I didn't care because it didn't affect me but out of urgency I had to purchase a car through them and they did the SAME THING TO ME. Spoke with Dale who said the package is "non refundable" and that they're not willing to do a goodwill statement but instead want me to trade in my car. WHY do I continue to punish myself dealing with Tim Dahle?? Because you're a glutton for punishment? No because they own the extended warranty company and won't let me take it to a Jeep dealer that knows what they are doing. Well it only took them 14 days to get the approval from their warranty company to fix it. And the now 14 day saga continues. I get to Tim Dahle to pick up my jeep. I go to pay my $110 deductible and they add a 2.6% surcharge for using a credit card and then I have to ask for a receipt that matches my total charge. I'm a small bussiness and don't pass that credit card charge along to my customers. It's just a cost of doing business. Wait It gets better...I go out to my Jeep and start It up and the "auto start/stop" light is still on. Paperwork shows It being addressed and resolved. I bring the service person out and show her. No lie, she says, maybe we will have to take It over to Jeep. What? it was already there two weeks ago and you made me bring it to TD!! My friends PLEASE don't do business with these people!! Awful Service, Dishonest Upselling, and Careless Work! Took my Nissan in because my AC/heat was making a high-pitched noise. The service advisor (manager) tried to upsell me a $150 cabin air filter replacement--for a $22 part! I declined and did it myself after a quick YouTube search, cleaned the air box and replaced the filter. Unfortunately, the noise was still there, so I checked under the hood and discovered they had left my battery covers up and shoved the filter back in incorrectly! Completely careless work. To make matters worse, the service advisor had a terrible attitude the moment I declined their overpriced service. Meanwhile, I'm standing there looking at their upsell competition board written on the window--clearly, they're more focused on commissions and prizes than actual customer care. If I didn't have a warranty (that doesn't even cover this type of service), I wouldn't come back here at all. Absolutely terrible experience! I bought a used car from here in December of 2025. It had a check engine light on and the front windshield was cracked, but they promised that they would fix it before I could take it home. When I asked what caused the check engine light, they would not tell me. I did not receive my car until January of 2026. Here's where the problems began. When I went to pick up said car, the light was gone, but the windshield was still cracked. I pointed it out, and they seemed to have "forgotten" that they promised to fix that before I could pick it up. It took a week before they could send someone over to my house to replace the glass. Then, not even THREE MONTHS later, the entire motor dies. They sold me a defective car. Thank god that I bought a "bumper to bumper" warranty. Tim Dahle Nissan Murray had my car in the shop for 37 DAYS!! The whole time, they refused to give me a rental car. I spent $489.40 on Lyft rides alone. Mind you, this amount does not include the miles or gas used on rides I had to obtain from family members. When I finally got my car back last week, I had to pay Tim Dahle an additional $552.24 for the services. Though, as an apology, they did a complimentary A/C recharge on my car. I DID NOT ASK FOR THAT. Now, three days later, I have to take my car back in because THEY BROKE MY A/C!!! They are a joke. A vehicle was listed online for $19,465, but after a test drive and spending nearly 3 hours at the dealership, we were informed that the price was a mistake and the actual cost was $33,000. This was extremely misleading and a complete waste of our time. 3. The website also advertised a $4,000 IRS rebate in addition to the listed price. However, once we arrived, we were told that the rebate was already included in the listing--which contradicts what was advertised. Shady, dishonest and manipulative. We had a car we were interested in so we went and took it for a test drive. Liked the car, and proceeded to express our interest in buying. We said multiple times through the process that we wanted to pay cash. But they kept pushing financing and then said they had to go and find out what the cash price would be. Left us waiting for a half hour at a time. Why would you not know the price of the car you are selling? Finally comes back with an absurd over the market value of the car price for the cash price. Clearly trying to manipulate us into financing. Felt gaslit the whole time. Probably should have left right then and there, but we were interested in the car. We finally agreed to financing if we could pay off the loan early, so I guess they got what they wanted with their shady tactics. Then we were waiting on financing for paperwork for over 2 hours. Again, we probably should have left at this point. Finally we meet with the financing employee and he has added on multiple fees and warranties that take the total of the loan up by thousands and thousands of dollars without consulting us ahead of time. We ask them to remove the extras and they offer us a "deal" on the warranty and extras that takes it down by $1000. Good to know that the initial offer was purposely overpriced and meant to take advantage of us. The whole process was a huge waste of time and a clear effort to bamboozle customers. After the test drive, the entire purchasing process took almost 4 hours. I will never purchase from here again and probably will never go into a dealership again. Me and my wife came in to buy a new car and we were treated with a rude salesman Michael Cheadle and Thomas Hayden. They were very professional in the beginning, but once we said no to there very high APR of 9 percent and 84 month loan they got very unprofessional for context my wife has a high credit score of 770. They got pretty manipulative and overly aggressive. They used every sales tactic in the book, we were looking at the numbers they were giving us and mike grabbed the paper from my hands and walked away and made a rude remark. I was very professional and polite and to be treaded with that much disdain was a horrible experience, I recommend going to a different dealership, My wife went to the Nissan dealership in bountiful and got a car loan of 5.9 APR for only 60 months. Bought a car from Tim Dahle Nissan in Murray last week. We really like the car, but I really dislike the dealership. If you find a car there you like, absolutely buy it. But be forewarned that there are $2,500 in hidden charges coming your way. The charges are for after-market extras that you cannot decline, you cannot negotiate and are not included in the sticker price. So whatever price you are seeing online or in the dealership, add $2,500, as that is really your price. Then you will have the exorbitant fees ($500 for a doc fee?) but those can at least be negotiated if, unlike me, you make the finance guy slow down enough that you can actually look at each page you are signing. And when you call out the salesman and the finance guy on the deceptive $2,500? They'll each claim that the other should have pointed it out. Oh, and the three "free" oil changes that the sales manager will casually tell you will be thrown in? There will be a $175 dollar charge on your paperwork to cover those. read more

There is nothing good I can say about the experience we had. The vehicle we wanted was listed online with no indication that the price was "with Dealer Financing". It was nowhere on their ad, nowhere on the listing with AutoTrader, CarGurus, or Cars.com. But when we sat down to make the deal, they came with a cash price that was over $2K more than the listed price. We declined and I came home and did my research. First thing next morning Ty (claiming to be the "General Sales Manager" wanted to know if he could do anything to change our minds, I told him to sell me the truck we wanted for the cash price we could afford. He said he had to check with the sales team to see if they could get the price down - this didn't make much sense to me since you would think that the "General Sales Manager" would be over the "Sales Team" - but what do I know? Regardless, I said fine, he said he was "actively" working on it. So throughout the day I kept checking, he kept saying he was working on it, but in truth he was just stringing me along until 6:35pm when he said that there is nothing he could do - I showed him that their add made no indication that the price was contingent on financing, but then he just played stupid (maybe he wasn't playing - but again, what do I know?). Turns out, as he was stringing me along, they sold the truck out from under me. This is not only unethical, it is by legal definition a breach of contract and a violation of fair dealing laws. If I actually gave a crap, I would sue them, but they are not worth it and we ended up finding a better option at National GMC. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere, the so-called "Forever Warranty" is not worth their BS. read more

From reading reviews and complaints, it looks like nobody gets a vehicle for anything close to the advertised price. Expect to pay thousands more. Full Story: I saw the used car with the price, color and options I wanted on the internet. I spent 5 days with numerous emails and phone calls with me trying to get them to give me a list of fees and charges they were going to charge. They tried every trick in the book to get me to move along in the process and sign up for financing without knowing what the final cost would be. The fine print on the web site says you must get financing from them for the price to be valid, so I agreed. What they didn't like was that I insisted on knowing the total cost before making a formal loan application. I was referred to a web page that said I could get a pre-approval without giving out my SSN or DOB. I filled out the application, hit submit, and was informed by a pop-up box that they could not find my records and needed my SSN. This is BS. I have lived at the same address for more than 10 years and have an excellent credit rating. In the end, I never got an answer, they just wasted my time and sold the car to someone else who probably didn't find out about the thousands of extra charges before it was too late to back out. Initially everything started off good. Sales rep, while newer, was helpful as we looked and and test drove a few vehicles. He told me their Doc Fees were 450$ while that seemed a bit high to me, I just assumed that like everything else they charge more because they can, and maybe that is the normal rate from dealerships. As we get to the part of price, I asked to see what the Out the Door cost would be with everything involved. Their contract included the registration fees and doc fee of course. And then they had a Under the Hood fee for 499$. I told the salesman I would not need that service, and would be unwilling to pay it. So he offered to remove it. I made an initial offer on the car, expecting a counter offer. They were unwilling to counter offer stating they had little leeway on the price. Eventually, I decided to offer their full asking price, minus the Under the Hood fee they were trying to tack on. And this is when they stopped acting in good faith. They started saying that they didn't know if they could remove that. Eventually, the Finance Manager calls, saying he wouldn't remove that fee. And begins bragging about how many cars they sell a month, and so they weren't worried about selling to me, because they knew they would get someone else to pay it. Very disappointing, that businesses still treat customers this way and stay in business. I find it interesting, that pretty much all there reviews are either 1 star or 5 star... very few in between. My theory is they may be putting up false reviews to try to negate the honest bad reviews that they earn. read more

I would prefer to give them no stars at this time. I use my old 2000 Xterra out here only in the winter as we spend our winters in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Alas, another disappointing experience taking my old Xterra in for a brake check. As I watched from the bay window that the young man/technician did not even take the tires off to assess the depth of the front brake pads nor the brake shoes on the rear. I pointed out to the service writer that his eyes must be better than mine to ascertain depth of brake pads/shoes without pulling the tires and in particular the drums off the rear. Thereafter I noticed he did take the tires off and perform the rotation requested after the service writer spoke with him after our conversation. But in true fashion, left off one lug from a stripped stud and did not even return the lug. However, they were kind enough to quote me on differential, transmission, AC, radiator, brake - all fluid changes based on the mileage without actually checking the records nor asking if the work was previously performed. Since the snow was melting off the car, they assumed there was a leak. Fortunately, I put myself through undergraduate school as an auto mechanic in the 80s with a GM dealership back east, so I had performed all the work and lack a big 'S' on my forehead. In the end, I tried to go back after a two year hiatus but that was the last straw. wo years ago I had the timing belt changed and someone forgot to fill the radiator. I soon found out about 1 mile past State Street that the old girl was not going to make too far. Sorry Tim. Your commercials and marketing speak a good game, but something is amiss with your dealership. The level of customer satisfaction is lower than the shoreline of The Great Salt Lake. read more

I found a car at Tim Dahle Murray that I wanted to buy. I dealt with the salesperson, and the manager to determine the sale price of the car. We all agreed on the sales price, which included the price of the car, tax, title, dock fee, license fees. So I said yes I'll buy it, AFTER we ALL agreed that there were NO OTHER EXTRAS THAT WOULD BE ADDED TO THE CAR. The final price was set in stone. We worked through the financing and after many hours and 3 different trips to the dealership in the same day to work through it all, we sat down the sign the deal. Once it was all settled, we sat down to sign the loan and papers. I saw 2 separate "extras" added to the deal, totaling $800. I reminded them that we ALL agreed on the price, and that there were NO EXTRAS to be added. They explained that these extras are put on EVERY car and are non-negotiable. I told them I'm not paying for extras we didn't agree on, and ESPECIALLY that NO ONE HAD EVEN MENTIONED EVER. They just PUT them on the final deal at the end without saying any thing, expecting that I'd be stupid enough to just sign it. I said I'm not paying for extras. They said there's no choice. So I demanded my money back (my down payment I had ALREADY GIVEN THEM). So after wasting an entire day, and finding out their lies trying to screw me out of an extra $800, I went home empty handed. These people are as crooked as they come. They all knew about the extra money, except the customer. And they hide it until you think it's too late to back out. I'll spend the rest of my life telling everyone I know how crooked they are. But at least they'll make the extra $800 on the next guy! If you ever go to Tim Dahle - BEFORE you waste your life there, ask about their EXTRA CHARGES NO ONE WILL TELL YOU ABOUT until you sign the papers. Congratulations Tim Dahle. Worst car dealer i've ever made the mistake of buying a car from. Purchased a vehicle it was later on a Thursday/Friday. Came back the next day to finalize, and ran it through their free carwash. Water came pouring in through the sunroom. Literally dripping. They claim they can fix it, several days later they say it's fixed. I run it through the car wash, it's still dripping into the car. I ask for a refund, they tried to push me around telling me that they could fix it. Well they already tried, and wasted my time driving back down. None of this was disclosed to him at the time of purchase.... we are now upside down on the car and have so much negative equity and other dealerships will not even look at the car to see what could be done to trade it in due to the damage reported making it come up the same as a "salvage" title.. and most lenders won't lend on that kind of title as structural damages could make the vehicle unsafe.. We also tried to go to them to get a different vehicle for our growing family and they told us that everything was good and that we could take the car home.. fast forward to the next weekend they called and said we had to come fill out some paperwork and we get there and they immediately try to start getting us into a different vehicle then they one we took home and tell us that the loan is not going to go through and if it does then the monthly payment was not what we had discussed.. they would not give us any other information and left use stranded with our two kids 2.5 hours away from our house... *False Advertising* I received this flyer in the mail after posting my car on KSL and thought it was intriguing, so I called on it to make sure that it was a legitimate offer and what the details of the offer were. The salesman on the phone stated that they don't provide offers over the phone but that receiving this flyer meant they were interested in the vehicle and would provide an offer after they saw the vehicle. The salesman I first saw was great and reviewed my initial offer, checked out the car and followed up with the appraiser who took an additional look at the car, but scarcely acknowledged my presence and gave an insulting offer without acknowledging the flyer or offer to look into the details of the flyer whatsoever. This was a waste of time and extremely frustrating as the salesman I interacted with didn't know the details of the offer either and contradicted what the flyer said itself. It said: "Full Kelley Blue Book Value For Your Vehicle - Instant Appraisal - Fast and Easy ... Top dollar paid for your car even if you don't buy one of ours." No fine print, no asterisks noting there would be other things considered when bringing a vehicle in. This is a screwed up note and false advertising to the nth degree. Check your paperwork VERY carefully and make sure you get actual paperwork, not digital. We repeatedly stated that we did not want the extended warranty - repeatedly. We were told what the monthly payment would be. When I signed, that was the monthly payment. I should have demanded physical papers. They had me digitally sign and the front pages matched what I had been told and that is where my signature was. Buried in the many pages was the added warranty. Of course, it had digital initials on it, but had they told me it was for the extended warranty, I never would have signed that (and I am not sure that I did). Upon discovery of the extended warranty that we specifically asked not to have, we called to see what we needed to do to cancel that warranty. We were given the run around and sent the wrong forms to cancel. They told us we had to cancel through the financial institution (wrong), then it was they needed a specific form, which was the not form that they sent us. I filled out all of the forms that they sent us and just received yet another form from them. This has been a couple months process to cancel the warranty (which clearly states it can be cancelled). We will never do business with a Tim Dahle company again and we will warn others in our influence to avoid them as well. read more

When you buy a car at Tim Dahle Nissan, they add a service package to the deal that gives you oil changes for a year. it sounds like a good deal, but DON'T DO IT! I bought a used ram truck from them. I am happy with the truck, but not the service from the dealership. I showed up for my oil change appointment and was informed it would take 2 1/2 hours because they don't keep the oil filter in stock. they send someone to go and get a filter after you show up for the appointment. I asked if they could get the filter ahead of time, and I could reschedule the appointment for another day. They said no. read more
