HRS was able to get him caught back up to 1st grade level after slipping in Kindergarten. Since then he has thrived both academically and socially. The level of education provided by caring teachers and staff definitely helped him become the well rounded student he is. The teachers, their curriculum and dedication to student development is evident in the kids and provides every student the base to move on comfortably into High school. An equally important and valuable part of HRS is the family and parent community. Definitely one of the best group of people to share the challenges of raising children through elementary and middle school. The way that everyone comes together to make sure fundraising is a success and traditions are handed down is absolutely special. A final point that stands out to me is how HRS handled the events of Covid. Terrible as it was for everyone, HRS anticipated the possible impact on our kids and literally days before the "shutdown" we were told that as a precaution each child would be given a box of work and supplies. Then when the unfortunate happened, the teachers and staff stepped up immediately and prepared for families to pick up the remaining supplies needed to work remotely. It happened so fast and seamlessly, it was awe inspiring. Hopefully, we are never faced with that again, but I can't imagine a better place to be. I can't recommend HRS enough, from the front office ladies that keep the day moving smoothly, to the after school aids that provide such care, Holy Rosary is worth every penny and more.

There are a few 1* rating but they are people that don't communicate they just demand. Some are emotional comments because o their circumstances. I believe an ex employee was disgruntled. I would absolutely choose this place. They need to realize they are not your slaves. Most DD/UE are 15min out with most restaurants in Issaquah and Sammamish. The employees at merry, jovial and friendly. You can't measure their value because they are priceless.

I learned some many cool activities while there. I learned how to ride the unicycle while in Kindergarten, rode the 6" unicycle in the end part of second grade, handstands, jump rope, pulls ups. And because I learned how to do all those things, we had a show called the Ice Cream social. Family and friends would come to watch us perform for them. Great memories while going there for school.

Parents are mostly always involved and its always nice to know your kids get more attention since the classes are not overcrowded. When my son is old enough to start school, this may be the one we might enroll him in, if our income permits it! But the Catholicism is very much a huge part of this schools teaching as well as the basic education, they really make it an importance how much they want parents to work with their children with their studies to succeed. This one is, by far, my favorite--he has been seen, included, & loved from day 1. He enrolled as a McKinney-Vento student last year while we were blessed enough to figure out a temporary housing situation. His school has a rating of 2/10 on the main school review websites. It is a Title I school with majority low income families, 78% of students being non-white, and almost 20% of students having IEPs or 504 plans. All students qualify for free/reduced lunch & are sent home on Fridays with a packed bag of weekend meals. The curriculum and day-to-day has been full of color, curiosity, and neurodivergent-friendly practices. He hasn't encountered any weirdness around having queer parents at this school & this is the first place we haven't had to educate his educators on alternatives to addressing parent labels, family tree assignments, father's day art, and the like. They talk about consent and non-violence and mutual respect and pronouns and gender diversity and make space for cultural celebration. Just a friendly reminder that school ratings systems are racist, classist, & ableist. Grateful for the universe leading us exactly where we needed to be & grateful for the educators who show up despite the limited tools they have to work with and make. it. happen. She comes home each day truly happy. She has FUN at school and loves the kids and teachers. This is not a child factory- each child is well known, loved, and well cared for. We have gotten to know the other kids and families well. This school has something very special and unique. It's an amazing place for children to thrive! We love the small class size and individual attention each child receives. My husband is bilingual (English and Spanish) so we are particularly interested in our daughter becoming exposed to and ultimately proficient in the Spanish language. I feel this is a first rate program and we have been very pleased so far with our experience at Cometa.
