Popped into this Tim Hortons during the morning rush and was surprised at how quickly the line moved. The staff behind the counter were really hustling to get everyone's orders out. My double-double was served hot, and the bagel was toasted just right--not burnt, which happens sometimes at other locations. I didn't catch her full name because of how busy the Tim Horton's was in the morning and I didn't want to cause a back up in service, but Kat is super friendly and patient. She was guiding another staff member in French and helping the customer in English and maintained her smile throughout. When it was our turn to order, we said we wanted the breakfast wrap with bacon and she was able to inform us of the two different options available and waited patiently for us to choose. Kat kept her polite and friendly attitude and smile throughout all customer interactions and that is very difficult to do! We got the small iced latte, bacon and hash brown breakfast wrap, sausage and egg English muffin, and a cruller donut. The wrap is really good and the chipotle sauce really makes the wrap addicting. The sausage and egg muffin is a little more dry because it didn't have a sauce but ketchup would just solve that. The sausage isn't super salty but is a little thin. This Tim's was very convenient to the hotel at which I was staying and a good place for coffee and a quick breakfast. Orders are handled promptly so the line moves quickly. There's plenty of seating inside should you choose to eat your meal there instead of on the run. read more

I've tried Hortons before. A Canadian associate I knew brought some from his trip and they were pretty good. This was such a tale of two cities. On the one hand the maple donut I had was dry, stale and almost inedible. I was like this is worse than a Winchell's recycling bin. That made me super worried about the apple donut. But man was I astonished at the moistness and flavor explosion that proceeded. One of the best donuts I've ever had and I've had some of the best from all over North America. But how to compensate for the other donut? Maybe it was just an off day for the maple glaze? I'll have to do more yummy research. I did and it was an anomaly. The donuts get you 4 big stars. The service in this place was ok. Basic what would like, grab and go. But the ambiance is pretty utilitarian. Definitely not trying to get the Starbucks hang out market as it's really bright and kind of sterile. But their were people hanging out. read more

There are some THs out in the Midwest, but it's pretty overwhelming in terms of the number of locations that they have in Montreal! The menu is pretty extensive, offering coffee, teas, specialty hot/cold beverages, breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, bagels, cookies, doughnuts, and yogurts. Located conveniently off the Place-des-Arts Metro, the hubs and I came here for a quick little snack. We tried the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, a breaded white meat chicken patty topped with lettuce, tomato, and spicy mayo sauce, all in a white bun. This was pretty okay in taste, and it came with a complimentary side of kettle cooked potato chips. Service was more of a miss, as the employees were playing 'tag' behind the counter; they were oblivious to the number of patrons waiting in line to order (!). They have a counter where you place your order and another where you take your order slip to for payment. Remember your order number! During peak times - weekday mornings and occasionally in the afternoon - the queue will reach the door and there will frequently be a huge pile-up as people mill around, waiting to either pay or receive their coffee. It can be a bit hectic, but at worst I've been out within minutes. The coffee is hot and even though I have a short walk, I still wish cup sleeves were more readily available! I've never sat in; but for coffee to go, it's decent for cheap coffee and does the job. Also great for boxes of doughnuts to share at the office. read more

Very good location within the downtown area. The store itself is quite spacious and provides a good amount of space for people to sit. The workers and staff are friendly. Location is also close by to many other stores and areas which makes it convenient. Their donuts are far more better than dunkin donuts and that glaze is on point. read more

It's another Tim's, with a sign prominently displayed on the entry door that reads " free WI FI", which is great. Having said that, however; there is a somewhat disconcerting procedure to access it.
