    Biscuit breakfast sandwich
    Jami W.

Stopped in for coffee and food before heading out for a day of hiking and loved it so much we stopped back in the afternoon for another cup of coffee. I had the breakfast sandwich on the house made biscuit and my husband had the bagel breakfast sandwich. They were both outstanding and I LOVED the homemade biscuit. We shared the white chocolate raspberry scone as well, which was great. It was very busy for a fall weekend and the food came out super quick. We loved our cardamom lattes as well. Was very easy to get to off of highway 61 so highly recommend stopping in! They also sold local artwork and other nick knacks - very cute spot.

Great coffee, cute patio, great nibbles. Bakery on site. Easy to find, friendly and not a chain! Dog friendly patio with no shade.

There were lots of contenders I wanted to go for (eg the teriyaki barbecue mushroom Swiss burger!), but I ended up deciding on the Chuck Norris + I definitely wasn't disappointed! (It is a lotttttt of food.) Aside from being a burger, it was also topped with ground beef and onion rings + we were able to choose different flavors of bbq sauce too! (My memory is failing me a little and I should've written this review sooner, but I believe there was their house bbq, apple, and blackberry!) Might have been blueberry? It was delicious + we def ended up having leftovers for the next day. We got fried mushrooms and cheese curds to split too! The decor here is fun + if you're looking for something other than a burger, they do serve breakfast all day + also have salads and sandwiches too! Service was friendly and pretty quick!

The cheese curds were good, but the ranch was definitely homemade, and the fries were good too. Overall decent, but wouldn't say it's the best place to go on the north shore.

The coffee was of good quality (Duluth Coffee Company methinks) and refilled before empty. Upon seein the gnomes, I said, "Oh, no it must be getting near the end of gnome season," but the friendly gentlemen remarked happily, "it's always gnome season." Haha, hard to disagree! Some extremely cool homemade crafts were in abundance within Louise's Place, including gnomes, various knitted pieces, and greeting cards, which I ended up getting, along with some tableclothes (since gifted out, no picture available of those). For the quality of the food, the value was great!

I had a turkey sandwich and a cup of chili that were delicious. The soups are made from scratch and the portions are perfect for a lunch stop. We played it "safe" and ordered the nachos--and I say this without exaggeration: they were the best nacho platter I've ever had. Not just great tasting, but genuinely beautiful to look at. This wasn't a pile-of-chips-with-stuff-dumped-on-top situation. This was thoughtfully made, layered, and clearly crafted from real ingredients. Nothing felt canned or boxed. Fresh toppings, balanced flavors, and even details like using spinach instead of iceberg lettuce showed real care and intention. You could tell someone in that kitchen actually cares about what goes out on the plate. If you're anywhere near the area and even thinking about stopping in--do it. Great food, great vibe, and one of those meals that surprises you in the best possible way. We'll absolutely be back.
