I don't understand, I don't know if they hate me here or if I just have bad luck here. I wonder how many other orders get screwed up, or is it just mine?! I ordered one chicken and one cheese enchilada with a crispy beef taco. I got two cheese enchiladas. It seems like every time I order from here, it's messed up. I don't understand how difficult it is especially being that I worked in a Mexican restaurant for six years. I called them and once again, Daniel told me he would take care of me, like he said the last time they messed up my order. If I ever call again, I think I'm just going to tell them to give me whatever they want because that's what they seem to do anyway. I tried this new Mexican spot and really liked it! First they bring chips and salsa and it was good. I ordered the enchiladas and the beef one was definitely my favorite: the chicken one was good too but the beef had more flavor. The tacos were decent, nothing crazy but tasty. I also ordered a horchata and it was really good super refreshing. The place itself is very cute and the service was good. My friend selected El Mezcal for our monthly lunch get-together. The food was good, not fantastic, just good for the price. Service was great. Our waitress stopped by often to see if the food was good or if we needed anything. Cudoes for service. El Mezcal was decorated in authentic Mexican style. Very colorful and vibrant. I would have liked to hear authentic Mexican music playing, but we were entertained. The regulars began filling the place up shortly after they opened at 11:00. I recommend you give El Mezcal a try. The food is plentiful and delicious. The prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. Very clean, friendly staff. I visited on a Saturday, early afternoon. I ordered the #1 lunch with a taco and chili relleno. They were full of beef. The salad was plentiful, including a large dollop of avocado. The relleno was too spicy for me and served lukewarm. My server, Antonio offered me a substitute. I said, I'm OK and I'll pay the full bill. He then asked me if I'd like dessert instead. Staying at a local hotel and they recommended. It's a standard Mexican place with booths and tables located in a strip mall. Takeout service was quick but not helpful in making suggestions. Ordered the pollo ranchero which didn't have that much flavor. Came with rice also not much flavor without salsa. Also came with corn tortillas. For price, it's a pretty decent spot, especially considering how slow pasco county is to get good food in the area. The $21 burrito is literally ginormous. The corn elote wasn't bad but left something to be desired. Chorizo cheese dip was delicious and just that. Solid chips. Tacos are $2.49 on taco Tuesday's so not bad, basic toppings. read more

The margaritas were amazing. Very surprised by the house margaritas how good it was. Iguana margaritas which was good. The chicken taco shooters were delicious and well seasoned. The guacamole you can tell was freshly made. My only disappointment was the fried shrimp chimichangas. It was not fried enough and they were stingy on the amount of shrimp. It was also salty. One of them only had 2 shrimp and all vegetables in it. The service was great. If it wasn't for my shrimp chimichangas I would have given them a 5 star. read more

The food was excellent. The service was fantastic. My mother ordered off the menu and was happy, I ordered burritos with language. 2 house margaritas, one with an extra tequila. I got Christmas sauce, cheese, and tongue. This is what I was charged. $80 for tongue. Ridiculous. The service was FANTASTIC. The mariachi were top notch. But I was hit with a $50 for ordering tongue. Ridiculous. I love this place but I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN because I got taxed for ordering cheap meat done nicely. That's sad. Love this place! I haven't sampled everything yet, but can recommend the lunch special with chicken and spinach - delicious. Have also sampled tacos, burritos.....they have lots of combinations and choices, and we have never been disappointed. Service has always been good. Typical atmosphere for a Mexican restaurant. They have Mariachi performers and Margaritas specials on Wednesdays, but I haven't attended that yet. read more

The first time I was there was great - food, service, cleanliness. Fast forward two weeks and just okay. The decor is still great and the service was really good. My server's name was Joey and he was very attentive and helpful. Although the table and booth were clean, when I was given a menu, it had food stuck to it. It's laminated and easy enough to clean, but it wasn't. I ordered the huevos rancheros, which typically comes with sunny side up eggs. When I got mine, they were hard fried eggs, no runny yoke. It was tasty and I did ask if next time I can order it with sunny side up eggs and I was told yes. So just know that whenever you're ordering any of the egg dishes, you need to specify how you want them done. I got an order of the Texans fajitas which comes with chicken, steak and shrimp to go. Very generous portions, came with rice and beans and all the fixings including choice of flour or corn tortillas. Even a nice side of salsa and chips like you would get when dining in. However, big disappointment with the fajitas themselves. The flavor was great, the vegetables were good, but not very many, and the chicken and the steak were incredibly tough. It was so tough when eating it later that day, I had to cut up all the steak and chicken into little pieces to make them chewable. The shrimp was great, nice and big and not tough. I will go back. I will just make sure to only get the shrimp fajitas or maybe even the seafood combo fajitas. read more

I don't give a three rating lightly normally I would give this place four maybe a five. I normally dine in and have a great experience. This time I had takeout we had fajita taco salad which was excellent. We also ordered fajitas texarkana's I believe it is. Flavor was great but the big thing is they forgot tortillas. Not to include tortillas that so ruins the whole experience of the fajita. I'm quite disappointed in that fact that's why a mediocre grade. By all means if you like Mexican dying in there you won't hate the experience you'll love the food read more

Stopped and got the Burritos Deluxe for carry out. consisted of 1 beef burrito and 1 chicken burrito. By the time I got home, which I don't live that far from the restaurant, it was cold and the burritos were soggy from the chopped tomatoes and lettuce and the chicken was a bit chewy.
