Double bacon cheese
Dani N.

Cool little spot in Drumheller. Everything was made to order and the milkshake menu was astonishing, over 50 flavours to choose from. Ordered a double bacon cheese and while the beef has been frozen, it was still delicious. The onion rings and fries were hit and crispy, seasoned perfectly. Ordered the magma wings (2nd hottest) and holy smokes were they spicy. Coming from a Mexican household, I'm more than used to spicy food, but this was another monster. Overall a great little spot with excellent service. They get a little busy after 5 so I recommend either an early or late dinner.

The tables are fun.

Always a stellar experience. I really love bringing new humans here to experience it too. So far my success rate is pretty good. My job is easy when they make such delicious foods.

Such wonderful people!! Arrived at the Town of Drumheller, AB to visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and wanted lunch before starting our tour at the Museum, found this Bistro on Yelp, and glad we did! One thing that stands out is how warm people are here, later we found out that both of them are owners ( husband & wife ). They made this place very welcoming and you feel like you are visiting the home of an old friend! Both the Mushroom Burger and the Club Sandwich were made to order, I ordered the Double Patty with Mushroom Sauce, and it was a true meal in itself! The amount of beef with the rich mushroom sauce can be had without the bun and you will still feel satisfied! Classic Club House has chicken, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and cheese! Wonderfully made, it went really well with the Home Made Coleslaw!! All in all, it is such a pleasure to visit a local family run eatery where you can chat with them to find out more about their history and their way of life etc. Thanks Bernie!

Poutine with cheese curds (family size)

Road trip eats!! Found this little gem in Dino town (aka: Drumheller) located in downtown area with plenty of street parking this family owned "diner style" restaurant was featured in "you've got to eat here". We were greeted very quickly as it was a quiet night and was explained how to order. Menus were on the screen, you pay at the till then seat yourself, they will bring out your food once it's ready. We ordered the Mammoth burger, 24oz of seasoned patty covered with shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles and house sauce. This burger is served with 8" bun that was soft and chewy, eating it was messy but totally worth it, beef patty was well seasoned and moist. We shared it between 4 person and we were stuffed! Also ordered their poutine, the fries were tender and crispy but they were overly generous with salt (you can pick your own choice of shredded mozzarella or cheese curd), we picked the cheese curd, cheese tasted standard and nothing special. Gravy was a great sticky consistency but lack of flavour. I would recommend trying their milkshakes! They have so many flavours, we order chocolate, vanilla and cookie n' cream. Their milkshake is made the old fashioned way with ice cream, it was thick and delicious, not too sweet. We all think vanilla tasted best! Diner itself is clean and small, all tables are decorated with drawing/writing. Best part is they have a small fireplace in the middle of the restaurant, definitely added some cozy extra points for an snowy October evening. Worst is the female washroom stinks.

G's special burger

I heard about Bernie & the Boys Bistro from "You Gotta Eat Here" and the burger was as good as it was described on TV. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portions are generous. I ordered their speculos milkshake flavour and it tastes true to description! If you love speculos cookies, I recommend this flavour. In my opinion, the prices are a bit higher than other burger joints but you get what you pay for; a fresh and tastey burger. If you're in Drumheller, I recommend trying this place out. $45 for: 1 x small milkshake 1 x medium milkshake 1 x large green salad 1 x double G's burger 1 x single G's

Alright, time to review this place... Okay, definitely the hype was way too exaggerated. The restaurant itself is in need of renovations. It's not only small, but looks like it's falling apart. The ordering system is pretty good, you line up, pay, and then wait for the waitresses to bring your food to you. We ordered the mammoth burger, calamari, taco salad, and a milkshake(don't remember the flavour as it was really not that memorable). The mammoth burger was dry, lacking of any flavour other than salty, and just overall disappointing. The calamari tasted like it was definitely frozen and pre packaged, the taco salad was extremely salty(better off ordering one from taco time). I thought the burger would at least be worth the drive to Drumheller, but sadly it is not. We tried to like the food, but everything was just salty and dry. We thought that this would be the highlight of our Drumheller day trip, but alas it will always be the Tyrell Museum. You definitely do not have to eat here.

Very dissatisfied

Ordered a take-out pizza and git it uncooked! Got it home, took a bite, and spit it out. Raw. Had to throw it in the oven for 15 minutes. It was missing two toppings, one being Feta - pretty important to the over all flavour since it was supposed to be a Greek pizza! The Ceasar salad was soggy - drenched in a very salty dressing. Maybe they should just stsick to the burgers they're so famous for. Super-sorry I gave them a $6 tip for a soggy salad and a raw paizza missing toppings.

Their tables are quite unique!

Third time here...and it might be the last. Took 25 minutes to get our order. My Double G's burger was NOT cooked.. A lot of dark pink starting a half inch into the patties. When I got a new one, it was missing the diablo sauce I asked for and it had the pickles that I DIDN'T want. The burger was simply a sloppy mess. The table next to us had to send one kids burger back TWICE because it wasn't done properly. You get a lot of food for the money, but I have found the quality has gone down. Sad.

Great tasting burgers, they use their own in-house spice combo. Dozens of milk shake flavours too.

Fantastic little find on the way back to Calgary from Drumheller…read more This is a quaint little diner that appears to be family run. They were all warm and attentive. The photos don't look like much but the seasoning was perfect on everything. I ordered the special of chicken milanesa. It was a pounded chicken breast breaded perfectly, topped with sauteed onions, with a side of fries that I could not finish. My lunch partner ordered a small bowl of borscht, which was not very small, and a meal of perogies. The borscht was loaded with vegetables and sausage. The perogies had a perfect cheese filling and sausage on the side. Both of us had a side of coleslaw with a light but creamy dressing. I cant say enough about their seasoning. It was light but perfect. It totally enhanced the food instead of overwhelming it. This place has perfected some very good hearty recipes. We were way too full to try the pies. That is my only regret. This place is one where I would highly recommend if you are near Drumheller and looking for food. It is worth the 30 min drive

I really hope this review somehow pushes the average of Country Cousins up to 5 full stars. That…read moreit's currently at 4.5 is a travesty. This is the small town dining experience of your, my, and every respectable person's dreams. This is the place that your favourite local joint tries and fails to emulate. This, good people of Yelp, is a place you simply cannot miss if you happen to be out and about in God's country. The Mennonite waitress here was the most sincerely kind server I've ever come across. She was helpful, efficient, and encapsulated the warmth that Country Cousins emanates. Over the course of two visits, I had the Famous Iced Tea, the Mennonite Plate, the 4 Berry Pie, the Peanut Butter Pie, and the pickled carrots. First things first: I'm not sure just how famous the famous iced is, but I can tell you one thing - it's not famous enough. This iced tea would be served iced cold with my last meal. In fact, if it were my last meal I'd die happy. Is it sweet? Oh yeah. But it's got a flavour that I remember from my childhood which I just can't pinpoint. Like Pruste's madeleine, this iced tea brings you way, way, back and leaves you there long after the mason jar the tea is served in has dried up. The Mennonite plate is a wicked combination of Mennonite sausage, the finest cabbage rolls anyone could put together, and the single best half dozen pirogies this man has ever had (get the cottage cheese option). The sausage is made by people that make sausage like their lives depend on it. Meaty, tasty, filling cooked sausage an inch in diameter and split in half. Delicious. The cabbage rolls perfectly combine juicy cabbage with tasty ground beef, pleasantly acidic tomato sauce with sour cream. Yum. But the pirogies are where the sun really shines. These pan fried delights taste like how pirogies can be at their best. The dough stands out with a starchy flavour of its own, and the cottage cheese provides that cottage cheese texture that only it has, along with a familiar tang. The pirogies are dressed in a rich white sauce that probably isn't necessary but definitely doesn't hurt either. The 4 Berry Pie meets and exceeds your expectations for what small town pie can be - juicy, sweet, whole berry fillings ooze under the most buttery, flaky crust imaginable. The Peanut Butter Pie is unlike any pie I've ever had. It has a custard and whipped cream base which is essentially flavoured with peanut butter. Delicious, but a bit too sweet for my liking. Had to drown it down with that Famous Iced Tea. The pickled carrots were a revelation. Perfect crunch, perfect proportions of dill and garlic. Just a delight. Bought a jar to bring back home. Overall, Country Cousin's an absolute must-try if you're in the area. An experience you won't soon forget.
