Shady is the word that comes to mind here.. Lots of tile places that won't try and stick it to you. We picked out tile here and Sallyann was happy & quick to take our money last week, 2600.00 worth. The next day she called and said the tile was zeroed and that they couldn't get it. At this point i asked them to cancel the entire order, we will have to start over and it wouldn't be here due to the outrageous delivery fees of $580.00 (to Coral Springs) this is double what most charge. Well its a week later and sally still telling me they are waiting for the "accountant" to come back in and issues my credit. This was an awful experience, no company should be able to hold our money for any period of time, like I said SHADY!! read more

The absolute BEST place in South Florida for tiles and mosaics! I am a strong proponent of giving credit where due. This review gives full credit to Tiles of Pompano and its owner, Jill. I met my contractor in a chain tile store 2 years ago but he brought me to Tiles of Pompano when it was time to refloor my home. I did not meet Jill until a year later and she has become nothing but a life saver for me. Except for one bathroom, my entire home is fully remodeled with products from Tiles of Pompano. The tiles and mosaics in Lowe's and Home Depot never appealed to me, so I tried Floor and Décor and some other family-owned tile stores in the area, none of which wowed me. I visited store after store in search of the perfect gray wood flooring but everything I stumbled upon looked cheesy. I do not know if it is the layout, quantity, quality, or the complete and consistent respect from each worker at this spot but you need not look any further if you are shopping for tiles. I certainly have not; the drive is well worth it. As a person of color who has visited the store often, I have never been disrespected, ignored, or felt invisible by any of the employees. That is NOT common! They seem to treat everyone this way, taking as much time with the customer as needed. The store is very inviting and the items are displayed in a manner that makes it easy to explore. I needed help with the design of my master bath after my original design went south. Jill (owner who I had not yet met) came over to where I stood and asked me to open my mind for what she was about to suggest. Oh - My - God! I would have never (in a million years) thought to look at the tiles she recommended much less put the combination together. I sat on the floor (yes, there is a seating area but the store is that immaculate!) and contemplated whether the look was in fact "me"; Jill got right on the floor with me, presenting various mosaics to accompany the tiles. The first mosaic she presented turned out to be the winner; she has "the eye" that I clearly do not. I absolutely love my new bathroom. However, my contractor ran into some difficulty that caused damage to some of the tiles - and other issues. I reached out to Jill to inquire about repairing the damage and let's just say that Jill, who owes me absolutely nothing, has held my hand for 5 months now. She contacted her distributor and has gone above and beyond to help me rectify the superficial flaws in the work. I sometime feel guilty because I am a customer who has already been rendered service yet I continue to take up so much of her time. She has not once complained or made me feel bad; she is empathic and cares only that my bathroom is 100% as we envisioned as we sat together on the showroom floor. If you are looking for tiles and mosaics for your home, you must visit Tiles of Pompano. Chris and all the folks there are just as friendly, helpful, and professional. The tiles are of better quality and the costs appears to be comparable to the chain stores. You owe it to yourself to make this a pit stop in your renovation project. Do not buy anything from this store because they will not issue a refund. Our bathroom installer said the lastillo strips did not fit together so we wanted a refund and the store would not give it to us. Lowes and Home Depot and Floor Decor takes the tiles back no questions asked. So now we are stuck with over a hundred dollars worth of lastillo that we paid for. We will in the future aske stores for their refund policy. read more

Probably the worst experience I had with a business in south Florida. I purchased new kitchen, bathroom cabinets, flooring for my entire unit and wall tile for my shower. I dealt with one of the employees who was stealing the materials from this place and when I went to obtain my cabinets from the warehouse Jill the owner would not release them to me until the employee I dealt with paid her money that he owed her. I had to pay his debt to get my cabinets. Now 3 years later I have had problems with the shower tile floor leaking and the owner has not sent anyone to look at the problem after I had called several times for help. read more

Our service representative was Micky and she was great ! Micky patiently showed us a variety of tiles until we made up our mind. Micky ordered our supplies and arranged for our installer to pick them up at their warehouse, and bring them to our unit. Fabio was the installer we selected from the list of quality installers Tiles of Pompano provided us with. Fabio was Fantastic. Within 2 weeks he removed our old tiles, installed new tiles, whisper mat soundproofing, grouting and new baseboard. His crew moved the furniture and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards ! There are plenty of tile stores around. I would never buy anything from Tiles of Pompano ever again. Why would I? I had a very bad experience with the woman who owns the business. There are many other tile stores nearby from which to choose. My advice is to go somewhere else. Read the Yelp reviews and select another tile store. You'll be glad you did. I am not going to elaborate about my experience but why take a chance. Go somewhere else. If you are purchasing tile for a project you don't need to be aggravated unnecessarily. I went to another tile store after my experience with the woman who owns Tiles of Pompano and had no problem and, sure, I agree, you can't always rely on these social media reviews like this one because there are almost always disgruntled reviewers some of whom are just plain crazy or have ulterior motives.
