This place may look like a dive, but let me tell you.... Being from a place where we're used to authentic Mexican food- this is about as close as you'll get! We're pretty picky when it comes to getting the real deal- this place is legit! Not fancy by any means, but if you want some good authentic Mexican food you found the spot! Service has always been very fast and friendly. The restaurant is always very clean and tidy. Their homemade chunky guac comes in a fried up tortilla- delish. I stopped in here in a major rain storm on my way back to Spring Hill from Port Richey and only because of the reviews. I really liked our server. She was pleasant, but the food not so much. I didn't care for the salsa, queso, or the Chile Relleno. The Relleno was over cooked, and bland. The salsa tasted like pure watered down tomato paste, and the queso didn't have much flavor either. My son opted for the Chimichanga and he said it was pretty good. Hence the 3 stars rather than less. I always hear how hole in the wall places are so good, but this one isn't. Maybe it was an off-day, but I can give them another try again later on down the road. Unless it's REAL bad, I will give people another chance. read more

Tried this place for the first time - we got take out. It was quick, ordering was easy. The waitress was helpful with the menu. We ordered tacos and she told us we were able to mix the proteins, instead of getting just one protein. The food was delicious, very flavorful, big portions, and authentic. I ate there for the first time last night and will never return. The place was not busy, but the service was not good. We received our chips and dip, but had to ask for napkins. We also had to ask for our silverware after a food was delivered. I would advise not to ask for a glass of water because it tasted like tap water. I ordered the fajitas with all the different meats. My favorite elsewhere is the Mexican sausage, Chorizo, but there's is obviously the one that comes out of a roll like they have at Save-A-Lot. It was still in the shape of the row and the texture was terrible. The chicken and steak was okay and the shrimp was very good, not overcooked. Biggest problem was I couldn't eat most of the dinner because it was burnt. Yelp won't let me post the picture I took of the burnt vegetables and meat. I showed it to the waitress, but she didn't seem concerned. Also the green salsa was more like a bottle of hot green sauce. Just liquid, no ingredients and too hot. I normally check the restrooms before I eat anywhere and I made the mistake of not doing that here. Let's just say, I refused to use it. read more

I've passed this place for years.. SOOO sad all that time I didn't know what is inside the modest location. The food is incredible, and half the price of other places here who call themselves "Mexican food". This shows the difference between them. My chili relleanos was fried to perfection, stuffed with cheese oozing out, and I had a salad with a homemade lime dressing that was so awesome I had to buy extra The waitress was on point, and was very welcoming and friendly. Because of the favorable reviews I decided to give this place a try. Disappointed the whole way through. As with most Mexican restaurants, was provided complementary chips and salsa. Chips were crisp and fresh tasting, although the salsa left quite a bit to be desired. I ordered steak fajitas, while the steak & peppers , onions were very tasty all of the sides were disappointing.
