On one side of the love seat the back and the seat cushion collapsed and we turn in a warranty on the furniture, on 8/29/2025. They sent a tech out to look at the damage and he agreed that it was a flaw in the furniture. He turned in a request for warranty work, on 9/6/2025. They ordered a back cushion and then a seat cushion. This was in less than six weeks from them delivering the furniture to our house. I was told it could take up to 4 to 6 weeks to get the parts. The parts were delivered and changed out at our residence on 12/27/2025. That is a over 12 weeks from the time the parts were ordered. Less then 2 days later the same fault showed up on the cushions that were replaced. Now it is too the point out cannot be set in. I am turning in anothe warranty tomorrow 12/31/2025. We bought the warranty and when my roomba caught on the side fabric they sent a local repair company to install the new fabric and it looks great. On my power piece they repaired the fabric but messed up the mechanics. I called to complain and they said that the warranty doesn't cover mechanics. I explained that the technician messed it up and the first gal spoke to her supervisor and said they'd come look at it. They've come twice without parts and when I called the warranty company today they called back and said the same thing, that my warranty only covers fabric not mechanics. It's ridiculous that they wouldn't cover damage they caused!!! DON'T WASTE A DIME ON LAZ-Y-BOY FURNITURE!!! AND ESPECIALLY THE WARRANTY!!!

It annoys me that I have to even give a star because nothing about this experience has been good…read more About a month ago, we purchased a Langley Power Reclining Loveseat. We had it for two weeks and noticed it had a tear in one of the seats that was starting to open. We contacted the store who referred us to customer service. After explaining this to them, sending photos etc. they determined that it was "normal wear and tear" and we could get a new seat casing for $173. We could not believe that was considered normal wear and tear after two weeks, We had hardly sat in it, we don't have small children, we hadn't had any visitors since we got it, it was just me and my husband sitting in it for a couple hours a night watching tv. If this is considered normal wear & tear after two weeks, in six months it will be rubble. This is definitely a quality issue, because after really looking it over the leather on the seats feels much thinner than on the rest on the loveseat. We have a leather couch that we got from Ashley Furniture that is 15 years old that doesn't have a scratch on it, we take care of our things. So after the back and forth with customer service managers, they basically said they could only refer us to someone to fix it. That person texted yesterday (and was very unprofessional) and told us it would be $300 to fix it. So we spent around $2500 + delivery on this loveseat and Star Furniture will not it stand behind it - this is why the 1 year limited warranty is worthless, because obviously they can just call anything wear and tear and not have to stand behind it. We felt ok spending that much because when we buy furniture, we have it for years and years so for this to last two weeks is nauseating! The loveseat is now on close out so we don't have to worry about other people being able to buy it for long, but beware of Star Furniture. We were looking for several other pieces of furniture but we will NEVER shop at Star Furniture again.

Then it took them over a week to come out and look at the chair. Then another two weeks to get the part and now tell me another two weeks to install the new parts. So annoying because obviously if you buy a lift chair you NEED the chair.

It hasn't been that long since LaZBoy was regarded as a premier furniture store. They stood behind…read morethe quality of every piece they sold with a lifetime warranty. We've owned LaZBoy recliners for more than 40 years. Although, their warranty for their products has been severely reduced, I suppose because they quality is no longer nearly as good as it once was. Anyway, we bought a dual electric recliner loveseat from them a few years ago. Just a couple months ago the recliner ceased working well. The mechanism to make it recline has basically failed. I called LaZBoy service and was promptly told the piece had no warranty, but for a small fortune they'd be glad to attempt to repair it with no guarantee. Recently, we had a water leak in our home and the insurance company moved all of our furniture out while they made repairs. When they returned our furniture, the LaZBoy recliner electrical cable, to connect it to the wall plug was missing. We discovered this on December 18th. I contacted our local LaZBoy store about getting a replacement for this cord, but was promptly redirected to a Dallas phone number for all Service & Parts. I called the number and it was of course not answered. The "Greeting" indicated that all messages would be promptly answered in 24 to 48 yours. I confused by the word "promptly." Pressing on, I left a lengthy message as to our need and reinforced we were expecting family for Christmas and therefore my need was urgent. Over the next few days, I called repeatedly leaving the same voice message. Finally, I received a call directing me to another person who I should contact via email. I quickly sent an email to the next individual in line. I received a response the next day... surprise! She asked for pictures of the cable coming from the back of the loveseat, which I immediately sent back. The following day I received a response asking for a picture of the tag under the bottom of the loveseat. I immediately sent that picture back. Monday, after the weekend, I received another email asking for several more pictures of the cable connector. It's now well past Christmas and our family have come and gone. My frustration level has risen to the breaking point. If your happen to consider purchasing a LaZBoy furniture piece, just imagine my experience with this company. Ask yourself if you are willing to put yourself in my shoes by purchasing a low quality furniture piece with virtually no warranty or service, unless of course you shell out an ungodly amount of money are have the patience of Jobe.

In December, we received a call that our furniture was in but that the sofa arrived damaged so they would to repair before delivery which was also ok. They delivered the recliner and ottoman but charged us for the sofa too. I wasn't terribly concerned since they said we would get the sofa in 5 week. 6 weeks later we call the store manager, Liza who gave us the runaround. After 6 calls with zero progress, I call her again and she sounds annoyed that we want to know where our $3500 couch is that we already paid for. Extremely dismissive and rude. She also then informs us we should've been calling another number directly which she never gave us before. No one picks up at that number, by the way. Finally we call another manager at the De Zavala store who actually acts like a manager and listens to us. He makes a couple of calls and we have the couch about 7 days later. Very nice and professional. I usually do a ton of research before buying anything over a few hundred dollars but I slacked this time because I trusted the La-Z-Boy name. My dad has a 20 year old recliner he loves that's still in great shape. When we ran into our issues, I got on social media to see if others experienced they same and they sure did. Plenty of upset people. Calls to the headquarters are not even picked up. When I reached out on social media, they said they can't do anything to help with independent retailer outlets even though it's a LB store. Side note: when I commented on the LB Facebook page that I was disappointed with my experience. Someone others started chiming in too with their own poor experience La so they blocked us. We were not disrespectful. Just stating our experience. Our furniture seems fine for now but I'm not confident the warranty I purchased will actually prove to be worth anything due to the hassle I had to go through just to get it. I saw one post on social media form someone saying their furniture was taken in for repair and he had yet to see it again 6 months later. Moral of the story: Do your research. This isn't your parents LazBoy. The customer service is particularly awful. The 2 star is only because we do like the furniture so far and the manager at De Zavala was able to make it right. I would not do this again though. Not for spending almost $7k with them.
