We also looked at the warehouse / home improvement stores. After visiting a couple of local carpet stores and one of the home improvement stores in the area, I came across Floor Covering International in Southlake ( https://southlake.floorcoveringsinternational.com ). They were local and would bring samples to your home. We gave them a call and set up a time for them to come to the house. Joe came to the house with a large selection of carpets and we were able to quickly find the carpet we wanted and provided a verbal cost. Joe followed up with a written quote later that day and we set up a date for installation. Joe also arranged for his installation team to move the furniture for a fee, which made the process very easy. The installation team showed up on time, moved the furniture, took out the old carpet and started the installation. Joe stopped by to check on the installation and spotted a problem, the padding was the standard foam padding versus the upgraded padding we had selected. Joe was able to get the upgraded padding while the team finished taking out the old carpet. They finished up the installation, in less then eight hours, moved all the furniture back and cleaned up the mess. What we expected to be a big complicated project turned out to be a very easy process to update our home. We love the new carpet and the upgraded padding was a great choice for a very plush feel.
