Mr. Richard Torres came out on a Saturday and took care of the A/C ducts that weren't properly installed, causing leaks from all of the holes. Do not use Tillmans. $15,465, for a 3 ton with a 5 year warranty. They caused problems with my compressor, on the 6th service call, finally put in the new part. I asked for the price of my 5 year warranty back and the service manager laughed at me, "we don't give refunds" he said. I said I want to talk to the owner, the service manager Aaron said Lucas would be calling me back, he never did. Working with Tillmans has been horrible and they are not honest or knowledgeable, overpriced and not helpful. Our house is still not cold, and they couldn't help me with what they had already installed, instead they quoted Me another $9,000 to move my ducts around. The sad part is, the Tillmans Farm is near my house, you would think they would want to make it right. Now when I'm out exercising I see their road and all I feel is an overwhelming sick feeling in my stomach that I got scammed by the neighbors. read more

Quality of service is impeccable; servicemen are extremely competent and knowledgeable; and great value for the money.

Stay away from this company. Had them install system for new build. The system was poorly designed. Hot spots in some room and others freeze or burn you out. The technicians seem to be competent but if you are looking for a new system they do not know what they are doing and you will be dissappointed. Also, i have complained several times and requested call back from Tillmans in reference to the problems and have not recieved any call back. Their whole team was super nice! From the trouble call, technician, estimator, to the installers, I felt like they all had top notch personalities. They arrived early, introduce themselves and did their work. To my sadness, they recommended replacing the system (12 years of service). An Estimator was summoned and asked various questions about what it wanted, what was important, how long I've been in the community I want to start by acknowledging the positives: the team from Tillman AC was friendly, showed up 20 minutes early, and came across as personable and knowledgeable. They wore protective boot covers inside our home and took proper measurements during the quoting process, which showed attention to detail and respect for our home. The estimated installation was 2-4 hours. My system was very accessible and thought to be a breeze. An unforeseen family emergency arose which required an installer to be taken back to the shop. The other installer (in training) was left to "Solo the installation". After some time passed another well mannered, personable, and experienced installer came to assist. After nearly 8 hours the team had completed, tested and vocally introduce me to my new thermostat operations. Unfortunately, the installation experience fell well short of expectations. Communication was poor throughout. During the quote, I made it clear that I wanted to keep my existing Google Nest thermostat. Despite this, the installation technician removed and discarded it, replacing it with a basic model. At my request the Google Nest was recovered from the trash and returned to me, the screen was scratched and damaged--an expensive loss that could have been avoided with better communication. Additionally,on the way out, one of the workers ran over my wife's flower pot in our yard. Although they appeared to try to put it back together, no one mentioned it or apologized, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Another issue arose with billing. We were told the initial service call fee would be deducted from the installation cost, but it was not. We had to catch this oversight and correct it ourselves before final payment--again, poor communication and follow-through. To top it all off, we received no paperwork whatsoever after the installation. No receipt, no operating manuals, no product warranty information, and no company warranty documentation. This is a serious concern, especially for such an important and expensive home system. Unfortunately, while the first impression was promising, the overall experience was disappointing and left us with several unresolved issues. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and improves its post-quote service, communication, and professionalism. read more

I just paid $141 dollars for a weekend service call. All I needed was a capacitor for my outside unit and I knew that already. The guy came and agreed I needed the capacitor for that unit and offered other things I could use of various prices. In the end he said I would have to pay $660 for a new capacitor for my outside unit and my inside fan blower. Capacitors are only about 10 to 15 bucks. I asked how much to replace the outside capacitor which is all I needed for my unit to run. I was told $440 with the service call. The service call as I said was $141. The part is $15 tops. I can replace it myself if I had the part but being late Saturday the parts place is closed. So even in Mississippi math after the service call to replace a capacitor was going to be $300 for a $15 part that can be replaced in about 2 minutes tops. This place will rob you. I will be getting a new system at some point in the future but I promise you it will not be from this company. Let me say, I have had to have the same capacitor replaced before and without the service call it was $40. This is unacceptable and this company should and probably will fail. Our builder used Tillmans to install two systems in our new home which were Rhem units. We moved into our home in early 2021 and since then they have been to our home no less than 8 times for problems with the units and mostly the workmanship of the installation leaks etc. You would think that it would be covered under warranty but from day 1 bills followed which I paid. The latest one over 1000 dollars in June of 2023 for leaks etc. I sent them a email on the last bill with no response, I paid the bill always taken the higher road. We are starting a new home and I have instructed the builder not to use them. I am yet to hear we are sorry or a call from a manager. We called Monday morning and we had a nice technician out by 1pm that day. He went through the whole system and made sure everything was good to go and we weren't going to be in for any surprises! Tillman's has earned a customer for life, not because they can install/service HVAC systems better than anyone else, but because of how well they treated me under adversity. I hired Tillman's to install a brand new HVAC system and replace the existing ductwork in my house. They gave me a few reasonably priced options, I picked one, and their crew was at my house within a few days to install the system. Unfortunately, a few days later, the new system started to malfunction, eventually quitting altogether. As you might imagine, I wasn't very happy to have paid for a brand new system that didn't work. But there's a reason this a 5 star review, and it's because of how they handled this situation. They had technician at my house every single day for a week and a half trying everything under the sun to get the system to operate correctly. All of their technicians know their stuff. These are guys that have been servicing HVACs for 30+ years in some cases - shoutout Alan! The service manager, Doyle, always returned my calls immediately, and was extremely apologetic and adamant that they would make things right no matter what it took. They spent considerable time and effort trying to fix what ultimately ended up being an unfixable manufacturing defect. As annoyed as I was with the situation, I couldn't fault what they did in trying to resolve it - they really did put their best foot forward. After many attempts at fixing the issue, overnighting replacement parts (at their cost) a few times, they took it upon themselves to arrange for another brand new unit to be installed, BEFORE the manufacturer agreed to warranty the existing unit. They ate a huge amount of cost to make things right. These guys do a fine job at a reasonable price, and more importantly, stand behind their work no matter what it takes. Those are rare qualities in service businesses these days. What more can you ask for? read more

PRICE GOUGING: Another Co. was recommended but that Co. passed the job on to these guys. My AC was leaking water. This unit is relatively new. We were told it needed cleaning out, and since the unit in the condo was somewhat tricky to get to, the charge was going to be $600. I told them NO. Another Co. fixed it for $161. Still had to pay Tillman's $94. BEWARE & AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS if you're not game on inflated price-gouging! LESSON LEARNED. Now at least I know who to call & who NOT to call. read more

What I was hopeful would be great service, turned out to be the worst customer service/no service at all. My AC went out on a Sunday, and after a few attempts that late afternoon I was unable to get anyone on the phone to help me with the fix. Instead, I called a few first thing Monday morning during my commute to work. The first company (unnamed) didn't have an open schedule till the following day. The second company (to be named later) had a service fee over $100 just to visit. I had already called/looked online so I thought this was slightly on the crazy side based on their competition. The third company, had a fair service charge and an afternoon opening to get me fixed up. In this case, Tillman's Heating and Air. She was honest and upfront, that it was a busy day ahead but that it would be sometime after lunch and the technician would call about when they were on the way to my residence. Not ideal, but since I had just called that morning I thought it was excellent and ensured them I'd be ready. Since I work in Biloxi I took half the day off (from noon onward) to make sure I would be ready when they arrived. At 3 pm, no call. So I called back just to make sure all was good as the day progressed. I was assured that I was on the schedule. The technician was handling one more call ahead of mine, but in the area, and would be coming to my residence next. By close of business I had no technician... no fixed AC... and no call to even tell me they were sorry they would be unable to make it. I would have been okay with that phone call... imagine it might have even had a small discount on their service fee. But no, there was nothing. I was simply left to wonder when I went to bed if I was on the schedule at all this week???? The next morning I called, no answer (surprise?) and left a message that I would no longer be needing their service and went with a competitor that fit me in that same morning and got me all fixed up! Even after the "thanks for leaving me hanging" call, they still didn't reply to apologize. Worst Customer Service I think I've every had. Especially when you consider I would pay the person to show up and tell me there is/isn't anything wrong!! Unless you get some super special discount with this company, I would highly recommend you try their competition before calling Tillman's. Check my other reviews for my choice/recommendation. My sisters in law bought a unit from them in 2014 and paid over 7,000.00 for it with a 10 yr warranty. Called them yesterday, 02-12-2021 and they told her there was nothing they could do because she was still under warranty but didn't register it. She registers even her 30.00 screen protector for her phone, what a rip off this company is. So she's stuck at home as a single parent with 2 daughters in the coldest weather of the season because her fan went out. read more
