When I ordered, someone mistakenly took my drink and confused it with their order. However, the staff was super kind about it and remade my drink, with a smile on their face! As for the interior, it was very aesthetic. Definitely had to snag a picture of their set up of coffee bags! The only struggle was parking, since there's no dedicated parking spots aside from the SMART VMC (Subway station) parking, which is a bit of a pricey ticket if you're looking just to get coffee or food nearby.

Very disappointing experience. This was my second visit to this location, and unfortunately, the…read moresame problems happened again. The coffee shop was visibly dirty, with stained countertops, crumbs, and a dirty rag left in the work area. The employees appeared unprofessional and careless about the cleanliness, showing no attention to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. I also ordered a matcha, which was poorly prepared and had an unpleasant, almost fried-fish taste. I've visited the Distillery District location, and the difference is huge. That location is clean, the staff are professional, and everything looks fresh and well maintained. This location (200 Apple Mill Road) definitely needs improvement in cleanliness, service, and drink preparation. I hope management takes these issues seriously because the quality of the experience is nowhere near what I have experienced at other locations.

This French patisserie is mind-blowing, and reminiscent of the best patisseries in Montréal and Paris. We ordered the chocolatines, the cheesecake and the spanakopita. The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

We probably waited less than five minutes, which was awesome considering that they had a lot of other orders ringing up. It had chunks of mango, mango puree, cheesecake, and whipped cream. It was pretty enjoyable, but I think it would've been even better if I added in some mochi. The menu says it's layered with condensed milk, but the mango puree overpowered it a bit. It would be a nice touch if they could drizzle some condensed milk at the top, so that sweetness hits off the bat (at least in my opinion). Customer service was great, they were fast, respectful, and knew how to keep the line moving.

The matcha was very creamy and tasted high quality, which can be very difficult to find. The staff was very patient when me and my friend were taking quite a while to decide what we wanted to order, so I appreciate their cooperation. The…read moreratings were high, the photos looked great, and I figured it'd be a safe bet -- so I brought my partner along expecting solid coffee. After trying my vanilla iced latte and my partner's macchiato... I wondered if this place might actually be better known for food or matcha, based on what I've seen in other reviews - the coffee was not good. The espresso beans seemed to be over-roasted, which were quite bitter for our liking as opposed to something more subtly chocolatey and nutty. My iced latte also got watery pretty quickly as the ice melted it seemed, and ended up tasting more like the kind of latte you'd get from a fast-food chain (or the espresso shot was way too long). A bit of a letdown, especially since the two fairly small drinks came to about $18. The space itself is cozy, and I really like the vinyl collection (which earned the 2 stars). That said, the records are noticeably pricey compared to typical vinyl shops like Sonic Boom. A lot of them -- even ones with just Side A -- were priced at $55 and up. I didn't cross-check the barcodes on Discogs, but while I love the curation (especially the focus on Japanese jazz and city pop -- really cool stuff), I find it hard to believe all of them are rare pressings worthy of those $55-to-several-hundred-dollar price tags. As an avid collector myself, I wouldn't come here to buy the records. Service was friendly.
