He installed LVP in our entire home without doing proper testing or following the manufacturers guidelines resulting in the flooring buckling and WOULD NOT stand behind his work or product. Have spend a year trying to get him to resolve issue with no resolution by him, we even hired flooring inspector with 71 photos of flooring buckling...We are out a lot of money and have entire house of flooring that will need to be redone! Being on the 2nd. floor we opted for a more substantial & expensive "Tempur-pedic" carpet pad Out of consideration for the downstairs neighbor (After years of living there she remarked that she never heard us walking around upstairs). On the second condo I went "budget" & opted for a single linoleum floor in the kitchen which I would no longer recommend to anyone going forward. Ceramic tile it or just leave the concrete Bare-naked & alone....Don't try to save money in the kitchen....A far busier room, as far as usage, than one would realize. They also graciously installed a hardwood floor in our dining room with some leftover wood-flooring that we had after we did the hallway ourselves. All-in-all??, If you bring yourself along with an educated perspective & don't try to low-buck or lowball your project? I think you'll be deeply rewarded and happy with the results that Home Castle Concepts brings. As far as the one star reviews?. Independent contractors secured by companies are not a reflection of that company but only of the independent contractors ability. Blame the right people, people. As for shower pans? Used this company in 2020 to install LVP throughout my first Home. All seemed well and looked good until 6 months in. My floors are buckling and coming up which is causing tripping. I reached out to the company at least 4 times to see if I can get someone to come out and look at and give a quote for fixing. I spoke with Doug, and he never got back to me. I've used Home Castle Concepts on several of my investment properties over the last couple of years, and I am very happy with them. I have only used them for carpeting and laminate, and their work in those areas was without reproach. I am very sorry to hear about Olivia's problems in a previous critique, but that has never happened to me. The work was done on time, and the workmanship was top-of-the-line. I was getting frustrated because it didn't seem like I could do what I wanted in my home without breaking the bank and a friend recommended Home Castle to me. I'll admit that I was a little worried because I saw a couple 1 Star reviews on here from over a year ago but being a former contractor myself I know that sometimes a bad installer can really screw things up and if they're still in business then they must have gotten rid of that installer. Plus they've got tons of 5 star reviews everywhere else. Todd came out to my house and took measurements for installing vinyl plank downstairs and all new carpet upstairs. I couldn't be happier with the job. It's completely transformed my house! I used to build homes so I was very particular about how it turned out with the baseboard installation. I'd provided them with tall baseboards and my house has a LOT of angles. Again, I was totally impressed, the cuts and joints are immaculate. I'd gotten a couple of quotes from highly rated flooring companies and was getting frustrated with all the sales tactics. One guy even tried to charge me an extra 50 cents a square foot on the carpet to have a moisture barrier on the pad. Home Castle answered my questions but didn't try to "sell" me on anything. They got all the old carpet out, installed the new vinyl downstairs and all new carpet up stairs and on the staircase, and completed the baseboard install on a 1,700 sq foot home in 2 days. Best part is we were able to get a better quality carpet in our budget than the other guys said we could afford at our price point and were over $1,000 less for the job. So coming from a former carpenter these guys are incredible! I would absolutely recommend them to any and everyone. Flooring companies are a dime a dozen here in DFW and now I see why I never saw ads for these guys when googling flooring companies. With this kind of work who needs to spend money on advertising when word of mouth does the job for you! read more

Unfortunately we had a very negative experience with Home Castle Concepts. We worked with Tom and had issues from the start. We asked them to do tile in our bathroom and kitchen and were told it would be no problem to have it done in a month when our movers would be showing up at our new house. It was explained repeatedly that this was essential because we needed a floor to put our refrigerator on. Spoiler: when the movers showed up nothing was finished. After several angry conversations, they tiled in just the area where the fridge went so that it could be taken off the truck. It was another few months before we finally got Tom out of our life. To rewind a little, when picking out tile, Tom told us we could go to their showroom, about 30 minutes from Dallas, and take a look at samples. I drove out, spent about an hour picking out the tile, backsplash, and trimmings I wanted and asked them to get started. Two weeks later I get a call saying that nothing I picked out was still carried by the manufacturer and that maybe I should drive back out but go to the Daltile showroom and see what they had. Todd also promised our shower glass would fit back in the shower. After retiling, and apparently changing the shape a little, the glass--of course--didn't fit. The only positive thing I can say here is that they offered to split the cost of new glass with us. Even all of these things together would probably not have elicited a negative review from me but after substantial delays and issues with some of the aesthetic of the installation, we finally thought we were done with this nightmare. However, within a couple of days of them finishing, water started leaking from the master bathroom they had just retiled through the ceiling and into our kitchen. We paid for two plumbers to come out and look, both of who said the shower pan had been installed incorrectly. We decided to give Home Castle Concepts the benefit of the doubt and let them rip out the tile, redo the shower pan, and retile. After weeks of dust and hassle, they told us it had been fixed. Within two days, water was again pouring into the kitchen. We had three plumbers come out this time, including one who cut big holes in the kitchen ceiling so he could be 100% sure what the issue was, all who independently agreed the shower pan was AGAIN incorrectly installed. Home Castle Concepts also brought out two people to look at it. At this point we told them we were going to have to use someone else to fix the shower because we had serious questions about their competence. We ended up paying thousands of dollars to have the shower tile ripped out and retiled a THIRD time. In case you are wondering, the plumber who finally fixed it said he was shocked by how badly the shower had been done (nails through the pan liner where they shouldn't have been, pieces of old liner cut out and gaps between pieces of new liner, the liner not wrapping over the step, etc.). Needless to say, I suggest you find someone else to do your tile, especially in a bathroom. read more

I had linoleum put in both bathrooms and they were done poorly. The tile is coming up in both rooms and this was only done 7 or 8 months ago. They spliced it together behind the toilet instead of pulling up the toilet to not have that splice. They did not cut the splice in a line. It is in the middle of the tile. I cannot even get a call back. I have left voice mails and text messages and nothing. I did this as part of an upgrade to put my house on the market and it is very distressing. We ended up switching carpets a few times and he was very understanding and helpful. The day of install they were on time and worked very hard. They did any outstanding job installing the carpet.
