They asked if I needed any assistance with having them call to check the medication's availability - and, after I'd told them that I could handle making a few calls - they followed up to make sure I was all taken care of. (I must say - I felt as if I were a family member of the staff, with the attentive way that they treated me.) We went back a few weeks later - just to have my son get his eye looked at after an allergic reaction - they saw him right away - got him some eye drops and had the note ready (for school) before we even checked out! In a world where impersonal medical visits have become the norm, the level of care provided by Physician's Assistants Shane and Patrycja is nothing short of extraordinary. The assistant came out of the office & told me to sign in & then she took my temperature which was 98.6. I return to my chair. The wait was about 20 minutes and I was called to go into the examination room followed by Dr. Layne. She wrote down the required information that I gave her. I was weighed & examined by the doctor. She told me that I had irritable bowl syndrome & that I was to keep a 6 week dairy of everything that I ate. She told me the food & beverages that I could not eat or drink. Dr. Layne sent me up to the Northwell Labs for blood work. I was relieved that I finally had taken action & I was in the hands of Dr. Layne who was calm and I definitely feel that both she and I will put an end to my misery.

He was rarely at the facility and only seemed to stop in during the evening. He made changes to medications that were not explained to the patient and when we questioned the staff about these changes (the patient was having serious side effects and there were potentially bad interactions between all the drugs being prescribed.) We were told the changes were "Doctor's orders" and that they had no other information about why the changes were made. Our personal physician requested that Dr. Bulsara contact him. Dr. Bulsara claimed to have spoken with our doctor, but never did! Completely unprofessional! In addition, Dr. Bulsara did not take kindly to being questioned and became even less cooperative (which wasn't easy, seeing as how he was barely ever there anyway!) I twice called his office during business hours. Not only was there no professional greeting or receptionist the first time; the phone went unanswered the second time. During business hours! I tried not to imagine what would happen if there had been an emergency. When I reached him, he said he would meet me later that evening at the facility, but when I arrived 15 minutes before the time he said he would be there, I met him leaving the building! He said he had to do something personal related to his child but became angry when I questioned the poor treatment his patient was receiving, why he had claimed to have spoken with our personal physician when he hadn't, and how little time he seemed to spend actually looking after his patients. I did not see his name anywhere mentioned in conjunction with this rehab facility. If I had, I would have found another unfavorable review about him and would have chosen a different facility. We took our loved one out of the Sands Point facility and on the day of his scheduled release, discovered that Dr. Bulsara had failed to sign the necessary paperwork! Scheduling an appointment was simple. I found the receptionists very professional and helpful. This was my first visit at the Pro Health building and parking was easy. We checked in and registered and met with Dr. Hayman. He was gentle, friendly and offered great realistic, inexpensive suggestions to address my daughter's scalp. He filled her prescription and hours later we received a text that our prescription was ready at our local CVS. We will follow up with him in a few weeks and we are looking forward to our visit. His gentle demeanor and calming presence brings such a relaxing atmosphere whenever we go in for my little ones skin checkup. My son was suffering from eczema on both his face and body, leading to itching from the irritation which then lead to open sores. As a first time parent it was horrible and we referred to this office through friends. Took months to get an appointment but so worth it. We received what I call a miracle cream, skin sores completely gone after a week and it's been a year now and skin still smooth and irritant free. Bring your infant/toddler here for any dermatologist issue, it's 100% worth that wait!
