I've spent the weekend trying to decide what, if anything, to post about my experience with Couture Floors. After a lot of thought and tears, I felt I needed to share my story so that no other women go through what I did.
There were a few issues during installation, but it was all handled. After the crew had left, I noticed that a mirror that was mounted on the back of a closet door was missing. I looked everywhere that made sense (and a few places that didn't) and simply couldn't find it. I sent a text to the sales person asking him to check with the installers. What followed would have been comical except that it wasn't handled with humor or any type of good will.
Within a span of two hours, I received a call, followed by the installation crew showing back up on my doorstep, followed by the sales person on my doorstep, followed by the owner showing up. All over a $40 mirror. Which the installers removed from the door and placed on a shelf above my head. White framed mirror, white shelf. I couldn't see it. Sounds like great customer service, right? Except that wasn't what was happening. The crew tells the salesperson that I accused them of stealing it which NEVER happened. The salesperson relays this to the owner who then feels it his duty to come to my home and berate me. Yes, you read that correctly. He showed up on my doorstep visibly angry.
I stupidly thought he was there to apologize for the mix up. Instead he stood in my foyer and verbally assaulted me for calling his crew liars. When denied saying that, he screamed "are you saying my son is lying?" Twice. At that point I told him to leave my home. Since he was still yelling, I had to do it twice.
I am a 63 year old woman with health issues. Not that that really matters. No one, regardless of age should be made to feel afraid in their own home. The fact that he felt ok doing that to an older woman says a lot about the owner. It took me a few minutes to get over the shock of what had happened. Then the shaking started, followed by tears of rage. How dare a man do that? I was sick with the idea that I just paid someone to treat me that badly. The saddest part is that I'm fairly certain he doesn't see how many lines he crossed and probably never will. read more
