I am The President of a small self-managed HOA. After considering six highly rated roofing companies, we decided to use Tim Leeper Roofing. I met with Andy (Estimator) and discussed our roofing needs. He was able answer all my questions and addressed all of our needs. Andy provided samples, a copy of their liability insurance, and a copy of their contractor's license without having to ask. These are requirements for our HOA. I was looking for a highly rated roofing company to come give me a second opinion on my roof that another company had just installed since I had some concerns whether it was installed correctly, and I found that Tim Leeper Roofing was highly rated and gave them a call. They patiently listened to all of my concerns & sent someone to thoroughly check it over for me, and it helped ease my fears about a couple of concerns I had, but he found a couple of issues that needed to be addressed that could've developed into a leak had I not had someone check it. He told me I needed to have a few damaged shingles replaced by the roofing company who installed it, which I was glad to find out before I paid them the balance I owed them. I also learned that my roofing company didn't do some of the extra steps that Tim Leeper Roofing does for their customers, such as routinely request from insurance companies and install new counter-flashing and ice guards around pipes, etc. Made me wish that I'd found Tim Leeper Roofing before I had my roof installed, because they really pay attention to ALL of the details from start to finish. I had gutter helmet installed in my gutter and salesman thought they could detach it and reattach it but couldn't. So they got a quote for new gutter helmets and sent insurance change order for $10000 which delayed completion by 6 months. I lost a lot of sleep worrying about finishing my roof job. After filing a claim for a new roof with my insurance company, I chose Tim Leeper Roofing to do the job. I got bids from three area companies with good reviews. Their's was competitive and in line with what my insurance adjust said it would cost. This is a 1952 circa, 1900 sq.ft. house which has a steep pitch with previous roofing installed on 1 x planking. As this is no longer to code, the roof had to be completely redecked with OSB panels. Leeper was about 6 weeks out on their scheduling. I was given texts with regular updates as to when they would deliver materials and when they would be there. They were very professional throughout the process. The job foreman was very good to work with and took many pictures throughout the project. When complete, they cleaned the gutters, replaced the leaf guard, and cleaned up very well in general. As the job was done just after Thanksgiving, when days are short, they took all of one day and about three hours the next. Had it been summer, they would have finished in a day. Amazing. I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Tim Leeper Roofing. read more

We chose Tim Leeper Roofing because they received A+ reviews! We were so disappointed, verging on angry...okay, we were angry...that it took them over a month to come re-shingle our roof when we were told it would only be 1.5-2 weeks. We were looking for company that could do the work quickly because with all the rain we've been having, our roof was leaking into our bedroom. And more rain was coming. We had to keep calling them to find out when the heck they were coming. We were scheduled for some dates and they just never arrived. We stayed home from work to wait on them and nobody showed. We had to make calls back to their office. Their quality of work seems fine, but they didn't do a good job of communicating with us or keeping their schedule. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't offer to take something off the bill for their continual delays. My review would have been a WHOLE lot different...but they simply didn't care if we were inconvenienced and continued to get more leaking over the 4.5 weeks. Mike Davis project manager of Tim Leeper roofing surveyed my roof and told me the entire roof needed to be repaired and replaced. Mike Davis said he would provide pictures of the damage on my roof. No pictures were sent just a huge estimate. There are no shingle issues. My shingles were 10 years old and we're not damaged, but because the gutters need a cleaning water was running over. These people tried to trick me into replacing a roof that was in fine shape. Mike even said that there were huge leaks going through my roof into the addict. Of course this was not true. He seem nice and personable but is not trustworthy. After having several other roofers come see the property they agreed that my shingles were in great shape and did not need to be replaced. I would not use or trust this company. Be sure to get a second opinion. read more

Ever thing with the Tim Leeper Roofing company was great, from the estimate and information supplied by Marc Price to the actual roofing by Kerry Richardson and his crew. I have a large roof and it took two full days from 7am to will after dark. The guys were working with flashlights to make sure there was no scraps or nails left on the ground both nights. They then returned on the third day to reinspect the roof and the grounds.They even reinstalled the satellite dish perfectly. The process of replacing my roof went smoothly with Tim Leeper Roofing from start to finish. Paul Olson was the estimator on my roof. He was excellent at communicating every step of the process, always called before coming out to property. They communicated timely and accurately with my insurance company to help secure coverage of what was needed including educating the insurance adjuster about updated Metro building codes that applied related to slat decking on older homes. Both the roofing crew and Lopez gutter crews are hard-working and skilled craftsmen. Andy was the project manager and Ruben the crew leader for roofing. The crew arrived early and ready to work at 8 am as scheduled. The crew was responsive to questions or concerns and did a good job protecting landscaping and extensive gardens around my home. The roof appears to be installed well and of excellent quality to my untrained eye. The Lopez company was subcontracted by Tim Leeper to install new gutters, downspouts and gutter guards. They too were very professional, responsive to questions and FAST at completing the job. My new gutters and roof look phenomenal! Had a small leak on my roof and, since I'd had such a great experience with Tim Leeper before, I called them. I asked for Rick (see previous review) and was told he was booked for the next three days, but they could send somebody else sooner. Explained Rick had done previous work on my roof and I was very happy with him. Dispatcher said she would see what she could do. Within an hour, Rick called me. Was a couple of miles away and able to come by within 20 minutes. Found my problem and, since he had what he needed on his truck, it was fixed in less than an hour. As of 10/3/17 Tim leeper has took down payment $2,000 to do my roof. Since then I haven't seen this so called excellent customer service. I keep getting the run around in when or if they will come. So I called multiple times and as of yesterday I called yet again to cancel and ask for someone other than the lady who answered who see all the notes and not sure why know one has done anything. So for $4,000 for a roof and I give you half down you think I should have time a date or something. I am truly disappoint in this company. All I want is my money refunded due to lack of communication and nothing has been done. I will report this to BBB read more

I contacted Jimmy Schutt with Tim Leeper roofing about having an inspection done on a 12 year old roof on a home i was selling. The prospective buyers had gotten another company to come and look at it, and they recommended an entire roof replacement. Jimmy looked at the same roof, and instead of trying to sell me an entire roof, only recommended the repairs that it needed. He is a fair and reasonable man that will not recommend that you do something that you don't absolutely need done. I can't recommend his services enough! read more

As a single female homeowner my experience with this company was a complete waste of time. My initial phone call with them was on 01/12. I was given an appointment the following week on 01/19 at 9 am. Even before the appointment I received a phone call from them the day before asking if they could change my appointment to 11 am. I agreed, what was I supposed to do? After, being almost 1 hour late with no phone call I called them. Then, after almost another hour they showed up to examine the leak in my roof. I ask if I could get a ball park estimate and was given one that seemed reasonable. After receiving the estimate by text message it was 2 1/2 times the ball park estimate. They did eventually take some off of their quote when I told them that we had discussed that I would paint the ceiling in the bathroom. On 01/22 I signed the quote for them to do the repair and was told that someone would call me to schedule the appointment for my repair. After several weeks I decided to call them on 02/05 to see if we were getting close to scheduling my repair. Apparently, I was lost in their system. They finally called back and I was informed that the earliest appointment I could get was on 02/21. Now keep in mind we were having a lot of rain during these weeks. On 02/07 I woke up to pouring down rain and 2 more new spots leaking in my bathroom ceiling. I did try to call them that morning but they were not open and had to leave a message with the answering service. When I did not hear back from them that morning I sent a text to the person that did my estimate to cancel my appointment. Around 2:30 pm I finally received a call from them informing me that if I still needed my roof repair done they would be glad to help me out. I found another roofing company that came out that day and completed my repair the next day. After having the new roofing company out to repair my roof and a drywall company out to do the drywall repair I quickly realized that I was being charged twice as much by Tim Leeper Roofing for the repair. We had our insurance company inspect our roof after a big storm had damaged it, and they found that a new roof was in order. Tim Leeper was recommended to me by a friend who had known Tim personally for years so I gave them a call. I don't know if this is standard, but every time I called I spoke with Tim personally. He and his guys were easy to work with, they made the sometimes confusing process of dealing with the insurance company seamless and easy, and the roof and gutters they installed look great. This was actually a little while ago and we have had many storms since then and the attic is dry as a bone. We are selling our house and it is nice to know that we have a new and solidly installed roof as a selling point. read more

I decided to call Tim Leeper myself to understand why they felt comfortable with the decision that was made which was no acknowledgement of the chaos, no discount, no nothing but two consecutive mailed invoices. I spoke with Vanessa in accounting who listened to the issues and said she'd not heard about this. She was empathetic and apologetic and shared a likely reason for some of the chaos. I did not feel she was making excuses at all but a merely offering an explanation of what had been going on with a new hire. She promised to speak to the project manager and get back with me. In less than 10 minutes, I had a call back from my sales person who offered a generous discount and another apology. I'm glad I took the time to call. While MY experience wasn't great, after seeing the way this was handled I do think I was the anomaly and this is not the typical Tim Leeper experience.
