The floor product is great and very nice selections. The installers do a subpar and crappy job. It looks worse than a DIY job. They came back out to fix their problems only to add molding instead of fixing the bad install job. They do not caulk along the baseboards after the new floor is down, leaving an unsightly gap, and making it appear as if your walls are floating. Somehow their bill jumped $5000.00 above their initial bid with no explanation as to why. Bad service all around, from sales office to installers. They will tell you what you want to hear to get the business but don't stand behind their work or product. read more

I am thrilled with the entire process. Selected the hardwood we wanted that matched some we purchased for the dining room a few years back. About three days later the team showed up and pulled up (and hauled away) the old carpet and put down the new hardwood floor...all that same day (including moving furniture out and putting it back). We were ready to change up some things after eleven years of living in our home. Tammie T. came out and looked over our home to replace our entryway tile and carpet to hardwood. We also changed the tile on our fireplace and we are super pleased with the end result. During this process, Tammie was super patient as we started wanting this before Memorial Day. We had Tim Hogan replace our entire first floor with engineered hardwood and decided to add our steps as well at a cost of around $2K. The initial install of the first floor was okay but they totally botched the stairs. The stairs were previously carpet plus padding and the new treads didn't line up in any way, shape or form. Had we been informed before they glued them down, we would have opted to just have the carpet replaced. After bringing it to their attention, promises were made to try and improve the situation but were never followed through on despite repeated phone calls. Now, 3 years late, the floors are cracking, peeling and generally not holding up well at all. We payed around $6/sq ft and expected these floors to last! When I called about getting help filing a warranty claim, I was told the warranty was likely void because I had used a mop with water and cleaner at times to clean up big messes (and not the spray bona cleaner). What floor can you never get water on??? And of course the promised call back after they talked to the warranty company never came. Do NOT do business with this company! I was having a terrible time finding just the right carpet to replace our 30+ year old carpet. I wanted a similar color and quality, as the carpet that was put in by the builder years ago was perfect and went with all kinds of decor. I almost passed by Tim Hogan's but decided to take a chance, and I'm so glad I did. Tony Brennan came to my rescue! I told him what I was looking for, and he immediately guided me to beautiful Karastan carpet that could not have fit the bill any better. After bringing home the sample and confirming my choice, I made arrangements for the new carpet to be installed. We actually chose to do it in two separate phases for convenience's sake, and they had no problem with that. 2/3 of the house was recarpeted September 9th, and the crew was fantastic! They were on time, never even took a break, were courteous and respectful of our furniture and home, and did an amazing job with the installation and clean up afterward. We're looking forward to phase 2 and having this crew again. I would purchase from Tim Hogan's again in a heartbeat. read more

This place was recommended by a contractor, who's work ended up being as bad as the service from Tim Hogans, but I ordered carpet there because I needed it quickly and didn't have time to shop around. Luckily we ordered top of the line carpet with 25 year warranties on everything including a 30 day money back quality assurance guarantee. Once the carpet was installed we called to tell them that we did not think the correct padding was used because it felt like we were walking on the cement floor. After spending two weeks trying to get someone to come out and check the installation, I was told that they would not be sending anyone because no other customer had ever complained about this carpet before. I was told my only recourse was to have the carpet ripped out within the 30 day grace period and pay a second install charge to get new carpet put in. I was finally able to get an employee from the Grapevine store to come check the pad a week later who confirmed that an inferior pad had in fact been installed. After spending 20 minutes arguing with the owner of the company who offered nothing for the time and frustration I had been put through, I finally told him to credit me the full amount of my purchase and come take the carpet out. In the end, I went with another carpet company and Tim Hogans lost money on the sale, the installers who were paid to put it in and take it out and the carpet that was probably trashed. They also lost a good paying customer who will go out of her way to tell others to steer clear of this truly bad business. read more

Being Tim Hogan has no way to contact them via their website, I hve decided to write a review. I did get a salesman who matched my existing flooring perfectly. The install went fine with these exceptions: the installers did not understand English. I had asked for a clean piece of carpet they remove without stains, which would have been that under my bed, and they left the stained piece. I asked for a couple extra pieces of the wood flooring for a reference, they did not leave. I contacted Tim Hogan's and they made every excuse for their employees. I am still trying to get the glue off the floor. So, with that being said, the flooring does match, does look good, except for the glue. So..best if you speak and understand Spanish for the installers. I do not. read more

After looking around for days I happened upon Tim Hogan's carpet outlet and stopped to see if they had the type of floor covering I had been looking for. There were two men inside and they were talking with each other and seemed uninterested that a customer had walked in. No greeting of any kind. After several moments of me walking around and looking for the carpet I was hunting, I went to the desk area where they were seated. No other customers were in the store. Just me. I asked about what I was looking for and the guy recommended something that was not even close. I told him that it wasn't even close and explained again what I was looking for. They looked at each other and came back at me with another off the wall suggestion combined with an attitude like I was looking for something that was stupid. I could not believe that they were both so hair trigger to get tacky with a customer. After one final attempt to get them to understand what I was looking for with yet an outright smart ass attitude from both of them, I shook my head in disgust and walked out. That's when the guy I was speaking to actually followed me out to my car, pointing his finger at me yelling "FUCK YOU!" over and over and over again. Unbelievable! He just stood there showing what a low life he was and why I later heard stories about how Tim Hogan's has a very bad reputation for being rude and abusive to customers. I found what I was looking for after two more stops in the mid cities area. I can't imagine how they have stayed in business with that kind of mentality. read more
