During a short weekend trip to Pittsburgh, we decided to explore Carson Street and started our day drinking at this neat tiki lounge. We came in early on a weekday, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves, but that gave us a great opportunity to soak in the underground club vibe. The layout is super unique, with a small see-through section of the floor (note: maybe skip the skirt) and quirky bathrooms that added to the fun atmosphere. The drink menu had a great selection of tropical classics, but we were also pleasantly surprised by their tequila offerings. My friend is an Espolon fan, so we ordered two shots, but we were only able to get one as it was the end of the bottle. We did get cute souvenir tiki shot glasses to take home with us. The tropical drinks we ordered were delicious, colorful, and exactly what you'd hope for at a tiki bar. The friendly bartender really made our experience memorable--super welcoming and knowledgeable about the drink selection, which added to the relaxed, fun vibe of the place.

Basically a dive tiki bar. The piña colada was delicious and the tacos on Thursdays were a fabulous deal. Glad I stopped by! Check out the bar in the basement. It wasn't serving anything while I was there, but I liked the decor and atmosphere down there.

Tiki Lounge is an amazing little spot on E. Carson Street in the south side flats. It is so cool! There are little nooks and crannies to relax and sip on your delicious Polynesian cocktails! The spot is happening on the weekends- I prefer a more chill atmosphere during the week. The drinks are over the top & put a smile on your face. We could've stayed there the whole night- if we had a cab! The vibe is perfect. I recommend swinging through the Tiki Lounge any day of the week!

Awesome traditional tiki hangout! We went on Thursday night and it was nice and quiet and relaxing. The bartenders were awesome! The old man with the mustache (James) was awesome and told us lots of great stories, the other bartender was younger with a beard (Dave) and was very friendly and made a very delicious, freshly made Coconut Kiss. Definitely recommend!!!!!!

A tiki bar is a must whenever I'm traveling and this place has been up there for best decorated. What kept me to only one drink was the bartender. He was honest and said he doesn't drink nothing in the menu, which had us skeptical of ordering. When we did, mostly everything was pre made, which came out fine but not as good as comparison to authentic tiki bars. I give it 4 stars for value as for 4$ extra you get to keep your tiki cup, which usually go for at least 20$.

Tiki decor is amazing, drinks and atmosphere disappointing.

Decor is 5 stars, service was good but the drinks are minor league at best. Loud loud EDM kills any chill vibe they might have achieved back in their heyday. Mai tai was a 2.5 out of 5, bartenders were confused when asked about "good rum" and provided me with a shot of mezcal as an example of their rum. Probably won't visit again - looking for a frat party and or/bachelorette party sort of vibe? You would love it.

We loved tiki lounge!! Themed bathroom are a must see!!My drinks didn't come in a fun cup though :( but they were pretty good! If you want to get food you have to go across the street. Not ideal

What an awesome place! Must go and check out! This bar is the cutest and has such lively bartenders. The place looks small but you'll be surprised that it isn't that small and it's full of fun. Our first time and first night in Pittsburgh and we discovered Carson St and ran into this Gem. Very cool bar, good music, such a good vibe. This place will not dissapoint. Drinks were good, There was $1.00 cover charge. Bartenders are easy going get your drink out quickly and super friendly. I would definitely be coming back here next time I come to Pittsburgh hopefully soon. We had so much fun at this place and ended up here 2x in the 4 nights were visiting. Shell is amazing!!! Hope to you you guys soon!!

(I reviewed my free meal under the listing for that event.) My husband is not a Yelper, so he paid for his meal. Guacamole and tostadas - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. The tostadas were nicely crispy and had the perfect amount of salt. The guacamole was fresh. My husband said that it was probably the best value that we have even gotten for chips and guacamole at any restaurant. Carne-asada street tacos - 3.5 stars - Again, the serving size was large. The tortillas reminded me a bit of my husband's Mexican grandma's tortillas. As for the carne-asada meat, my husband said, "I don't know what that was supposed to be." Eek! However, he added, "The beans and rice are very good. There's definitely a Mexican in that kitchen." Well, I do not know who the chefs are, but I hope that they accept that last comment as a compliment. These two menu items cost $42 plus tax and tip.

Started out with the steak tartare ($25). Came on a piece of grilled toast, which added a smoky flavor. Honestly, the tartare was good, but not worth $. The presentation of it spread across the toast was different; the toast to meat ratio was disappointing. You tasted more of the bread than the meat, and there really wasn't any "wow" factor to the flavor; it was bland. Bread service is $6 for 6 small slices of a baguette with a giant hunk of salted butter. I did enjoy the salt flakes on the butter. The sea bass ($42-45) was SO VERY SALTY. It was inedible for me as it was overly salty, and I add salt to everything, which says a lot. The skin was very crispy which was a nice touch, and the peas underneath were cooked well -- soft yet still snappy and crisp. The fish itself was slightly overcooked and dry. The duck ($45) was flavorful. The meat had a nice char to the outside, and was overall nice. The green sauce on the side was not great; it tasted bland and unpleasant, almost with a weird taste to it. Not what I would expect from an herb based sauce, as I didn't taste any herbs or acid (lemon? Vinegar?) in the sauce. The ambiance is great, with open garage type windows that allow for a nice breeze to accompany you throughout your meal. The seats are comfy, and the noise level isn't too loud. Service was efficient and our server was very kind. Overall, I wouldn't return for the food. Maybe for drinks, which are priced in $17-$20 for a cocktail. Very disappointing given the rave and pricing.
