It's been a while but I was predictably not disappointed! I ordered the Number 18 combo, delivered via UberEats. When the food arrived I opened the bag and found my peach Celsius, 18 sandwich, and oatmeal cookies. I first ate the cookies because I love a good oatmeal cookie. The chew was moist and fresh, tasting heavenly with a light sweetness from the raisins, and a pleasing texture. My idea of a good cookie. The number 18 sandwich, as always, was fresh, satisfying, filling, and clearly high quality ingredients. This isn't a Subway, so the turkey slices were real turkey, in chunks, with quality bacon and fresh veggies. Smashed out of the park~! The Celsius was tasty as expected and canned product that honestly won't affect my review of Big Star I will certainly be ordering from them again in future when craving a tasty sandwich, though might just on into the location. Uber eats prices can be expensive, and it's not far from my office, so in highly recommend going in to pick up. All said, the price and wait are worth the deliciousness~

As you would expect a sandwich shop to be, the place was small with several tables and a large menu above the counter divided by meat types. In hindsight, would have been better to go online and study the menu rather than ordering upon arrival. Eventually, I opted for a large #4 (Roast Beef, Bacon, Cheddar, Hickory Sticks, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo & Deli Mustard) while my husband opted for a large #17 (Roast Beef, Swiss, Creamy Horseradish & Demi-Glace Gravy). We also opted to make our orders a meal and added and drink and a small bag of chips. I'm not sure if it would have been worth it in hindsight; the sandwiches were quite large and a little on the pricey side ($16-$18) and the combo only saved us $1 each. With that said, the sandwiches were delicious. Mine was a good combo of comfort meat, mustard and the hickory sticks added a good crunch. I had a delicious bite of my husband's hot of the grill sandwich with warm gooey gravy. I would have to say that was a sandwich you couldn't take home to eat; you had to eat there while it was still piping hot. Overall it seems like a good place though the sandwiches are a bit pricy. I would say it's worth a visit if you have a coupon. If you don't, it may be worth considering ordering a smaller size and forgoing a combo if you are cost conscious.

As I had paid for my order ahead of time, I was in and out in the store within two minutes flat. Then I was on my way to driving back home to surprise my mom with High Tea! Cute little sandwiches, sausage wraps, and scones that weren't throat choking dry. Loved the extra touch for the tea to come with a tea bag, in case we wanted to use it. The server eventually made his was to the room and handed me a menu with no additional information about what I might enjoy or any special menu items offered. It was a blasé (to say the least) welcoming. I manage to figure out without any suggestion from the server, that the special of the day was a beer & a burger. I ordered that and it took quite a long time to arrive, approximately 35-40 minutes. My beer arrived in a timely fashion. The couple at the only other table occupied in the room commented that they thought the server had forgotten about my order as it was taking an unusual amount of time for my meal to arrive. The server finally arrived with my burger and promptly disappeared until I was finished with my meal. I was never asked once if I was enjoying my meal, if I needed or wanted anything else. I do usually enjoy a drink with my meal! As I am aware that the staff is hired for "seasonal" work, however, it might be worth investing in a much more inviting staff with professional training. I thought that being a "resort" the staff would be very welcoming and trained to be an ambassador for the business. I left with a feeling of disappointment.
