Two hard shell chicken Tacos chips Queso Rice
    Andrea P.

Ordered Tijuana flats on Uber eats , large tacos , queso was delicious ! They really skimped on the chips that come with your meal , the rice was repulsive , the blackened chicken was gross too , the regular chicken was alright . I don't think this place is one i will be frequenting .

I came across a social media ad for Tijuana Flat's new cheeseburger tacos with seasoned fries for $7.79 I called the trinity location for a carry out order and the girl who answered the phone was helpful asking if I wanted to add any extra items to my order. I added queso to dip my fries in for $1.75. I was told 15m before my order would be ready. I showed up at Tujuana Flats 5 minutes later and saw an employee bringing my order out. Once I got home, I opened the box to view my order and wasnt exactly happy with the amount of food I received. Two medium size tacos with everything found on a cheeseburger including a ketchup, mustard, pickles etc. The fries that came with the tacos seemed to be no larger than a scoop. The tacos tasted descent and the queso was good (no meat in the queso). Overall, I got a cheap, fast meal but it wasnt the quality I'm used to from this location.

    Steak Chimichanga!

On a Friday night where all the restaurants in the area are slammed we were able to get in right away and received great food and good service. It's technically fast food I guess but definitely doesn't have the feel of fast food. You order the food at a counter up front and then find a seat like regular fast food. The quality of food is definitely not fast food and the brought the food to us when it was ready. They have a big selection of hot sauces and some are really hot, I'm not a pepper belly but I do eat jalapeños like cherries. They also have a decent selection of beers on draft. I ordered a steak chimichanga on wheat wrap and it was as good as any I've ever had. Great alternative if you are looking to avoid the 45 minute wait at nearby restaurants.

The most pathetic taco I have ever seen, no wonder the place was empty at noon

lettuce taco with some chicken pieces in it, absolutely pathetic. Even the chips are stale

Very impressed!! This place ran like a well oiled machine. Staff was friendly, management was on the floor. It had been several years since I've been to a Tijuana Flats, but the waitress quickly made some recommendations. Food was great, our drinks were constantly refilled, staff was happy, and the place was clean. Will be back soon :)

Cinco de Mayo Gem in Trinity: A Must-Try Local Mexican Spot!…read more After wrapping up a fun morning meeting our photographer for a photo shoot of our newest listing, my husband and I decided to celebrate Cinco de Mayo the right way--with an amazing lunch at a fantastic local spot in the Trinity area. Since this was the first time Cinco fell on Taco Tuesday since 2020, I played it safe and made a reservation on OpenTable. Smart move--it was *packed*! If you're a foodie hunting for authentic, flavorful Mexican food with really nice ambience and a welcoming vibe, put this place on your list immediately. You can instantly tell they care about every plate that leaves the kitchen. The house salsa was a standout--thick, rich, and packed with roasted tomato flavor instead of the usual watery stuff. The chips were made in-house and arrived perfectly fresh and warm. We asked for their hot salsa and they delivered with a housemade roasted habanero that brought serious heat! I mixed it with the regular salsa for the perfect balance, while my husband powered through it straight and loved every bite. The $8 house margaritas (normally $10) were the special of the day and excellent --perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too tart. The bartenders clearly know their craft. For tacos, my husband went with the Oaxaca tacos featuring grilled pineapple (his new favorite) and a Carne Asada that came in a very close second. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the Birria taco. The shrimp came on these housemade, grilled flour tortillas that were crispy, thicker, and absolutely addictive--I'm usually a corn tortilla loyalist, but these changed my mind! The Birria was delicious too (though I did miss having consommé for dipping). Three tacos let you mix and match, which made it easy to try a couple of different options. Even though the restaurant was buzzing, our server (whose name I unfortunately missed--sorry!) and the whole team worked like a well-oiled machine. Food and drinks came out quickly and everyone was genuinely friendly. This is a true locally owned gem. Next time we visit, I'm ordering the flight of four margaritas--something to look forward to! If you're in the Trinity area and love supporting great local restaurants, definitely check this spot out. Let me know if you go--I'd love to hear what you think!

A Delicious Discovery: Authentic Mexican Gem in New Port Richey…read more This weekend, my husband Eriq and I headed up to our favorite Thai spot, only to find it closed. Hangry levels were rising fast, so we pivoted to a nearby Mexican grocery store and market that had been on my radar from glowing reviews. It delivered big time on authentic flavors, generous portions, and warm hospitality. Tucked at the back of the well-stocked Latin grocery store is a casual dining area where you order fresh-made Mexican classics. The menu offers plenty of traditional options and cool protein choices. One of the cooks kindly brought me a little sample cup of their pozole when I asked about it -- tender, falling-off-the-bone pork in a rich broth. Absolute perfection. (She also mentioned their menudo, but I politely passed on that one!) We decided on the tostadas, and wow -- for $13.99 you get three super-crispy house-made tortillas piled high with toppings. I went with two chicken and one steak (which was tender). The chicken was incredibly flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender from slow-cooking in spices. Fresh shredded lettuce, cilantro, crumbled cheese, a drizzle of crema, and slices of avocado on top made every bite fantastic. Eriq loved the al pastor version he tried and powered through all three. He also ordered a carnitas taco (which looked excellent, but he ran out of room!). The tortillas held up beautifully under all the toppings -- no crumbling disasters, which is rare and impressive. They brought out two house hot sauces (a smoky red and a vibrant green salsa) that were outstanding, plus ice-cold Mexican sodas made with real cane sugar. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff bringing food out promptly. The whole place felt genuinely authentic (we might have been the only non-Latino folks there, always a great sign), the grocery section was small but well stocked with staples, fresh meats and produce. If you're in the Holiday/NPR area and craving real-deal Mexican food at very reasonable prices, definitely stop in. We'll be back soon -- those tostadas are going to haunt my dreams in the best way possible.

Great food at a fair price. Friendly staff. I will return to try more of the menu. Local family runread more
