Apparently I had…read morereceived defective carpet, so it would pull out easily and also the carpet had a pattern stain that you could clearly see once vacuumed. It also had several gaps where the seams met. The installers assured me this was normal and that the seams would fade. I was shocked considering the price we paid for the carpet. Also, I asked a few experts in the area and they also agreed this was not correct at all. Well two weeks later and it honestly looked worse. So I called them back. They "fixed" the seams they said and left. I didn't have a chance to look before they left as I was on a work call. I checked shortly after and same deal. I ended up calling my project manager at Sunn and she came right out to check. Well lo and behold, she immediately could tell something was wrong even though the installers assured me twice that everything was ship shape. She had me send over a piece of the carpet to get tested by the vendor. That ended up being about a one month waiting period. The vendor got back to me and agreed that the carpet was defective and offered a full replacement at zero charge. They were extremely compassionate and empathetic, so it made me feel much better since the installers made me feel like I was going nuts. So we got the second install done on the carpet and it is MUCH better. There are still issues at a couple seams, so I am not 100% thrilled. But it did take care of the major issues we had. To be honest, I was pretty surprised the whole time that the GM or owner of Sunn carpet didn't follow up on this at all. The only thing that saved them from a one star review was their project manager to be honest. So I am so appreciative of her help in all of this. But I do think that better quality control would help this company a lot. Also, a follow-up after install to ensure customer satisfaction should be standard. But it is what it is. I would be a bit hesitant to use them for my next fooring project given the circumstances. But at least it wasn't left in the state of the first install. DM me if you would like the first or second install pics. If I posted the first install pics here I think it would severely hurt this business, so I refrained from that.

I ordered my Karndean floor through FLG because they had the best prices, and decided to use Eddie since he came recommended by FLG. It is important to note that customers are not required to use Premier Flooring Installations if they buy flooring through FLG, but Eddie does get recommended if a customer doesn't already "have a guy." Eddie came out to our new house to measure and make sure he ordered the correct amount of supplies for us. His total quote was very similar to what we had seen at another, very reputable, flooring company. I wish he would have ordered a little more flooring as we were only left with 1 extra box at the end, and would have preferred 2 in case something happens, but that is just my preference. We were fine with his quote, since if the quote was too low it would have been a red flag. Once the quote was approved, Eddie sent it over to FLG and they called to confirm and then got the order put in for us. Everything came in within a couple of days and Eddie wanted to get started right away. The first day they pulled up the horrible laminate sheet flooring in our house (seriously, who puts that in a new home?) and they were supposed to be leveling out the floors. However, when I went out to the house to drop off some items, I took a peek inside the doors (didn't go in because the leveling compound was still wet) and saw an absolute disaster! There was debris in the compound (think dirt, leftover glue, and bits of flooring and grass), it didn't appear to be smooth or level AT ALL, and there were footprints in it where the workers had walked through the wet compound! This is a definite no-no, so I texted Eddie that night to let him know that I was concerned. At first Eddie was very defensive of his guys, said they would never walk through while it was still wet (even though I sent him pictures of the foot prints), and that he would take a look in the morning. Well, low and behold, when he went in the morning, he admitted that it was an unacceptable job and he would have them scrape it off and start over. Now, I can't say if his crew would have tried to install our flooring over that mess or not if we hadn't said something, but I will say it is very important to always keeps tabs on any construction work happening in your home for just this reason! They did spend the second day removing the previous day's mess and releveling the floors. When I checked on it the second night, it was loads better. The entire job (1700 sq ft) was done in 4 days, including installing and painting the quarter round and baseboards (which look awesome). The floors look beautiful, and we are very happy with them, but it does seem like there may be some slight "low spots" that I will keep an eye on. Eddie did send out a guy to take a look at our concerns with those spots, as well as some uneveness in the master bathroom and they helped my husband shim and level the toilet, which was nice. Eddie does guarantee his work for 1 year from date of install, so if something does go wrong, I can contact him. I am overall pleased with the work, but if you hire Eddie, make sure you check on the work every day in case his "guys" don't exhibit the same work ethic as Eddie himself.
