We thought we'd try dining in because there were open spots in the small parking lot. We weren't really disappointed, but we weren't happy with our food, or beverages. The coke tasted off, the horchata was good, but there was undissolved mix at the bottom of the glass. We each got tacos, one order al pastor, one steak. As we tried each others, we couldn't tell them apart. Not sure what we actually got, but they were not what we ordered.

This place may look like a dive, but let me tell you.... Being from a place where we're used to authentic Mexican food- this is about as close as you'll get! We're pretty picky when it comes to getting the real deal- this place is legit! Not fancy by any means, but if you want some good authentic Mexican food you found the spot! Service has always been very fast and friendly. The restaurant is always very clean and tidy. Their homemade chunky guac comes in a fried up tortilla- delish. Warm chips and the salsa is definitely homemade. I always get the street tacos which are superb. I love that that add the whole grilled green onion on top. Authentic for sure. After a few years of searching, this is now our go to spot! We'll be back!

Such wonderful authentic food. Everyone who worked there were so friendly and helpful. Down home great cooking in a family atmosphere.

I stopped in here in a major rain storm on my way back to Spring Hill from Port Richey and only because of the reviews. I really liked our server. She was pleasant, but the food not so much. I didn't care for the salsa, queso, or the Chile Relleno. The Relleno was over cooked, and bland. The salsa tasted like pure watered down tomato paste, and the queso didn't have much flavor either. My son opted for the Chimichanga and he said it was pretty good. Hence the 3 stars rather than less. I always hear how hole in the wall places are so good, but this one isn't. Maybe it was an off-day, but I can give them another try again later on down the road. Unless it's REAL bad, I will give people another chance.

Stopped here for the first time, and it was OK. Would I go back again? If my friends were going, yes, but on my own to choose it, probably not. Service was good. Food was OK, salsa, for being a Mexican restaurant, was not good. The best thing was their tortillas.

The best tacos I have had in I don't remember how long. I got the Tacos Mexicanos, which are authentic street tacos. I got one of each, beef, carnitas and chicken. Absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going back to try some other items on the menu.

Not bad. Quick service. Rice and beans ok ( I expected yellow rice -- both not flavorful). Salsa for the chips ok. You can do better. Chicken Tostada excellent. Tacos very good. Nice servers.

Tried this place for the first time - we got take out. It was quick, ordering was easy. The waitress was helpful with the menu. We ordered tacos and she told us we were able to mix the proteins, instead of getting just one protein. The food was delicious, very flavorful, big portions, and authentic. We ordered take out and waited in the car, she brought it out to us, we didn't even have to go inside. Service was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Ok food but all of us landed in the ER with very bad food poisoning. Not impressed with the service or cleanliness either.

A Delicious Discovery: Authentic Mexican Gem in New Port Richey…read more This weekend, my husband Eriq and I headed up to our favorite Thai spot, only to find it closed. Hangry levels were rising fast, so we pivoted to a nearby Mexican grocery store and market that had been on my radar from glowing reviews. It delivered big time on authentic flavors, generous portions, and warm hospitality. Tucked at the back of the well-stocked Latin grocery store is a casual dining area where you order fresh-made Mexican classics. The menu offers plenty of traditional options and cool protein choices. One of the cooks kindly brought me a little sample cup of their pozole when I asked about it -- tender, falling-off-the-bone pork in a rich broth. Absolute perfection. (She also mentioned their menudo, but I politely passed on that one!) We decided on the tostadas, and wow -- for $13.99 you get three super-crispy house-made tortillas piled high with toppings. I went with two chicken and one steak (which was tender). The chicken was incredibly flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender from slow-cooking in spices. Fresh shredded lettuce, cilantro, crumbled cheese, a drizzle of crema, and slices of avocado on top made every bite fantastic. Eriq loved the al pastor version he tried and powered through all three. He also ordered a carnitas taco (which looked excellent, but he ran out of room!). The tortillas held up beautifully under all the toppings -- no crumbling disasters, which is rare and impressive. They brought out two house hot sauces (a smoky red and a vibrant green salsa) that were outstanding, plus ice-cold Mexican sodas made with real cane sugar. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff bringing food out promptly. The whole place felt genuinely authentic (we might have been the only non-Latino folks there, always a great sign), the grocery section was small but well stocked with staples, fresh meats and produce. If you're in the Holiday/NPR area and craving real-deal Mexican food at very reasonable prices, definitely stop in. We'll be back soon -- those tostadas are going to haunt my dreams in the best way possible.

Great food at a fair price. Friendly staff. I will return to try more of the menu. Local family runread more
