn't have to decide on just one and risk FOMO. Between the enchilada, tamale and chili relleno, I think my favorite was the tamale, but all of them were delicious! My sister got the shrimp street tacos, and says they were equally delish! If you're looking for a quick yet satisfying meal, I def recommend Sabor A Mexico!

After having car trouble on our vacation, we went to Sabor A Mexico to sit while our car was repaired. our waiter/the manager Miguel was amazing, so encouraging and interesting to talk to! We got a chicken rice bowl, birria tacos, enchilada burrito and hard taco, and sopes (pork, steak, and chicken) and everything was very good! They let us stay for 2+ hours until our car was ready and it was overall a great experience.

    Chicken Quesadilla, yum

We had a fabulous meal at Sabor A Mexico tonight. Our server was excellent, fast and friendly. Chips were crispy and salsa very fresh and tasty. Shrimp fajitas were delicious, 12 juicy fresh shrimp and nicely chared vegetables. Tortillas tasted homemade. Chicked super Quesadilla was also great, full of cheese, tender meat and veggies. Both dishes came with sour cream and quacamole. Lots of very good food for a nice price. I will definitely eat here again . Coke products, beer.

    Top choice, Tres tacos... Amazing!

I moved away from Ft. Walton Beach. This restaurant I truly miss. I didn't appreciate the authenticity of the Mexican food.

I rolled into Florida hungry, running on fumes, and pulled over at a taqueria that had exactly zero interest in impressing me from the parking lot. Which is, of course, always a good sign. The service was quick. The people were kind. The place was clean, and I say that as someone who has knowingly eaten tacos in questionable places. The menu was unapologetically Mexican, but it wouldn't scare off anyone who's discovering it for the first time. We got carne asada tacos. A pork tamale. A torta Hawaiiana. All of it landed well above the line, but the tamale. That tamale might have been the best I've ever had, and I don't say that lightly. Masa that knew what it was doing. And the salsa bar wasn't an afterthought; it was an invitation to escalate things, and we accepted. Stop by and enjoy the tacos here, you won't regret it.

Generous portions and reasonable prices also keep your belly full and won't hurt your wallet. Highly recommend Taqueria Mi Gente. I bought a burrito to catch a flight and was delicious at 30,000 while watching a movie headed home. This is my new spot and heading back to Florida soon. Service was great and very patient in answering questions about the menu or anything else you want to know about their delicious food. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Since the Mary Esther location was conveniently close to where we were staying, we decided to stop by and place a to-go order. Upon arrival, we went to the bar to order, and the bartender was friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the grilled chicken quesadilla, which the bartender highly recommended, along with a soft taco. I chose the shredded chicken soft taco. When we got back to our hotel and tried the food, we were pleasantly surprised. The flavors were well-balanced and delicious without being overwhelming. The seasoning was just right, allowing the freshness and quality of the ingredients to stand out. Both the quesadilla and tacos were flavorful, satisfying, and clearly prepared with care. We enjoyed our first experience so much that we returned two days later. This time, we both ordered the grilled chicken and avocado salad. Once again, the food exceeded our expectations. The salads contained generous portions of grilled chicken, the avocado was fresh and perfectly ripe, and there was an excellent balance of vegetables and protein. It was a filling meal without feeling heavy. The only minor issue during our second visit was that we requested balsamic dressing, but it was accidentally left out of our to-go order. However, we did not check our bag before leaving, so we share some responsibility for not catching the oversight. Surprisingly, the salad was so fresh and flavorful that we still thoroughly enjoyed it without the dressing. Based on the two meals we have tried, we have been very impressed with both the quality and consistency of the food. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the flavors were excellent. As newcomers to the area, we are always looking for restaurants worth revisiting, and this is definitely one we plan to return to. We would happily recommend it to others looking for a reliable and enjoyable dining experience.
